Do we want to continue with this format or transition into more of a randoms style weekly post Part of me likes the format because it's nice to highlight specific things. But *weekly* things aren't changing very much as they get older.

Age- 2 months/9 weeks
The Good - She’s growing like a weed. She smiles so much when she first wakes up and it’s my favorite. We have had some good nights of sleep but it’s still pretty unpredictable.
The Bad -
Milestones - 2 months!
Appointments - She had her 2 month check up this morning. She’s 10lbs 13oz, 21 1/4in, 15in HC. Had 3 shots and the rotatec vaccines. She did pretty well getting the shots, only cried for a little bit. Next appt at 4 months

Age- 3 months The Good - dude slept for 7 hours straight last night! He's constantly smiling and talking to us, it's so cute. The Bad - his routine has been off since DH came home, which has been frustrating. I'm really trying to get it back on track because the new schedule he's slipping into will make DS1's school drop off/pick up a nightmare. Milestones - he's trying to roll over. Obviously can't just yet, but last night he did with some help (grabbed my finger and pulled himself over) Appointments - follow up with physio regarding his flat spot next week. To Do List - ahh nothing baby related right now. I did finally start exercising this week which has been on my list for a while now. Pic -

V just rolled over 2 times in a row! I think it might have been a fluke but still, she did it!

V is refusing to be swaddled, she just screams and arches her back. I think it’s putting pressure on her injection sites and it hurts. So I’m going to cosleep and hope she doesn’t wake up 1000 times. Poor baby.

Age - 3 months and a week Good - S/O laughing in the other thread, Ben has been belly laughing lately. We’ve been putting him in the jumperoo for a few minutes at a time and yesterday I got a great video of him ‘talking’ to me and laughing at the ceiling fan and then clasping his hands together - it was super cute. I feel like overnight he went from newborn to baby! Bad - he has his first teeny cold I think. Just sneezing more and a bit of clear snot. It makes sense since he started daycare last week and is now around a few kids outside our family. It it was truly a runny nose that daycare provider needed to wipe, he wouldn’t be allowed to go, since she’s being super careful about any illness this year - which I’m supportive of. Luckily he doesn’t seem too bothered by it. I think it may just be a result of it being super hot and humid outside here right now (which is unusual for coastal San Diego) and really cool and dry inside with the A/C cranking. Also - I despise breast pumping. But Ben is doing well with nursing and hasn’t started having an intolerance to my breast milk beyond the foods I’ve already cut out (like two of my kids did around this age), so I dragged out the double electric pump today. At least I get to do it at home instead of an office or airports this time! Milestones - no appts till 4 month in a few weeks. He’s doing well at daycare and it feels so strangely luxurious to work without a baby in my lap - what is this crazy new world where I can focus on one thing at a time for part of each weekday? To do - still get out 3-6 month clothes.

Age - 2 1/2 months
The Good - She is sleeping really well at night. Goes to sleep around 10:30, then she wakes either at 2 or 4 depending on the night.
The Bad - She is still pretty fussy most evenings.
Milestones - she is trying to deliberately Coo and “talk” to us. And she is so smiley.
Appointments - none for now
To Do List - clean up her room. People are still sending clothes and since I have been so sick, I have just been putting it on top of her wardrobe.

Age- 3 months
The Good - She’s consistently sleeping 7-8 hours for her first stretch at night. She naps pretty well during the day too as long as she is swaddled.
The Bad - I went back to work last week. It was way harder than any of the other times. I never wanted to be a SAHM before but I really do this time. I’ve been so anxious every time I go to work and she’s just at home with DH. I can’t imagine next month when she starts daycare.
Milestones - She has started giving little laughs which is adorable.
Appointments - Nothing until 4 months.
To Do List - Finish putting all my boy stuff in garbage bags to give to my SIL. I can’t wait to clear about 10 totes out of my attic!

Hi guys! Age- 2 months yesterday! The Good - he's starting to smile! He already fills in 3 months footie pajamas, I think when he is 3 months he'll be in 6 months pjs! The Bad - he still doesn't sleep more than 2 hrs at a time after his first long stretch (usually about 4-5 hrs). And I'm back to work now. 😭 I didn't want to leave him! Milestones - Appointments - his 2 month appt is next week. I'm curious about his stats! He looks huge to me. To Do List - nothing as far as baby stuff. We are moving this weekend so I've been packing & packing and I'm soooo over it. Pic (pdq) - he was all smiles a few mornings ago!

sdlaura I also am not enjoying pumping this time around. I keep doing it because the pump I'm using this time is so much more efficient than the one I had for my first son, and I get so excited when I pump 8 oz in one session! Lol. Silly reason, I know. But yeah, pumping sucks. 👎

I have a large clog in my right boob. I have a galactocele (milk cyst) on that side so it usually happens a few times while I’m nursing. Dang it hurts. I hope V can get it cleared up today.

Age - 12 weeks The Good - He's doing better at daycare and I'm kind of getting into a routine back at work. He still doesn't sleep very much during the day, so his night sleep is amazing (12 hours straight one night this week). The Bad - I hate pumping. So much. I get annoyed when I think about how long I have to do it too. Milestones - He's getting really good at grabbing things he wants and holding on to them. It's so impressive to watch him figure it all out! Appointments - 4 month one in October To Do List - I can't think of anything baby related right now. Pic -

twopeas 8 oz is incredible! I average 3.5 and have never pumped more than like 5 at a time across four kids But I always planned for him to get some formula at daycare so it’s fine.

I think B found his hands the last few days. He always has a fist a couple inches away from his face and he's staring at it all wide eyed. It's a pretty funny face. I forget how fun it is to watch them learn things and figure out their world!

I totally credit the pump. I had a medela with ds1 and I averaged about 4 oz per day, but with this spectra it is just so much more efficient. I didn't pump anything before I went back to work though and I definitely don't pump enough for him to have breastmilk bottles all day everyday, so we supplement with formula at daycare too! 🙂

I have a spectra too - but still don’t pump that much! Everyone just responds to pumping differently. I have a Medela and pumped 10.5 ozs yesterday in 20 minutes. But I also can catch 3-5 ozs with the Haakaa. Some people don't respond to pumping at all.

I drove myself nuts trying to make sure DS1 had only breast milk until after his open heart surgery at 5 months old. But with my other babies I have just tried to send some breast milk to daycare and keep up my supply enough to keep BFing when I’m with baby.

Age- 9 weeks tomorrow
The Good - We are on our way back from our first trip as a family of 5 (3 day trip) and D did so well! I was nervous how he would hang but he was perfect.
The Bad -ugh the sleep. He only eats 1 or twice throughout the night (and even that he could probably go without) but I am up constantly replacing the paci. Like, constantly hours on end. I’m planning to get rid of it soon but then like, what do you do when they wake up crying? It’s easier to pop a paci in than rock them back to sleep. Do they eventually stop waking? I am so bad at sleep. 3 for 3 over here 😕
Milestones -none
Appointments - 2 month appointment is tomorrow and I’m not looking forward to the vaccines. I’m interested to see how big he is because he’s been in 6 month clothes for a couple weeks now lol.
To Do List -vaccines. Get rid of paci probably next week.
