Morning. We went for an early dip in the lake again. People are still insane in my book, why would you put your towel 3ft away from me when there’s more then enough space?!? We left right after because apparently the crazy crowds started to come...

For now it looks like my parents and sister will be able to enter norway, the new travel restrictions start Saturday. I’m so happy for them. Doesn’t take away from the fact that I’m sad I probably won’t see my sister this year. Which will be weird, especially after the baby is born, after my parents my sisters were always the first to meet the new baby.

Nothing on my agenda today. Evie left already this morning, she's going to my dad and step moms to swim and will be home tomorrow afternoon. I guess I should get a grocery pick up today but otherwise, it will be (hopefully) quiet.

I'm really missing my kid, but I asked her over text yesterday if she missed us yet and she said no, then sent a bunch of laughing emojis.

Morning! I’m off today. Currently at the dentist waiting for M. He is getting two bottom teeth pulled to make way for his other two bottom teeth to come in. I am more nervous than him. They told me how they do it and he won’t feel anything but I’m still nervous. I went back with my younger cousin years ago to get her teeth pulled and the screams I heard from her as they pulled her teeth left me horrified. It’s why I got put to sleep to take my four wisdom teeth out back in my 20s.

I have to workout and a few errands on my list today. Nothing exciting.

I’m so looking forward to a time werd you can just have a day off feeling a little off and not feeling paranoid. I’m mean I’m six months pregnant, I’m sad, I slept two hours, it is 93f without airco, rationally I can explain it... I’m sooooo over everything. Rant over .

@lahdeehdah I had four molars pulled when I was 11 (or something). I asked when if she would tell me when she would start pulling, it was already done. Anecdotal off course, but fingers crossed M’s experience is like mine!

Good morning. Waiting in the parking lot at the orthodontist for DS1. Going to outdoor dine at a Cuban Restaurant with my 2 friends tonight so I have something fun to look forward to.

I hope all goes well for M today lahdeedah! I can understand why you are a ball of nerves. I’m sure he won’t feel it but it’s the anxiety leading up to it and the being totally aware of what’s going on while it’s happening.
I had teeth pulled as a teenager and I swear I didn’t feel the pulling part, just the novocaine needle.

I’m here not doing much just my wfh routine.
My SIL’s furniture is being delivered early next week so now we have an end date to how long they will be staying w us. Although they’ve been great houseguests.

nam2013 I'm sorry you're feeling down. The heat can definitely get to you after a while amongst everything else like being pregnant during a pandemic. Do you have any window units for air circulation? We have one in our bedroom and it definitely helps when the heat gets oppressive.

inthekitty no we don’t. It hasn’t been this hot for this long since 1901. I know I’ll feel a lot better I a few days when the heat breaks, today I’m just having a very ‘woo is me day’. This wasn’t really how I was planning my last pregnancy 😂😂😂. I’m allowed myself to wallow a bit today and will get a grip again tomorrow .

I'm bummed for my kids they won't be going to my mom's this summer. They usually go for a week. I miss them, but they have a great time. My mom is still being super weird about social distancing (still does in-home daycare but worries we'll infect her ). From what she was saying the other day it sounds like she's too paranoid to have us down for Christmas "unless something changes." I thought what do you expect to change? There will be no vaccine by then and that's the only thing that will make a major change.

I get it nam2013 . When I was pregnant with M I left the PNW which was having an unseasonal cool period, for the south where I got reassigned for my job. It so happened they were having more heat than usual and I wanted to die to suddenly jump 45 degrees. At my first OB appt in the south the nurse said something snarky like "why would you be pregnant during the summer?" It was such a stupid remark I wanted to TP her.

Morning. MIL just picked up the girls for the morning. I’m nursing V and then have to get ready to leave for the chiro.

Sorry nam2013, this was definitely not the way I saw my last pregnancy/ newborn time going either. It’s ok to grieve that. I hope the heat breaks for you soon, because I almost died when my ac was out for a few days when it was 90 so I can feel ya.

I'm not sure about pain but you can tell it bothers him. He says it itches.

lahdeedah I still remember M screaming when she got her tooth pulled. I had to lay on top of her to hold her down. Not delightful at all.

I hope your M has a painless procedure and it's over quickly.

I get you. Moving down here and then going up to Maine, my allergies have flared. Logically I *know* what it is and I can take a loratadine and feel better, but there's still that little whisper, "Is this Covid???"

We also had a dentist visit this morning--just a cleaning/check-up for B. One of the spots we've been watching for over a year b/n 2 back teeth has turned into a cavity so we have to go back to have that filled. He's had one filled in the same spot on the other side. So now I feel guilty and yes, I'm a terrible mom, Hygienist...with everything else going on this spring I took my foot off the flossing - gas pedal. Sigh.

We have a pool reservation today at 1, and then my cousin and my sister/BIL/nephew are coming over to grill out tonight. Which reminds me, I need to get up and do some prep.

Whew, so much work.

We’re looking for a lead teacher right now. Putting the finishing touches on the website and getting our liability insurance established.

It’s weird because CA doesn’t formally recognize forest schools (yet), so they operate outside of licensing requirements. Basically, CA likes the pretend they don’t exist. We still have our parent handbook, safety procedures, health procedures, etc. of course. If we can make it work with our schedule, Tim and I might attend the training for Forest Kindergarten teachers next summer.

We will have a few sites at local regional parks and do all the usual stuff, literacy, manipulatives and math, but greater emphasis on emergent curriculum and free play, plus the environment as the “third teacher.” So it’s very much Reggio inspired.

I’ll link you to webpage once we finalize it. Tell me if I missed anything, there’s a lot to cover.
