I wish, no fans allowed, apparently they blow the virus around. I do have the hand held one that you can also spray water at yourself with from Disney world. Same here, no cooling appliances allowed in schools and offices. Luckily both dh’s school and mind have been checked last week & they both use an air circulation system (not the same as A/C) with outside air as opposed to inside air, so at least that is safe. |

I don’t think it said a proper hello today! First of all thanks for the hair pats yesterday, much appreciated, I feel a lot better today. Thunderstorms are heading out way, so the heat is suppose to break tonight 🥳.
I took ds in to a beautiful toy store as soon as it opened because he wanted to pick something out for the baby, which I though was adorable. Off course he picked out a wooden animal, a small bear, it’ll look sweet in the nursery.
Dh and I had a stupid spat about a family bbq tomorrow because FIL is turning 65, both of us don’t feel comfortable going, both of us know it is going to hunt us if we don’t go. So we talked to his mom, told her our concerns, figured out a plan we could live with and then his mom did a 180 an hour later... To which I told Dh we wouldn’t be going with that set up 🙄. Cue lots of arguments in front of the kids, which we normally try to avoid. Long story short, we kissed and made up and decided to stick to our guns.

vino We have the Emerson sensi touch thermostat. No complaints here, but I did have to have a new five wire run from the unit to the thermostat. My house only had a 4 wire. My furnace guy that came this winter said the NEST is one of the ones that you don’t have to have that 5th wire, so you may need to check how many wires you have run to your current one and what is needed for the new one.

I got DH one when it was super hot one week and he said it really helps. I got his at ace but you can get them pretty much anywhere. This. There's also the ones withe the gel beads you can put around your neck. |

Kids had one friend over...then 2 more joined..then another. So there are now 6 children playing hide-and-seek in my house.
Confession 1: I'm out on the back porch with a glass of wine (is that irresponsible?)
Confession 2: two of the kids are identical (or nearly) twins, and I cannot for the life of me tell them apart. So I just call them "honey" and "sweetie" interchangeably.
DH has a watch shift from 3-midnight so I think I'm just going to get CFA drive-thru for dinner and call it good.

I’ve been the laziest today. I’ve been losing my motivation to workout, so switched to a quick 20 minute one this morning to say I did something. I have 4 loads of laundry I need to fold but I don’t want to. L is napping again and I’m laying in bed and just dozed off for a few minutes. Big kids are watching a movie in their fort downstairs... I told Dh I will probably be drinking a decent amount of wine tonight. Lol.

flamingo My step brothers are twins. It took me way longer than it should have to figure out which was which and they're fraternal. They look nothing alike as they've gotten older, but I swear, when my mom married my step dad and they were 7, they looked so much more alike!

This is new to you?" I've also been annoyed at some posts about suicide deaths in teens being higher than Covid death rates for them. Of course? We know because they're generally healthy, statistically when a teen dies it's usually due to accidents or suicide. Teen suicide rates have been on the rise for a decade so why are you suddenly concerned now? I don't even get the point of it. Yes, the pandemic has effects outside of actual deaths from the virus, I feel like this has been covered a lot and I've seen a lot about mental health impacts of it as well so it's not like it's being swept under the rug. Re: conspiracy theories. There's a funny video called "The truth about masks" in which a guy cuts into a blue surgical mask and pulls out a computer chip, but he keeps going and pulls out all sorts of crap--a Nokia, a drill, a back-scratcher. Of course it's a joke aimed at the conspiracy theorists. My friend's mom who is deep in the far right crazy-ville theories sent her the video as a warning and to prove her wrong about masks.  Apparently she stopped watching it after the first 30 seconds. |

I'm laughing flamingo. There are some twin boys in our social circle. Fraternal. Don't look much alike at all. Maddie told me she has a crush on one but doesn't know which one. Just yesterday I went on the mom's FB page yesterday and tried to commit who each one is to memory. I'm not the best with faces. I had a job in college that involved taking IDs for security when people entered the building and I always had to ask them their name when leaving because I couldn't even figure out if I was giving the correct license back with them right in front of me. |

The boys got haircuts yesterday and the barber cut off way too much of M2’s hair. I was not ready and when he got home I told him to go back and get the rest of his hair. Lol.
His new teacher sent home their weekly letter on Friday and I didn’t see it until Sunday because Mh picked him up. She asked us to make an about me poster. It’s Thursday and we are just getting to it. Sorry teacher but 3yo homework (aka parent’s work) will be done on my time. 🤷🏽♀️

Not all of them change to being super skanky though. There's all sorts of different hidden costumes. I just find it funny that this is a big reveal now that LOLs are going down in popularity and seem to be one foot out the door. Some of my Barbies from the 80s had lingerie. Not saying it's a good thing, but it's not a new thing. |

trtlcrzy and inthekitty YES to the LOL dolls. Like my gosh people...why are you just now worried about something my kid has been obsessed with for years. We have probably 100 of those damn dolls. Someone is always going to find a way to sexualize girls, regardless that its a doll. I rolled my eyes. I unfriended one of our neighbors who is good friends with h today. He was going off about not doing mail in voting and said something about 'fucking ass liberals' to end it and i was done. Im going to start unfriending every asshole who can't not make everything political.
