We still have another week!
We are in hybrid mode but I have a preschooler so full day twice a week. With stuff sent home for the days off.

DS doesn't start until next week. Even though our town is doing a hybrid plan with the choice to do full distance learning, I apparently signed him up for the 4 day in person option thanks to some unclear wording in one of the eleventy billion surveys I had to take. So he'll be distance learning on Mondays and going to school the rest of the week.
I'm scared to send him, but I think it'll be better for him as long as the school can do it safely. My state has mostly done a good job handling COVID and my town's numbers are well below the state average, otherwise I think I would have chosen the distance learning. Now I just need DS to practice getting his mask on and off and zipping his new lunchbox (I bought the kind that zips out into a placemat, so a little different from the one he had last year).

So due to DH’s job, we will be quarantining every 12 weeks! So he’ll miss 10-12 days and speech therapy. Dh works on a ship over seas so anyone who leaves New England, needs to quarantine 14 days, no testing no exceptions.

If you're starting next week, is that the typically time school starts there or did they push it back? We usually start the last week of August.

We usually start the last week of August too--I think usually the Tuesday of that week in our town, but DS started on the Wednesday last year because he was starting kindergarten.

We start next week too. Online on September 16 and then hybrid (as of now) September 21. Alternating weeks of 2 and 3 days in school. Still no schedule or real info about what the remote days will look like. There’s a Zoom scheduled for Monday about it! It’s definitely a late start for us, but I don’t see anywhere they’ve cut out vacation days for us. We go late here, until almost the end of June, but that is typical.

Today was DS’ first day of SK. It was a rough start to the morning but he got on the bus ok. He had a great day, wore his mask and was very excited they got to play on the “big kid yard”.

My son’s first day of third grade was 8/31. We opted to do distance learning for now but can change to hybrid if we want to later. It’s going pretty well so far.
