We’re getting slammed with rain. Parts of Houston are flooding but so far we still have power. I’m going to need this storm to move a little faster. I can walker faster than it’s moving.

I’m swamped. For every email I answer I get three emails back, sometimes it would be so much easier if we were al in one office.

Oooh! I hope that storm moves out of there fast tgrimes! Nothing much for me. It was pretty chilly this morning so I didn’t go for a jog like I wanted, I’m going to wait til it warms up a bit. Today is mh bday so B and I are going to pick up a cupcake order after I get her from school. |

tgrimes I hope the storm starts to get a move on and doesn't cause too much damage. lahdeedah team nap. nam2013 do you guys have MS Teams at work? I find it's often easier than email for some communication. Easy to use too.

Day 2 of my virtual conference here. Also Day 2 of M's school assessment. Yesterday it went smoothly so hoping it does today too.
In the afternoon probably some art with the girls. We collected a bunch of leaves on our walk to make animals.

Morning! tgrimes stay safe. Hope the storm moves along! I'm waiting in the DMV parking lot. I checked in online at 715, did a status update at 740 and it said I had 260 minute wait. Did a few things for work and got a text I had 89 minutes. Finished some things up and drove the 20 minutes, just in case. My wait is still 72 minutes. I should have brought my laptop. |

I’m headed to the chiropractor today. My back is killing me from lugging this 40lb 6 year old around so much. Then I have a bunch of errands to run. Tomorrow I need to clean my house and organize. My cleaning lady had surgery so is out for a bit. And I have dropped the ball.

Current wait time 62 minutes. lfig I think the county I'm in is the highest population in KS. Its always crazy, but add pandemic, fuck this. When i need to renew my drivers license, I go to the less populated county to the south of us, since its a state thing. But this damn tag has to be done here. Last week I tried to check in on line at 11, it said they were full for the day. |

Current wait til 12 minutes.
This is the longest morning of my life.
I'm amazed how many people walk up, stare at the sign about checking in online, walk in, then walk back out a few minutes later. Or the people with kids. This place sucks normal, DNW to deal with my kid,bored AF, here. Or couples coming in together. Unless there is some need for both of them to sign something, but I've never been here when both of is were needed.

mwhip I feel your pain. When we moved here and I had to change my car registration I spent 4 hours waiting and the cashier told me I needed my actual bill of sale to show what taxes I paid. I was inbetween blind rage and tears. I assume you got in by now?

I had a dental cleaning and got molds done for a nightguard. I've rescheduled this cleaning three times because I have such bad dentist anxiety. The tech was really good though and I listened to my rap music real loud to drown out the noise so it wasn't too bad. Other than that, slow day. I have a meeting at 2 to try and get a painting project that we signed the contract in 2019 for going. The government is very slow but our GSA rep is the worst. I'm ready to get this done though. It will be my last project for a long time and I want to put it behind me.

I was scared for a minute or two. The lady was typing away, some other lady came out of a room behind her and she asked her to come over. They kept trying to type something in and finally smiled. The lady who had been helping me asked if I hadn't registered a car in my married name, it kept coming up with my maiden name. I had to think and I was like, nope, in 8 years of marriage, I sold the jeep that had been registered to me, so it had my previously married name on it, the last 2 jeeps have been leases, so they're registered under the leasing company name. I was sitting there thinking I'd have to find my divorce decree and my marriage license and was getting nervous... But it all ended up fine. |

Oooh that reminds me. M2 grinds his teeth so bad at night. We don’t have a dentist appointment for a while. Do any of you know if there is a guard I can buy for him or something that may help to reduce the grinding?

lahdeedah, I just checked Amazon and there are kits to make a night guard for kids at home. my old dentist suspected I ground my teeth at night (turns out I just clinched them during the day 😬) and recommenced a night guard. The custom ones were pricey so my hygienist told me about the ones online. I ended up never doing it but I trust her recommendation so maybe worth a try? |

Hi!
Busy morning. DH is off so I was able to hit the grocery store and Target for a few things in peace while C stayed home. She had ballet so I ran to my sister’s during class to help with paint, picked C up and have been cleaning and prepping for MIL’s visit since.
B starts tennis today so we’re doing that after school.
DH and I leave tmrw after school runs. Cannot wait to plant myself by the pool or beach at this time tmrw. I should probably pack something.
