GL w your ventures flamingo! MH wants to tear out carpet himself and lay hardwood in our formal LR. I’m kind of worried about that.... Haha. Yes stuff that’s in more public areas of the house makes me more nervous. DH is pretty handy and as a college student worked construction in the summers so he knows some basics. We’ve talked about taking on bigger projects like tiling or flooring but definitely need to work up to it!

I just bought a ton of stuff at the Disney Store. I'm not doing school supplies as usual this year because of obvious reasons, but they had they cute kits on sale with all the basics--pencils, colored pencils markers, etc in a zip-up pouch. I thought those will be perfect for them to grab each morning for DL then put it all away when they're done.
I got some stuff that I'll put back for birthday gifts. But I'm the worst. Two of MH's Christmas gifts arrived yesterday and it's all I can do to not give them to him now.

Random question, probably best for the youth (aka peachsmama): did any of you ever have those Heely shoes with the pop-out wheel in the heel? Those were beyond my time so I have no experience with them. I was thinking of getting them for the girls for Christmas. I saw they sell the traditional with 1 wheel in the back but now they also sell ones with a wheel in the front too. I'd imagine it'd be more like skating then gliding. Not sure if just the 2 tandem wheels would be steady enough. Wondering if any of you have experience and if you'd recommend 1 or 2 wheels.

Hi! I got some housework done this morning, then DH got home around 11 so we took the kids out to lunch and Home Depot. All the bathrooms in our house are a mix of finishes so we’re trying to update/coordinate it all. We got new fixtures for the kids bath to start. We also got a new toilet for the guest bath (you know when you start researching toilets you’re #officiallyanadultnow) All our toilets are off-white/ivory so we’re going to experiment on this one and begin the conversion process to all plain white. I figure if we screw up, we call a plumber to save us from ourselves. Youtube. No Matter what you're trying to do, a professional electrician/plumber/carpenter has made a youtube video telling you how. That's how A teacher himself anything he wants to do around the house.

I’ve contemplated getting them for C before but decided he doesn’t need another thing to make him faster or crazier😀. I did put some on before and they were a lot of fun.

nam2013 today at Camp Grandma she learned how to use a sewing machine and apparently loves it. Great Grandpa built them a cornhole board and they sewed their own bean bags to toss. (Cornhole is a slanted board with a hole in it and you try to toss the beanbags through the hole).

MH told me yesterday he wouldn’t be upset if we had another kid. Now I have to figure out where he’s been keeping the crack he must be smoking.
