This came up before tapa crapped it's pants for days on end. So lets be healthy together!
What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible?
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings?
What are you doing to maintain your mental health?
How are you doing with weight gain?
These are loose questions. Feel free to answer any or none or add as you see fit. I'm not much for formalities.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? LOOOOOOOOL. I'm on summer break, so I am lazy AF right now. It's beginning to take a toll on me for sure because pushing a shopping cart around the store wrecked me today, so I need to start going for daily walks at least. I'm used to being on my feet all day and this week I have been sitting on my rear end doing coursework. I may also start doing some yoga in the blissful quiet of my home once DD and MH are out of the house.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? Eating all the things. Very responsible, no?
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Letting my kid watch television so that I can nap? But also, straight-up asking my husband for help. He is amazing and I usually don't even have to ask. I am incredibly lucky to have him in my life. He just gets it.
How are you doing with weight gain? I was doing awesome until about a week and a half ago. I am mildly concerned at my sudden and sharp uptick in weight gain, where I went from a 2lb gain over the first 20 weeks to a 5lb gain in a week. I'm keeping an eye on it. I know it's a thing associated with BP issues and pre-e, but it could also just be me + laziness + bad eating.

I was so healthy with J. Working out, walking and running. Lifting. Barre. Healthy meals. I was sick for two trimesters so I only could stomach healthy foods. Sugar made me throw up.
I feel so gross right now. Someone tell me that I can turn it around. All the shit and hospitalizations with J killed my diet and exercise. I am still within the norm of weight gain, but higher this time. I did start meal planning healthy meals, but will then eat handfuls of crackers...I can't get full and just want more. It is so damn hot to walk and cuddling with my kid seems more important.

you, the heat has been dissuading me from doing much of anything active too. I'm thinking of starting to go swimming during public swim times during the week. Is that something you could look into? I get that working out is probably low on your priorities list right now, though - I think we'd all feel the same way that cuddling is more important. Re: snacks, I have made some positive changes this week in having baby carrots, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes around. I got rid of junk food (until I bought a chocolate bar today, heh). I will happily just snack on baby carrots if there's a plate beside me and they are totally guilt-free. You can DEFINITELY turn this around. Don't sweat it. With the amount of motivation you had last time, I'm sure of it!

Activity: I take barre classes, so I'm trying to do 2-3 per week depending on the schedule. I always feel really good (I.e., achy and exhausted in the best way possible) after. We are also trying to take family walks on the weekend, as long as the weather allows. Also, does wearing heels while pregnant count Aversions/cravings: I have been a little lax recently on making sure I'm balancing my meals. I don't have too many aversions. Not craving as many baked goods as last time and don't really want chocolate (not that I haven't eaten it). But my main cravings are egg sandwiches, fresh fruit, and ice cream. And the mango black tea lemonade at Starbucks! Mental health: Barre is a huge stress reliever for me. I've been anxious about different things this pregnancy, and barre centers me and focuses me on my health and my body. I also remind myself that most of what I think must be done before the twins come can be done later if necessary. I'm also still trying to wrap my brain around having twins. I've seen the ultrasounds; I bought the cribs. But I'm thinking it won't feel real until they are here. Weight gain: better than last time, probably because I didn't feel well most of first trimester. Definitely was surprised by the gain at my last appointment, so am trying to watch the needless calories and eat something with substance instead (typed with an empty ice cream bowl next to me ...)

Maybe a "what can you do to make small, healthier improvements" should have been a question too.

Maybe a "what can you do to make small, healthier improvements" should have been a question too. There's always next week, if we want to make this a weekly or bi-weekly check-in!

