Troy David is here! 7lbs 3oz and 20" 9:10pm on 8/30/2020 at 38+5 And I successfully VBA2C with an epidural that didn't take, so it was a lot more painful than I planned on dealing with. Ended up being 24 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing. He came out sideways which is fun and explains the agonizing butt and tailbone pain during labor. I did spike a low grade fever while pushing so I needed a course of antibiotics and baby is down at the special care nursery for at least 24 hours also getting a few rounds of antibiotics, so, I'm down there to feed every three hours and pumping in between.

How you guys doing today cnf? Is it hard having him not with you? It is tough, but at least the special care nursery is pretty low key since it's not a true NICU. We can go down there as much as we want for as long as want. He'll be back with me tonight rooming in, so it hasn't been too big of deal. He needed a 24 course of antibiotics, that's it. I think if he was there for more complex reasons it'd be much harder. We're managing though. I'm doing good! Recovery is such a breeze compared to my csections. My whole upper body is SO SORE though. Like 1.5 hours of the 3 hours I pushed for I used the push bar and a sheet and holy crap, what a workout. My downstairs is pretty swollen and sore, but I only had one tiny tear with a few stitches, so it should bounce back pretty easily, lol. You getting that baby out yet?

Glad everybody's doing well today and that your recovery is going great! I just remember my mama bear hormones not wanting my girls out of my sight after I had them but I'm glad that that part's not too hard on you. No signs of baby today unfortunately. Random contractions all night but of course they stopped when I woke up.

*lurker* Congratulations!!! He is beautiful! I feel you on the pushing. I pushed for 2 hrs with DS and he was sunnyside up and it sucked. We assumed he was sunny side up, because of the agonizing ass and back labor. My nurse said she had butt labor and called it "that feeling of having a phone pole shoved up your ass". She was basically my favorite person the whole time. He came out totally side ways. They think he was sunny side up and turned at some point but never made a full spin ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
