Hi.
We made the bus by the skin of our teeth this morning, I am hoping this will help teach B not to dawdle. Our bus driver this year is very punctual.
Now C and I are home, I got dinner started (crock pot), and I'm going to touch up a couple places in her room that I've been meaning to fix since I painted in July

Morning. H got a bloody nose 5 minutes before the bus came so I actually decided I would drop her off because she has to wear a mask on the bus. We got there right when the bell sounded. Hopefully she doesn’t get another one at school, I did give her teacher a heads up though just in case. I just dropped S off and am now sitting in the line at the sbux drive thru. I need to run a couple errands and then hang at home until pick up time.

I get to go through the drive-thru open house at school today to pick up a bunch of crap for Cadence. The pad for the rug for the play room is supposed to be delivered today, so I need to clean up the playroom so I can put the rug down. Wow....my day sounds exciting...

Morning! We are cutting vacation short (by one day) due to the constant rain and our uncomfortableness going anywhere inside. But the boys had a blast and didn’t even realize we did almost nothing lol. Last nights’ excitement was a full family game of the floor is lava.
MH is outside cleaning up bc he left the garbage unlocked and a bear got in it. Then he’s taking S fishing one last time before we leave. I’m packing up and sipping coffee with B and will perhaps take him for a walk while they are gone.

MH is at his aunt's funeral and I'm cleaning. Of course once the kitchen was clean A spilled a big thing of coffee.
I should probably get everyone dressed and outside to burn energy but I'm not really feeling it.

Morning. I’m at my second job today. All the techs had to get tested this morning just in case. No one has symptoms, but they need to know. Results come in this afternoon.
I’m leaving early because we need to move most of the furniture out of the house. My floors are finally getting resurfaced tomorrow. Yay!
M started school today. Drop off was a breeze, but only because we are hybrid this week and next. I think he was pretty happy to go.

Morning.
I have a bit of work to do and then I am logging off cause MH and I have to run some errands to make decisions about the house renos. Choose a stain for the hardwood refinish, pick up tile for the ensuite and hopefully find a new bathroom light fixtures. Should be fun, it's exciting getting closer to reno date!

lahdeedah I hope he has a great first day! jewels Those pics are adorable! Today is my day to go into the office. They scheduled a meeting for a large group of people at 1:30, which we aren't supposed to have large gatherings, and I know there is no way I would leave in time to get Evie from school, so I'm going into the office earlier, so I can leave well before people will start showing up for the meeting, and will attend via phone. That way, I can be on the phone while sitting in the school parking lot. So I'm trying to hurry though my workout and get work done so I can get in the shower and leave around 1130.

WFH today. I've been busting my butt to get caught up at work these past few weeks so I'm taking a long lunch break today to do a little back-to-school shopping with one of the girls. I'll take the other one either tomorrow or SAT. They wanted some alone time.
If you're looking for a new show I recently discovered Offspring on Netflix. It's an Australian show about an imaginative OB, her crazy family, and the hot new pediatrician who joins her staff. So far it's funny with heart and I'm fully invested.

Morning. I slept awfull, the back pain is waking me up. First day back to school for me this time. I was nervous, but I think it went well. I sort of hate the set up with a table in between me and the student when taking to them, but hey gotta stay safe 🤷🏼♀️.
I just go home and noticed a bruise and some marks on ds’ face. When I asked how that happens he said he couldn’t remember. About an hour later he told us a boy hit him with is fists at school ‘but not to worry he only fought back with words’. Apparently he told the teacher who made the other boy apologise. Is it weird that I’m upset for my kind hearted boy and a little mad that school didn’t contact/tell us this? Even Dh was startled, he just scooped ds up and cuddled him, staring that he handled the situation well and that he could always always come to us and tell us this.

nam2013 If he got hit hard enough for marks and bruising to appear, then they should have told you.

Our school sent out an email asking parents to sign up to be substitute teachers. If I didn’t have 3 different places of employment, I probably would have. I’m sure they need it this year.

Yes, I've heard the district north of us is short-handed in terms of both teachers and subs. :/ I've thought about signing up to sub once my kids are both in school full-time. I loved helping out in B's class last year.

Agreed nam2013 , not over-reacting at all. Anything physical like that (this was obviously more than a push/shove), I think parents should hear about. Last year my phone rang one day after school and it was the principal's assistant; B was trying to help a classmate with something, and the little boy said something pretty ugly to B. I hadn't heard the first thing about the incident from Bradley so obviously it didn't scar him for life, but it was nice to get a call letting me know the school was aware, etc. (Of course they didn't tell me who the other kid was, but B did and it didn't really surprise me )
