1st day of school over here. Logged into first zoom class and the iPad said we had to give permission to use the mic. Woke up mh cause wtf? He pushes some buttons and screws up a few more things and the mic still doesn't work. Had to shut it all down and start fresh. Then the teacher didn't realize we were waiting in the zoom lobby. She's finally up and running now. Mh went back to bed, but her desk is by his door, so it's not like he's going to be able to sleep. Today I'm working the afternoon shift. Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow when I have to go in in the morning. He's going to need to get his ass up.

It it the Mondayist Tuesday ever. I had to call the HVAC company we use yesterday and leave a message, telling them it wasn't an emergency, but if they could call today, which they already did. We have water coming from somewhere it shouldn't be on the unit in the basement. Fortunately it isn't a lot of water and it isn't getting to the carpet, but something isn't right. Our filter was completely wet yesterday, so not sure how long it's been going on. They said they would be out around 330 today.
I also have a call into a plumber because H's tub drains SO SLOW. 2 hours after his shower and there is still water in the tub. I gave the dogs baths in it yesterday, but I pulled out as much extra dog hair as I could and it was super slow before.
I'm hoping we don't have some much bigger issue at hand that is causing both issues. I guess if we do, we caught it before it causes major damage to our basement from lines backing up.
My foot is also pretty painful so I'm skipping my walk/jog today, 3rd day in a row. We did get our recumbant bike delivered and assembled yesterday, so I think I'll go sit on it for my lunch to do something.

I’m here! I’ve been MIA but once again nothing going on just a whole lot of long weekend-y stuff. We’re closing the pool today, and Josie started with some more synchronous learning. I’m not a fan, yet, but I’m trying to reserve judgment. Nothing much on the agenda today. I have an extra closet in our bedroom that ended up just being a trash hole for donations and extra bags and random boots so when the kids are settled into a show later this afternoon I’m going to give it a full half an hour and see if I can empty it.

Second week of school and I’ve already gotten a call from the school nurse - B went to see her bc she said she had a stomach ache and headache. The nurse was very nice and was clear B does not have COVID symptoms. She said she’d give B some ginger ale. And then IDK?? I guess I will have to go get her if she’s not feeling better. But I’m also not sure if like now I have to quarantine her or get a note from her pcp saying she is not contagious ?
ETA - I found this crazy flow chart of what to do for Covid symptoms and non Covid symptoms. So I think I got it.

I gave those, but it was saying to go into the settings and change the privacy settings. He somehow made this magnified screen pop up that wouldn't go away, then the whole thing froze. It was great.

Morning. I’m so freaking tired, we had some quotes for our drainage problems €4500 euro was the about the cheapest. We saved money, just not for this. Work is crazy busy and people just aren’t grasping the time strain its under. I’m sort of driving myself nuts with worrying about what we can and can’t do at the moment. Basically most things are allowed (with some restrictions) but I’m not sure I (we) are comfortable with a lot of things... Think field trips with other parents driving, am I okay with my kids being in someone else’s car? Am I okay with play dates? Also ds has a ‘sports day’ at a track course 8 miles away were we have to drops the kids of ourselves. But Dh has to teach and I can bike just fine, just not 32 miles on the cargo bike in one day. So now we have figure out how to get him there...
Sorry I’m rambling. I just need a day without having to overthink everything.
Eta and a night sleeps without waking up from the pain several times would be helpful too.

mwhip our a/c was leaking in our basement a few weeks ago and turned out the drain was clogged. The guy put an air hose to it and blew it out. Then last week I got this amazing tool from amazon to clean out the shower drain. It was amazingly disgusting but now it drains great! Vastar 3 Pack 19.6 Inch Drain Snake Hair Drain Clog Remover Cleaning Tool www.amazon.com/dp/B01DP87IF8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DY5vFbYWM9SX9 I hope it's that simple, but the water is dripping from somewhere in the unit onto the thing the filter goes into, so I don't think it's just a clogged drain. Although H did say water was just sitting in it. Which would make sense, if the filter has had water going through it continuously, there is going to be some lint or some kind of material not belonging in a drain, that would clog it. The a/c people will be out this afternoon. The local plumber I called couldn't get to me today, so I'm on their schedule for tomorrow AM. We've talked about having our drains snaked since we moved in. One of our neighbors with the same floor plan, had their lines back up in their basement and cause about $10k worth of damage and we've been meaning to do it since. but I'm going to show those tools to H and maybe we get them to keep on hand with all of Evie's hair!

LOL, lfig, I sent H a picture of those drain cleaner things and told him to look at them. Not a minute later, he responded to my text with 'GET THEM' so they're purchased.

Happy first day of school!
We have back-to-school pedicures and zoom open house tonight.
Yesterday we went on a beautiful hike at Mt. Rainier. It was along a lake that led to a waterfall and it was gorgeous. The clearest, bluest water I've seen outside of HI.

Hi!
Just got home from ballet; I was going to do a grocery run doing her lesson but DH called to inform me I left my wallet in his car yesterday. Whoops! Glad he found it before I had a cart-full of groceries.

Well the nurse called again and I had to go get B. I honestly think she is dehydrated. She has done this before - complained of a stomach ache but meanwhile has had nothing to drink. Her water bottle was still at the same level as when I packed it this morning.
She is now having lunch and acting totally fine!

Morning.
I took M to school and then chilled at home for a couple hours. I’m now at my hair appointment and then I have a dentist appointment. Then home to retrieve M from the bus. Busy day.
MH has his meeting at later this afternoon. I’m trying not to think about it. FX he still has a job this afternoon.

yummeecookee Sorry about B. Glad she seems better now. M is still a little stopped up and coughs every now and then. He has had no fever, so I sent him to school. Just have him the Flonase this AM. I have been waiting for a call, but so far so good. The constant worry is draining. nam2013 I’m sorry.
