Ok, thank you, I missed this. But angelashly you referenced this flaming no less than 5x in the thread so it’s kinda fair to say someone could interpret that as... salty? Which, to be clear, I think feelings are feelings and it’s not wrong to feel salty about a flaming, I’m not being critical. That’s a better way of putting it, thank you. This is what I was trying to say.

It’s a direct quote? It’s literally her words? I know I’m being Me right now, but this is frustrating when it’s literally in the thread a few posts up. It’s my kryptonite. I first said surprised. You corrected me and wasn’t surprised. So I said complaining because I’m not sure what else to call it. Some people have seen flames, others haven’t. I don’t know what else to say. Ok. I don’t either.

And your literal words to me were “nefarious bad behavior” but when I quoted them you were just kidding. Come on, Scout. Oh you come on. Tlex said you weren’t intending that when it’s what you said. I intended that you were calling out her behavior and wouldn’t deny it. Regardless of word choice. I know darn well that I’m usually the issue, and I’m not this time. I am calling out what I see to be *frequent mention in this thread* of being flamed, which I had never seen. That’s it. If it wasn’t phrased properly before, then ok.

I'm still hung up on requiring employees to report to the office in a situation where they can all be in their offices with the doors closed And not interact. Why not just maintain remote work (provided that the jobs can be done remotely)? Air filtration and ventilation are major concerns and aren't addressed by closed doors. Speaking for my job, documents have to be turned in for review in a very timely and time sensitive basis. They were allowing us to WFH full time back from March to June and beginning in July they scaled us back to 2 days a week. WFH also requires us to use sick time if we don't have anything active to do and when I'm at the office I can find alternative projects. Eta to be more clear we even had to come in just to drop documents off when WFH was full time. We just can't not come to the office for the nature of my job. Maybe someday they'll figure out full remote Like I said, if the job can be done remotely I feel, at this point, it should be. If yours can't, then I don't include you in that. I am also bristly because our numbers here right now are similar to what was called the big bad scary "peak" in late May and at that time we were on phase 1 but now we are on phase 3 🤔 That has nothing to do with you or your situation, it just is part of my thinking on the subject at hand

Nothing to do with the other topic, besides that’s how it came about that the flaming came up. I dunno maybe I have the Rona brain fog.

Tlex you specifically quoted me and asked why I had the reaction I had. I answered. I’ll have to rest on the I’m not sure what else to say. My reaction is unchanged.

I feel comfortable that we experienced it as two different conversations. It’s a good lesson to me that even a group of people with no vendettas against each other can do that. I always think it’s personal grudges at play* but I know I get along with all 3 of you great so it’s not that. We just gave different weight to different earlier parts of the conversation and it changed how we read things further down. (*Unless I’m wrong and we are fighting, in which case we should talk it out!)

Which I consider a social crime.

So we are if you didn’t see it it didn’t happen Cool I just want to clarify that I am not at all doubting you or saying it didn’t happen. It’s true I am saying I didn’t see it, I don’t know of it. I am not saying you are complaining - I’m saying I think I sense some lingering hurt about it, but could be wrong. That is what salty means to me, still hurting a bit.

I am calling out what I see to be *frequent mention in this thread* of being flamed, which I had never seen. That’s it. If it wasn’t phrased properly before, then ok. But she wasn't repeatedly mentioning it out of context. It was directly in response to the conversation with Olive/Olive's claims. I don't think anyone here is being malicious, but yes there is a lot of talking past. Unless I missed something, she brought up the wedding. No one else. I could be mistaken. Regardless, my point was that I have not seen flames. I stand by that. That’s all the point was. Where it went from there was all downhill.

Here’s the part where I admit I scroll past some posters posts without giving them any attention I truly didn’t think I was entering a tiff that traced back to oliveoil but of course should have known.

I don't think anyone here is being malicious, but yes there is a lot of talking past. Unless I missed something, she brought up the wedding. No one else. I could be mistaken. She kept referencing being hypocritical so I said she was, then I said if I was having a wedding I'd be heavily flamed and she said she was flamed. And I'm being concise and unemotional with this response.

I was doubting the need for your entire office to be there in person, bit I obviously don't know the specifics of your job, which is why I added a caveat. You're good. There are plenty of jobs that can't be done remotely and yours appears to be among them. I wasn't having a go.

Unless I missed something, she brought up the wedding. No one else. I could be mistaken. Yes, she brought it up but the repeated mentions were part of the conversation. Not just her going off. That's why I'm not sure why it read as complaining, and where I feel a lot of the confusion here is. And I said many pages ago that I clearly read it differently than some others.
