I'm sure it's my laptop screen because it's so bright...those colors look kind of gray to me? We had our deck stained earlier this summer. I wanted dark, we ended up kind of middle/darkish, which I love and it looks great. Our neighbor was over when we picked the color out and she said it was a lot darker than she originally thought it would be, but it looks nice. The thing I did learn, that shit gets HOT in the sun. I can't walk on it at times and I feel bad when I have to let the dogs run across it to go outside. Must be the screens because mine looks more brown. I will for sure get samples of several colors before I make a decision but I'm not really wanting grey.

Depends on the color of the other furniture in the room. Could be my monitor, but those colors looked a little dull to me. I liked the Kona better out of the two of them. I'm more partial to colors with a tinge of brightness/reddish tones. I liked the Vintage Walnut and Cinnamon Stick.

I wondered why you were talking about Plano, TX. Like, that's not where you live!

I like the walnut tones tgrimes. Agree with getting samples to compare with existing floors/furniture.

I have some bookcases in there that are black, but they can be moved. I'm wanting to go a little darker so it won't be the same color as our wood floor. Although I could always find a rug to put under it. Dammit!

#liveblog The palm is down!
It already looks so. Much. Better. I think the previous owners just planted what they liked but there was really no rhyme or reason.

You’ll still have to sand on the front end but I’m not sure about sanding in between coats like you would with paint.

Kona is my color! I stained my steps that color and use it on alot of things. It's a great rich color without being to dark. Here's my steps. Ignore the dust...

We are looking at getting a smart thermostat for the house. Anyone have one that they love? We're looking at the Nest, ecobee and a couple others i think. Thoughts?

inthekitty I think I remember you telling us about crazy-dog-lady? Or maybe that was another looney-toon coworker. Either way, thanks but no thanks! I’m also laughing about moving with 9 Rottweilers...I picture “Snot” from Christmas Vacation...x9 😂

I’m also laughing about moving with 9 Rottweilers...I picture “Snot” from Christmas Vacation...x9 😂 Yes! The one and only Crazy Dog Lady! And my co-irker wants her back! No no no no no no no. She's a crazy dog show person so her plethora of rotties is very much dollar bills in her eyes rather than affection for all of them. She basically took maternity leave when her dog had puppies. She conned one of our admin guys into building her a dog run at her house. She was constantly broke despite having a six-figure salary with a household of 1. She moved from CA to TX to OK to WA to GA back to OK then to TX again. Maybe in AK now. She's never content so even if she weren't crazy and a hard worker, why bring her back when she'd get bored in less than 2 years and take off somewhere else? ETA: Because this is important, she was also in NY at one point of her crazy, manic moves. Representation of all corners of the US.

vino we have the ecobee. I don’t have anything bad to say. I like that we can program it and have the app to adjust temp before we get home if we are gone for the weekend. Not sure how it compares to others.

Well I may have already screwed myself with the sttn comment. Ls been napping for well over 2 hours which is not normal. So now I just hope he’s not getting sick. Maybe a growth spurt? Regardless, I’m sorry universe. I take back what I said!

Morning!
I had work this morning. I’m heading to see the department of another heart clinic. Got a text last week asking if I would interested in helping them. I tried to tell the guy my schedule if full and politely decline, but he was insistent it wasn’t going to be a lot and he wanted me to come check their dept out. So I’m here. I don’t even know how he got my number.
Picking up M after and we’re heading home to a quiet afternoon. It’s wet here, but we need the rain so I’m not complaining.

I had a nice dinner with my friends last night. Today we are supposed to go to lunch with DS’s best friend because my DS turns 13 tomorrow! I can’t believe I’ll have a teenager. Had a work call this morning. Teachers now have to wear masks and shields all day. I was all in on going back but no AC and masks and shields makes me more afraid of dying of heat stroke than corona. Buy yourself this. We use them in our tractors on hot bailing days. They're a life saver. smile.amazon.com/dp/B086XFM7JQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_btf_t1_XqvnFbZQRG4BMI wish, no fans allowed, apparently they blow the virus around. I do have the hand held one that you can also spray water at yourself with from Disney world.

I have ecobee because I was able to buy it through my electric company for $20. I have no complaints, I didn’t look into anything else because I wasn’t going to beat that price.

I got DH one when it was super hot one week and he said it really helps. I got his at ace but you can get them pretty much anywhere.
