Good luck to M lahdeedah. I hope it goes smoothly and he gets to enjoy popsicles afterward. I'm curious, are the teeth loose at all or showing no signs of budging? nam2013 I'm sorry you're feeling down. The heat can definitely get to you after a while amongst everything else like being pregnant during a pandemic. Do you have any window units for air circulation? We have one in our bedroom and it definitely helps when the heat gets oppressive. They were just a slightly wiggly. He lost his 4 bottom ones before we even moved here and only the middle two came in. Dentist said the other two just have no where to come in because of how big they are, so these two were just to give them room to come in. With these two pulled he has 9 baby teeth gone. 😫

It went well. They came out and said he was the perfect patient. They basically gave him nitrous oxides, put numbing gel on his gums for the numbing shots, pulled them, and let him sit with oxygen for five minutes before they brought him out. He said his mouth hurt when he got in the car, so I gave him Tylenol when we got home and he said with his gauze In while watching a movie.
He can’t have chips, pretzels, or popcorn for three days. He lives off of these snacks, so it will be a rough three days. I just got back from picking up all the soft stuff for him to snack on and grabbed him chick Fula a with a milkshake. Came home to him sleeping. Hope he wakes up refreshed.

cagoldi Emilio Reggio is great inspiration, you can also look into some Montessori and Waldorf/Steiner elements. The last one is out current school system and although not a forrest school, a lot a lot of outdoor time and attention for nature based learning. And yes please show me the website! I would love to take a look .

cagoldi TTMA about the outdoor daycare, I want to know everything! Whew, so much work. We’re looking for a lead teacher right now. Putting the finishing touches on the website and getting our liability insurance established. It’s weird because CA doesn’t formally recognize forest schools (yet), so they operate outside of licensing requirements. Basically, CA likes the pretend they don’t exist. We still have our parent handbook, safety procedures, health procedures, etc. of course. If we can make it work with our schedule, Tim and I might attend the training for Forest Kindergarten teachers next summer. We will have a few sites at local regional parks and do all the usual stuff, literacy, manipulatives and math, but greater emphasis on emergent curriculum and free play, plus the environment as the “third teacher.” So it’s very much Reggio inspired. I’ll link you to webpage once we finalize it. Tell me if I missed anything, there’s a lot to cover. We have one here in the next town over that everybody just raves about it. I’d be happy to send you the information if you need another model to look at.

It's going in what should be our formal dining room but has been turned into the kids play area...along with the formal living room. I can't remember the exact color of our walls, but they're a light grey. MH doesn't want it to be a dark grey (not sure why he cares since he's color blind) so I've settled on a dark blue. Which shade of blue is the question.
If I use chalk paint, I'm thinking the Behr Timeless Blue. www.behr.com/consumer/products/decorative-finishes/chalk If I use the paint/primer in one, I'm thinking either the Compass blue, Inked, or English Channel. www.behr.com/consumer/colors/paint/explore/marquee/marquee2019collection/blue/0

So far we are working with a program in LA, SF, and Portland, but I like to get a variety of ideas.

My neighbor got a blue piano off FB marketplace a few weeks ago. I think it’s more navy, but not too dark. I like it!

Can’t wait to see the website.