Thank you for starting this!! I will fill mine out and then go read. What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? DD has both swim class and ballet/tap class at the Y on Saturday mornings. I generally squeeze in a workout while she is in ballet, and H stays with her. As for the rest of the week, H and I have been trying to schedule gym evenings where we drop A off at the Y day care and go do a class. Last time, we did a spin class, but my knees kept hitting my belly and it was super uncomfortable, so I went and did the elliptical instead lol. We have been aiming for one Bodypump class/week and one other week day class. This week it didn't happen because schedule but oh well. It is a good goal. I have also been doing a lot of walking where possible- last weekend, one day I walked to the park that DD and H rode the bike (she has a tandem attachment) to which was about 2 miles round trip. Plus I pushed the new double stroller to test it out. The next day we went to the zoo which is a lot of hilly walking. Things like that. Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? Not quite as much, which is good. And not too many cravings either, which is also good! For cravings, I do my best to ask myself if I am really hungry, and if it would truly satisfy me. Many times I do give in. What are you doing to maintain your mental health? I have been trying not to push myself. For example, today I *could* go to the gym after work. But knowing that tomorrow I will likely have to work a couple hours overtime (we are severely short staffed due to a training), I prefer to take a nap. These 5 AM days are really exhausting and 3 days in a row of it catches up to me. I would like to rest this afternoon for both my physical and mental health. I am a workout fanatic while not pregnant, but while pregnant (and with kids!) I have learned that I need to know when to take it slowly. How are you doing with weight gain? Not bad, actually. I feel huge. But at this rate, I will end up at the same ending weight as I was with DD, even though I was 20 lb heavier starting this pregnancy. (That is if I gain a lb/week). So I am happy with that. I have been doing Hello Fresh every other week now that aversions are gone, but I think I may pause our subscription until 2018. Mostly for financial reasons as we prepare for maternity leave, but also because I know that the meals are a bit time consuming. I just for a new instant pot (yay!) so I plan to use that a lot.

