LOL, lfig , I sent H a picture of those drain cleaner things and told him to look at them. Not a minute later, he responded to my text with 'GET THEM' so they're purchased. They are very helpful when your kid clogs the toilet and the water is too high to plunge without making a huge mess. I hate that I know this!

mwhip our a/c was leaking in our basement a few weeks ago and turned out the drain was clogged. The guy put an air hose to it and blew it out. Then last week I got this amazing tool from amazon to clean out the shower drain. It was amazingly disgusting but now it drains great! Vastar 3 Pack 19.6 Inch Drain Snake Hair Drain Clog Remover Cleaning Tool www.amazon.com/dp/B01DP87IF8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DY5vFbYWM9SX9 I get those pull things at HD or Lowe’s. They work great. mwhip I got this stuff to deal with my clogged shower (I shed a lot when not pregnant or newly pp) but haven’t had to try it yet. I hope it works because fishing wet hair out of the drain is not my favorite. www.lowes.com/pd/Liquid-Plumr-16-fl-oz-Drain-Cleaner-Pour-Bottles/1000132467

Hey. Back to the grind. It was 44 and raining when H went to the bus this morning, brr. I ended up turning my heat on because of V, I don’t want her to freeze. After I dropped S at school V and I went to target to basically buy all the coffee. I was down to my last nespresso pod (I use 2 at a time) and that just won’t do. The only thing I have planned for the rest of the day is work this evening. I hope all the first-day’ers have a great day! mwhip I hope the house repairs don’t cost $$$$ flamingo you should set up Apple Pay on your phone, that way you always have a way to pay. I find that 90% of the places I go has that as a payment option.

yummeecookee, on one of the first days of K last year, one of S BFFs threw up at aftercare. Got the emergency call for pick up, and upon questioning, he forgot to drink all day and it had been a 90 degree day. He just totally dehydrated himself. After that she kept reminding him day after day to drink! lahdeedah I'm crossing everything that he's ok and still employed tonight!

Hi!! First day of 1st grade for L. The drop off line was crazy but quick. Parents can’t go on property and can’t get out of their car. It’s a little intense. We will see how it goes. C is already on his way to pick L up. Only a 1/2 day. We have multiple surprises for L today. He knows he’s getting lunch from Wendy’s. But there are 2 surprises he doesn’t. The first is we bought some fish and they get to live in his room. E is very excited as well. If L can take good care of the fish we will get a bigger tank and more fish for his birthday. The other surprise is we are getting Olive Garden for dinner. He told me last night he didn’t want to go to first grade because he has to do real science class. I laughed because I told him he uses his science skills in baking and he felt better. I’m not sure what brought on the fear but he seemed fine this morning.

OK help me think something through.
MH first trip in 7 months cancelled last minute and turned into a quick drive into MD today to deliver something. He left here early this morning, stopped at a warehouse in MD to p/u something, and then continued to his final destination, further into the state (an outdoor job site). Other than eating (ordered to go and ate in his car) and gas/bathroom stops, he made no other stops and did not stay long at the job site.
NJ put MD on the quarantine list today. After he already left. He is not staying over. Officially the rule says if you are just "passing through" you don't quarantine. But he is not passing through since that was his destination.
Does he still quarantine? DO WE???? The boys are in camp/DC, S has meet the teacher tomorrow, and starts remote learning. I AM FREAKING OUT. Tell me what you would do. Please.

I think I read something that said if it’s less than 24 (12 hours?)hours you don’t have to quarantine. I think it was an article about parents dropping their kids off on college campuses. As long as they could turn around and go back home in the 24 hour period, they didn’t have to abide by the tri-state area’s rule.

But my concern is school/day care. They ask "did you or anyone in your household travel outside the state since we last saw you?" If I answer yes, I think they will not let the boys in? OYE

lahdeedah Fingers crossed about the meeting. Keep us posted. jewels I dont know the specifics of the rules but he is passing through and doing everything he can to lower the risk, I’d probably answer no on the daycare questionnaire.

I am offended NJ would put MD on the quarantine list @jewlels. jk of, course. I’m thinking like the other ladies though, he was not here long enough and not interacting with others, not reportable.

jewels I think I’d just call the daycare, explain your dilemma and ask. ETA but I’m a stickler for rules which in these times is so hard since the rules often aren’t clear. I need people to tell me what to do!!!

jewels I say no to the quarantine. He wasn’t there long enough. If you want to be truthful on the questionnaire, just put that dad had a delivery in MD, but did not stay overnight. I don’t think they would tell the boys to stay gone under those circumstances.

OK, nam2013 my original thought was to ask them, however, I can't not send the boys for 2 weeks, and S would miss the start of school! I would be more likely to just send MH away than do that lol So I emailed the school and told a white lie - that he was scheduled to do this and I saw MD was on the list and what should he do. So they responded that the boys could come but MH could not do drop off p/u b/c he should be quarantining, not them. Which is perfect. I do all the drop off/pick ups anyway. so a hug relief. Thanks y'all! And yummeecookee apparently it's a specific formula they are using and once you are over X % of positives, you go on this list. There are currently like 35 states on it lol

lahdeedah I hope your Hs meeting goes good and no changes for you all! jewels sounds like your H is taking every precaution to keep himself and your family safe. Assuming he's wearing mask and washing his hands/sanitizer, I'd continue to send the boys and wouldn't quarantine.

I'm on edge and frustrated. My sil has been battling all this depression and not doing well. My brother made her quit her job and they rescued a dog this weekend to give her something to occupy her mind and need for work. All that is fine. But we haven't met the dog and she just drove into my yard with the dog on the golf cart. My dogs obviously run to her and zorro is sniffing her and his back hair is raised up. Well I'm trying to call them in, with Mallory on my hip and the 4 big boys trying to talk to me and her dog goes nuts barking and growling at zorro. So then flash goes into protective mode and starts barking. I kept on zorro and he finally got off her golf cart. She very slowly calls to her boys to get back on so they can leave. They finally get on and they leave and my dogs chased the golf cart to their fence. Like wtf. She adopted a very skittish and terrified 3 year old Australian shepherd rescue and brings it into a yard with 2 huge male dogs??? She's trained dogs in the past. I just have no idea what she was thinking and I can't stop thinking about what could of happened. I've seen zorro attacked another dog before. Its not pretty...... my dogs are very protective and aggressive with other animals and thats why they are always contained.

Well, The meeting did not go well. MH is now included in the casualties of last week. Im kinda just like... of course, it’s 2020.
So his job search begins and we’ll most likely have to move next year. But that’s too far out for now. I need to think about the next month and what do I need to get in before we lose his health insurance.
Obligatory Fuck 2020.

Oh and after they left we went on a golf cart ride to their house to meet the dog. My mom was with me and she got within leash range and the dog came up and sniffed her then growled, barked and attempted to bite my moms hand......
