I’ll need to go back and check...but when was the last time a President filled three SCOTUS seats in one term? What are the odds? Nixon had 4 if I’m remembering correctly. (I wasn’t alive, I like random President facts, like Taft didn’t want to President but his wife wanted it for him, he was our fattest president not sure with the swine in office, and went from the White House to the Supreme Court)

Also--- if Trump was able to come in and fuck all this shit up...why not believe someone else can come in and do something just as drastic in a different direction? I mean....all the shit going on has always been happening...now it is happening more publicly. He didn´t come out of nowhere. Supreme Court appointments are different and Joe Biden or the next Democrat President can undo a lot of things but not that! I think the biggest fear (for me and I’m sure many others) is losing decades of progress in this one appointment. These people can say something is unconstitutional when it is actually constitutional. The rights they can take away can last decades. Reverse Roe v. Wade, can be decades till that gets put back on the books. Even if Biden tries to do it himself, they could deem it unconstitutional.

You appoint someone in their 40s or 50s they are there for 40 years. This is literally a generation or more of influence.

Trump said RBG was an amazing woman. I really don’t want him to speak about her, good or bad.

I don't think Trump and Mitch McConnell GAF about abortion. They only care about it to the extent that they can get votes.

I just woke up to this. I'm devastated by the loss of such an amazing woman.
Her quiet calm and fortitude and amazing brain. I'm just sad.

I’m just so sad. I’m curled up in my “when there are 9” sweatshirt trying to find the strength and courage to wake up tomorrow and fight for a better world for my daughters. Like she did every day. But it’s so hard. I feel so hopeless right now. I’m so tired. How did she do it for so long?
Also I’m a woman of color and a lawyer and I really echo the sentiment of “no one is perfect.” God damn, this woman fought and she fought hard. I’m crying for our loss tonight.

I did not cry last night, but I did this morning. Just thinking about her being in pain and holding on. God I wish she could have retired in 2016. I can't even imagine what life would look like right now if Trump hadn't been elected and that sucks.

I woke up to this news and I am sad, scared, and angry all at once. I am crying for my daughter. What kind of a world is going to grow up in? We have to rise up like never before and fight.

I would add South Carolina to this list! We are working hard locally to be done with Lindsey Graham and elect Jaime Harrison.

Yes, it’s a really close race between Sarah Gideon and Susan Collins right now. Throw some money at Gideon.

Theresa Greenfield in Iowa is a great place to throw money. She is virtually tied with Joni Ernst and Joni really, really needs to go. She’s a dangerous Trumper. David Wasserman (The Cook Political Report) spoke this week and said if he had to choose one of the close races that the dems have a better shot it is this one.

And Michigan! Send your money here for Peters! This is why I like the Get Mitch thing, sends it wherever it's needed. Also there’s a chance that if Mark Kelly wins in AZ, he will be seated during the lame duck session since McSally was appointed to replace McCain. So his win would be particularly impactful.

Mark better win! My hopes for America greatly hinge on a victory for him. He’s a good, good man. I’m so glad he chose to continue to serve in this way.

I wrote to all of my useless senators this morning. Just want them to know that the voting public remembers where they stood on this issue 4 years ago.

I have as well. Hid my post from all my Rep friends on FB so it would not get lost in the comments. I have no time for social media banter or trolls. This is too important.
