Thanks for the inspiration, folks, I made my usual 3 bean turkey chili (skinnytaste recipe) in the instant pot a couple of nights ago and it was just what I needed. I subbed cannelini beans for the chickpeas because I forgot to get a can and I actually really liked the change.

mrsnorris we made that chili last night. It was a fan favorite. I think DH and I would have liked more heat than we added, but SD ate two bowls.

I love mushrooms and they're delicious in spaghetti sauce, so why wouldn't they be good in chili?

@zweber, I've literally been thinking of this chili since you posted, so I threw it in the crockpot today, and also picked up Fritos scoops!

Not a recipe, per se, but we got a smoker and the last two chilis I made were with leftover smoked pork butt and leftover smoked beef brisket. Omg. So incredible.

I am super late to this thread, but I am very glad I looked at it. I now can't wait to make some chili.

I'm interested in the cream cheese chili. Is it sweet? I like sweet chicken chili the most. oh my god it's my second favorite chili in the world. super easy throw it all in the crockpot and wait kinda chili too. brb i'll grab a link I have this simmering right now and it’s so good, I liked puréed tomatoes with the chili part, no tomato chunks! ETA: quoted wrong post, I meant Zwebers recipe

I made the sweet potato chili tonight that both @dolly and brux posted and it was a huge hit. Probably my favorite new recipe. I’m limiting red meat so I used ground turkey and honestly you’d never know.

People who make chili or soup in the crockpot, are you using the plastic liners? I have some but I also have only ever made salsa chicken thighs in my crockpot, so it wasn't full full of liquid, and only in there for 4 hours. I have a huge crockpot and the crock is heavy AF.

Yes I use the liners. I occasionally get a rip from scooping but the cleanup from a small rip is still preferred over no liner at all.

I make green chili and red chili with canned enchilada sauces as the base. It can be a very quick chili if you use like leftover chicken and veggies and canned beans.

I'm going to make MH wash it or put it in the dishwasher even though it takes up most of the bottom rack.
