Just got off the phone with the principal. She took it very seriously. She suspected this teacher wasn’t enforcing the masks based on conversations prior to the summer but had no proof. She also was just as concerned about a kid not feeling well not wearing a mask and not having the parents called. She is going to be addressing the concerns on Monday and ensured me that things will be better by the time L comes back next Friday. Honestly I believe her and feel it will be ok for him to go.

I’ve had multiple conversations with L and he says he will do better at wearing his mask even if others aren’t. We will see what happens next Friday.

jewels my district added an emergency board meeting on the 20th so I’m expecting them to close. We had everything ready to go so I expect them use the HVaC as well as the reason for not opening. I’m so ready to go back, our protections were better than I saw in the ER.

Hi all. Dh has been helping a friend move most of the day. He should be home shorty. He stopped home for a bit to put some meat on the smoker for dinner tonight. I’m going to make Mac and cheese and green beans to go along with it. Yum.

The kids want to bike to get ice cream this afternoon so we’ll probably do that once L wakes up.

So I decided to hold off the miralax and try one more time. B is currently in underwear sitting on a towel watching the tablet. He's kept it dry since lunch. But I'm sending him every hour and he hasn't told me he has to go yet. Fingers crossed though that something clicks.

Waiting on the pool installer to show his face.. I'm annoyed but can't get snippy because he's literally our only option if we want it installed this year..

My parents grabbed me a push mower at a yard sale last weekend and A got it running. I used it to mow around my land scapping and now waiting on my mom to be done so I can do the rest of the yard.

I went to Michael’s for a couple items C’s school supply list requested and then hit our big outdoor mall for a baby gift and got myself some leopard print sandals (they feel fallish but FL fall appropriate, ha).

It was nice seeing fall decorations out at the craft store. We still have at least another month of summer weather on the horizon but I’m looking forward to the change of seasons in Sept/Oct when it starts feeling a bit more official.

Afternoon all.

It’s farm days in our area so we found a place with a little horseback riding for the kids and a fun mini golf course. It was a nice few hours and of course now both kids are non stop talking about their next adventure with horses, I’ll have to find a little day course for them or something.

Thanks everyone. I’m at the hospital waiting on him to get out of surgery.

After his doc called him, he had his sister on the phone and her and I were debating on what hospital to send him to for a good 15 minutes. He was just like- can we just go somewhere? I’m hurting and hungry. Thank goodness I went with my first mind.

The kids are playing at the neighbors and my ILs should be arriving at my house any minute now. I grabbed some prepared foods from Fresh Markwr for him to eat later. We always see visitors dropping off food here to their loved ones, so I’m taking that to mean the food here isn’t great. Hopefully he isn’t on a highly restrictive diet. I’ll keep y’all posted.

chrisy01 I’m glad you spoke up. I thought C was pretty good at wearing a mask but when we were out today and he was playing it would slip off his nose and he either wouldn’t notice it or fix it in a way that made it not fit right so we have more practice to do.

I had to hold myself back because he was on a playground with another boy in a mask. They were playing pirates but kept decent distance. Then all of the sudden they are wrestling and Cs mask slipped down! I broke it up and as both are making excuses of who started it I’m informing them that I don’t care who started it! We are in a pandemic and we don’t touch each other! I realize I could have handled it better but damn people! So playgrounds with even one kid are off the list for now😞 This all sucks!

Appendix is out. Surgeon said it ruptured a little by the time they got to it, but it didn’t leak a lot. There is a small chance they have to keep him longer than overnight. I’m in the room waiting for them to bring him up.

His sister talked to the surgeon too and she feels bad about not sending him sooner. I told her don’t because we were all agreed to wait until morning when he can talk to his doctor. I think we were all worried about avoiding ER costs if it was something small. Healthcare in this country can shove it. We pay $$$$ every month and still worry about the cost of seeking actual medical care because it’s going to cost us.

We had a nice day today. Went to the skatepark with the skateboard and scooter. I’m impressed with my scooter skills but crouching on a kids scooter was not fun. Then we got a late lunch at a clam shack on the beach and walked on the rocks along the water and played catch. C had a little skirmish on the playground (see above) but an otherwise successful outing. I doubt we will be hungry for dinner so it’s one less thing to do tonight.

Oh and one of my close friends from work finally got engaged today! They have been together five years and it’s been a long awaited progression. I’m so happy for her! Since there likely won’t be an engagement party, what would you send as a gift? It might be me solo or going in with two others.

No I guess some have it and some have found work arounds. I honestly think this just gave them the out to not open. I think they were worried and when the rules changed here they decided to just go all virtual.

wedding not sure what you’re looking for, but I’ve gotten friends nice wedding journals to keep track of the plans and a wedding march musical box, but you could also do nice champagne glasses (with their engagement date on it) and a bottle of bubbles?

Morning. I’m disappointed, it was supposed to cool down this weekend and it did on Friday evening for a bit, but temps started to rise again yesterday. I had the worst charley horses last night, woke up crying from it 😳. Combined with back and pelvic pain, tons of stress and sadness, this all makes me one very happy pregnant lady, sorry h 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Ready for this week to be over, hoping next week will be better!

DH is out prepping an area for sod in the front yard (where the giant palm came out—no kidding when I say it was giant). After he does that we’re going to go over to my parents’ and take care of a few yard things.