misskilljoy, having a partner who gets it is the best. H is the same way. He never ever complains when I ask him to do something, and most of the time he just does it without asking. Also, I need to do what you did and toss the junk. I have been eating a lot of pretzels. It isn't the WORST food, no. But veggies would be better. you do NOT feel guilty! Cuddling with your kid is definitely important. I will say with my pregnancy with DD I did my regular workouts for the first 20 weeks, and then I was doing prenatal yoga at least twice a week (more toward the end when I was on leave), eating healthy, etc- I gained 50+ lb. This time around, I was super sick for 16 weeks and did not work out at all until maybe 18 weeks. Now, I try for 3 days a week of some type of workout, but it doesn't always happen. And I will probably be gaining 30 lb if I maintain the track I am on. I am a firm believer that for most people, your body knows what it needs while pregnant. This doesn't apply to all scenarios, of course, but it does apply to most. bethers the peach green tea lemonade from SBux has been a big craving for me. Same with the Arizona lite arnold palmer. Barre class is SUCH a good workout. I wish the Y offered that as a class, but I don't think they do. I always hate it while I am doing it but feel amazing afterward.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? Not a damn thing.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? I didn't have any aversions this time and the cravings have slowed down so I'm back to eating like a normal sane human being.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Sleep when I can.
How are you doing with weight gain? I've gained 8 lbs.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? I walk 1-3 miles around my neighborhood about 4 days a week and go to the gym for the elliptical 1-2 times a week.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? I don't really have any cravings or aversions. I'm eating mostly the same as I do not pregnant.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? I'm on summer break, so that helps. Like others, I'm just trying to listen to my body and allowing myself to rest when I'm tired.
How are you doing with weight gain? I've gained 15 lbs (at 23 weeks) which surprised me. I didn't think it was that much, I'm hoping to keep it as under control as I can.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? I'm going to baby boot camp 2-3x a week and running 3-4x a week.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? No real aversions this time and cravings have been minimal. I've given in to some and not to others.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Exercise is helping keep me sane right now. But I am concerned about potentially not getting time beyond my 6-8 weeks maternity leave paid. There's nothing I can do about that now though so I'm trying not to let that stress me out until I get there.
How are you doing with weight gain? Ehhhhhhh, not as well as I'd like. I'm up more than I had hoped (18lbs at 21 weeks) by now, especially since I'm starting this pregnancy ten pounds heavier than with DD. I think a lot of my resistance to rest days from workouts comes from my desire to do what I can to slow the weight gain train. The weight gain really fucks with my mind, I don't like this part of pregnancy. I don't like not having control regardless of food or workouts. I'm definitely hitting a point where I'm feeling very upset about my weight and my body. I was in my workout capris this morning getting us ready for boot camp and DD was following me around pushing on my butt. Yeah, it's huge kid, thanks for the reminder.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? Yoga class X2 a week and occationally YwA at home. I try to power walk for about 45min on the treadmill at least a few times a week, but that has been dwindling lately.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? No aversions to speak of. I either crave fast food or fruit. I try to ignore the unhealthier craving as much as possible, but occationally give in. I eat all the fruit I want. I'm pretty sure we've had watermelon in our fridge 90% of the summer so far because it is my favorite.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Naps, yoga, and just taking all my stressors one step at a time. Also whining to whoever will listen.
How are you doing with weight gain? For some reason, I lost about 6lbs during first tri even though I wasn't sick or had any aversions. I'm finally +1lb over my prepregnancy weight.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? I've been really bad about this- we've been busy putting our house on the market and I just don't have the time. But I need to stop making excuses and just do it. My goal will be to start doing some type of cardio 3x/week and adding in yoga and exercises from the Bradley Method.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? Not having any more aversions. I try not to give in to cravings if they're unhealthy, but if I do it's just a small amount. I'm on vacation this week so there's a lot of unhealthy food around (see: cheese ball pic in HDBD) but I'm trying to focus of filling up on fruits/veg first.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Just trying to maintain a positive and stress-free attitude. Which is very difficult while pregnant, buying/selling a house, etc.
How are you doing with weight gain? I've gained 11 lb so far.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? I've been trying go for a walk or bike ride everyday. Sometimes it's hot or miss if I can make it happen though.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? No real food aversions. As far as cravings I tend to eat what I want lol.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Getting the walk or bike ride in definitely helps my mental health. I'm also realizing I've been holding in certain thoughts or feelings so talking about stuff has helped.
How are you doing with weight gain? I'm struggling to gain. Last month I lost weight and the scale hasn't moved since. I eat a ton so I'm not sure why.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? I'm taking yoga 2-3 x per week, walking the dogs almost daily, and I want to start doing some pregnancy pilates videos too.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? No aversions, no crazy cravings but I have been indulging in the treats a lot lately.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Yoga is a big one for me. Plus I like to zone out and listen to a book when I walk the pups which I think helps.
How are you doing with weight gain? Up 10 lbs so far which isn't bad. It did catch me off guard though because I lost 2 and put on 4 within 2 weeks lol. I am starting out on the heavier side so the upper weight I was told to gain is 20 which means I'm halfway there.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? Prenatal yoga once a week, trying to do some sort of weight training video once a week, and walking at lunch or in the evenings as much as possible. Last weekend I went for a 45 minute bike ride, and the week before a long hike. I'd like to be more active, but we've been pretty busy with random stuff (friends in town etc.) and so I haven't been squeezing it in where I should. Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? Never had any aversions, and not many cravings either. If I have something junky I try to limit the serving (like a happy meal instead of an adult meal ) or I get a kids sized ice cream if we go out for ice cream. What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Umm, nothing in particular. I've been okay so far, been sleeping well at least. Poor sleep is usually a sign of stress. How are you doing with weight gain? Umm, not great, and it's hard on me! I was up 16 lbs at 21 weeks. I'm trying to keep telling myself that it doesn't seem like there's much you can do about it. Some women gain a lot, some don't and there's not always a rhyme or reason to it (like cnf seems to be the most active, but is gaining like me!) So maybe that's how I'm managing my mental health, telling myself there's nothing I can do about my weight or the size of my belly, since I'm already exercising some and eating fairly healthy. I usually have a very consistent weight, like maybe a variance of 3 lbs over the past 8 years, so normally my way of life seems to maintain my weight, so it's just a weird feeling for me!

I tell myself it's out if my control too because really your body does what it needs. Last time I went to spin classes through 30w and ran through 32w and still packed on 45lbs by the time my water broke at 36+3. I'm under where I was last time at this point so I'm really hoping to gain less this go around.

What kind of things are you doing to keep yourself active if possible? I was trying to hit my goal of 10k a day, go on two walks a day. I haven't been keeping up with that at all the last few weeks and I am kind of bummed at myself for not keeping up with it. It has just been so, so hot. I need to figure out a way to make it work.
Are you still dealing with aversions? How are you dealing with cravings? No aversions or cravings. I just like food a lot.
What are you doing to maintain your mental health? Not really anything. I have been feeling a lot more hormonal/crabby /moody lately so I think getting back to walking regularly would really help with that.
How are you doing with weight gain? I'd say poorly. I did great with my first pregnancy and gained exactly thirty. Just had my 24 week appt. and I am up 21 lbs. That seems insane to me. I only weighted 9 lbs more when I gave birth to DD at 39 weeks. Yikes.
