So here is my contribution to the N13 Medical Journal...
Today at the dermatologist, I mentioned a 'row' of small dark spots on the back of my hand. They come up kind of suddenly over the summer and I assumed I had scraped or burned my hand, but couldn't remember doing so.
Doctor took one look today and said, "have you been cooking or mixing drinks with limes this summer?" It's "Phytophotodermatitis "... there is a chemical in limes (among other things) that reacts with the sun and can cause temporary blisters, dark spots, etc. on skin. When we were up in Maine, we were drinking Coronas outside and putting lime wedges in them, and I guess lime juice got on my hand and I had a reaction. She said she typically sees them like mine--a dripping pattern--and they'll lighten and eventually disappear.
So bizarre.

My mom has requested Cadence's return. Is it bad that I've sent her away so much? She's bored at the house with mh and has so much fun at Camp Grandma. Not to mention my mom's dogs are both in a rapid health decline and I think she wants Cadence there for comfort and a distraction. So, I'm taking her back on the 29th for a week. School starts the 8th so it's really the last time she'll be able to go for a little while. I think it’s great! Bonding time for them and some quality sleep time for you. After being stuck at home since March 13, I think everyone got stir crazy. I know I did.

I think all citrus fruit can cause it. So interesting.

My allergies are killing me, all of a sudden. My ears and eyes are itchy, nose is running and my throat is sore from post nasal drip. I took a Zyrtec so hopefully I’ll feel better in the morning.
Also, pp hair shedding has commenced. I am so not looking forward to this. I’m half tempted to go get my hair chopped. Not that it’ll make the hair shedding any less, but at least they’ll be shorter strands.

klong11 I think it’s great both that grandma wants her there & that much and that she wants to go! I would do it in a heartbeat if I were in your situation! I was so close to my grandparents growing up (they lived in our town for a while then when they moved to Florida, they used to spend the summers with us. I’m so happy I had all that time with them as a kid. And sad my kids don’t have that same relationship with either set of grandparents Same. My sister and I spent so much of the summer with grandparents and we loved it.

Morning! Just dropped C at school; Now in the Krispy Kreme drive-thru to get B a donut before heading out on a couple errands. I think we’re going to swing by Target, saw on FB they have Clorox wipes so I’m hoping to grab some extra to send to school. I have a dermatologist appt late this afternoon and I’m going to convince DH we need pizza for dinner. My cousin got a job unloading trucks at Walmart. He got me a case of them! I needed them for both boys classes and couldn't find any!

klong11 not bad at all. It’s amazing she is making these memories with her grandma. Agreed.
