I woke up to a horrifying Charlie horse and got only a moment of reprieve before it tensed back up again. Truly an awful way to wake up and now I’m hobbling around instead of waddling around!
My OBs office called yesterday and my csection is officially scheduled for 11/2. I don’t know if I will make it to that day (I just have this feeling he will come on his own unlike DD) but we will see.
And lately, he kicks so, so hard that sometimes it is actually uncomfortable. Woof.

polson, yes I had my glucose test yesterday. It was a million times worse than I remember! I had to plug my nose and chug because it just tasted so awful. They had to stick me 4 times to get my blood drawn. My BP was high but came down a bit towards the end of my appt so I guess they’re not worried. But baby is head down! At least that’s what she said based on feeling so that’s exciting. I know there’s still a lot of time to flip and flop around but with my history of a last minute breechie, I prefer head down sooner than later. 😆

glad baby is head down Fearsy! mine is for now too🤞🏼he’s firmly planted on my left side and is pushing everything up into that side of my rib cage. i am having such a hard time catching my breath and it just hurts. i’m just waiting for him to shift a little - i am so uncomfortable. katespade that’s exciting to have that date set. i can’t believe we’re only 2 months away from baby time. when is your next growth scan? thinking of you and hoping that things continue to go well.

I have an appointment tomorrow. I'm not really looking forward to it, but I am planning on picking up donuts after. I pick up my glucose drink and my test is a week and a half later.
I can't believe it's September.

Next scan is on the 18th. Then I have one sometime the week of October 12- I suspect that’ll be the deciding scan. When I had the 32 week growth scan with DD she looked totally good and they didn’t order another one. Fearsy the drink was SO BAD this time. Lukewarm lime. HORK.

Can't believe it's September already! I just booked our newborn/family pics, which seems just around the corner. I guess I should start thinking about Christmas presents, too.
I've got my glucose test next week; not looking forward to it. Also have a rhogam shot, so it will be a very fun appointment. I'm wondering if baby is now head down. I'm feeling a lot of pressure (none before) and so much movement now. Before it was fairly sporadic, but now it's regular jabs near my ribs.

katespade, Oh lime? Gross! Mine was the dye free, unflavored kind and it was like warm thick syrup. Unflavored definitely doesn’t mean flavor free. 🤢

Unflavored definitely doesn’t mean flavor free. 🤢 I was like “oh I can handle the drink!” because with DD it was ice cold and orange flavored. I truly thought I’d barf this time for the first 20 minutes (and then had the worst feeling like I’d have issues on the other end).

The appointment was fine. I'm not overly impressed with the OBs and how little time they spend with me, but whatever, I'm happy enough to get out of there quickly too. We have well known local donut shop that makes potato donuts. I'm usually an old-fashioned kinda person but I also like their chocolate sea salt, lemon, and sweet potato ginger. It took a lot of self control to get half a dozen instead of a whole dozen.

The current protocol at our hospital (which I don't imagine will change) is one visitor but they can come and go, which is nice. Masks for everyone whenever a provider is in the room, but they said once they get a negative COVID test they'll be more lenient with the mask while pushing.

When I told my husband that he will be able to come and go, he said "GREAT, we'll be able to get take out!" Which IS true and very nice, but I thought maybe he'd come home to see our kid. 😂

he has priorities piratecat! also those donuts sounds amazing. i have no control with them either. my sil just gave birth where i will also be going and their official policy right now is to wear masks while laboring. she said that 95% of nurses docs etc were fine with having you not wear one if you tested covid negative. you can have one support person and they can come and go so there is that. i fully expect things to change by november. eta i think that the coming and going may change by november. not the laboring with masks. i’m guessing they won’t be more lenient with that at all.

When I got pregnant I really thought things would be different by the time the baby comes. It's just wild.

I’m hopeful DH will be able to leave the hospital. I think I’ve mentioned before that he is awful on little sleep and I ended up sending him home after DD was born to get a solid night of sleep.

Right now, our hospital has a strict one person/no leaving/masks on during labor regardless of COVID results policy. They did say we could do Uber Eats and have someone pick it up from the front desk for us, so that's nice!

Has anyone experienced round ligament pain this pregnancy? It just occurred to me that I haven't yet. I remember it was excruciating with DS, but I cannot remember when it happened.

They’re not testing for Covid so anyone in the building is wearing a mask. I think they’ll be flexible when I get to the point of needing to have it off. There’s not a limit on the number of people you can have but I only want MH and my doula so I’m not asking for a whole lot. They also said the same thing about ordering food in since they don’t have a cafeteria there. I assume that the support person coming and going isn’t an issue since they send us home so soon after birth.

I have to go in 3 days before my csection for a Covid test and have to quarantine until the surgery. DH will be screened when we arrive. Of course Halloween falls within my quarantine time, but thankfully I think trick or treating is not happening this year.
In other news my mother called in tears because she thinks I don’t trust her to watch DD while I’m having DS. Really I just do not want her here but I feel bad saying that directly, so I keep telling her just to hold off on booking anything because we don’t know when he will come. She lives 8 hours away so not a viable option if I go into labor on my own and I do not want to come home from a csection to hosting my mother.
