I'm on a hormonal BC pill and have been for like 20 years. My period comes like clockwork.
Last month I screwed up my pills and skipped 2 days. I wound up taking 3 in one day, it was also the end of my pack. I didn't really get a period, just light spotting. I figured it was because of the pills but I took a pregnancy test to be sure. It was negative.
This month I took my pills perfectly. The last one was last Saturday. I should have gotten my period Wednesday. (Like I said, clockwork). It hasn't shown up yet. I just took another negative test.
What gives? Should I start my next pack of pills tomorrow?
Yes I will call my doctor if this doesn't resolve itself in the next few days. And yes I'll probably pee on more things in the meantime.

Your body is probably just out of whack and needs to reset.
Otherwise, congrats on the baby.

The ones you missed you said end of pack, were they placebo? If so, it doesn't matter if they were skipped or taken.
On the other hand, I think even with hormonal BC our bodies can change. I am on nuvaring which is hormonal and I do not get my period same time/same day. I used to, way before DD like 10 years ago.
And I think the directions/warnings say it's not unheard of to skip a period and also have break through bleeding?
But def call your doc if concerned.

How long have you been on the HBC? With mine, the first few months was like clockwork but then I quit getting my period after a while. I remember calling my Dr and he was like ummm that's the goal here. FWIW, no ovulation means no need to shed the lining so it could just be your body realizing there's no need. Normally when on hbc, the bleeding is actually from the withdrawal of the extra hormones in your pills.

Meh, just start the next pack. Tripling up probably wasn't the best solution the prior month.

Taking that many pills at a shot is effectively taking plan B. I agree your body is just adjusting.

Your period can change at a certain age, even on hormonal BC. Not saying menopause! But peri-menopause is a real thing. My periods started getting out of whack around 38, and they were always extremely regular my entire life no matter what BC I was on. Not wildly crazy, but a few days off here and there.

Meh, just start the next pack. Tripling up probably wasn't the best solution the prior month. I panicked! No. It was probably not Lol. If it happens again, take the 1st missed pill as soon as you remember, then the 2nd missed pill about 12 hrs later. Then take your third pill 12 hrs later and resume one pill a day. You can catch up one or two missed days but not more. It also does happen that you don’t get a withdrawal bleed despite years of always getting one. Bodies are weird. Good luck!

So I do this fairly often because I forget to take my pill (I'm not currently having sex with anyone so I guess the urgent need isn't there in my mind right now)
Anyways, it does take a while to get back into your cycle. The main thing I've noticed during the aftermath is that I will have light bleeding if I have any variation off my pill schedule. Like I usually take it around 4 but if I forget it & take it later that night I've usually had some light spotting.
It's like that next pack of pills is barely holding my period off & the second I don't keep the pill cycle it's ready to flow....if that makes sense lol

I would just start your next pack on the day you are supposed to. I would probably call my doctor just to be sure though. You aren't supposed to miss a period on BC if you take it correctly so I'd like confirmation that it was because if missing pills the month before
