I can’t remember anything about Meghan getting her ring cut off. It's all speculation at this point.

Blind gossip really hates Meghan, as per this blind item. However, if any of it true, I’m not sure if I’m impressed or embarrassed by the hustle. blindgossip.com/three-moves/ The cringe.

Prince Harry's childhood friend 'frozen out' after urging 'caution' over Meghan According to new book Finding Freedom, Prince Harry fell out with childhood friend Tom Inskip after he advised the Duke to take things slow with former actress Meghan Markle According to Finding Freedom, Tom “Skippy” Inskip told the Duke of Sussex to be cautious over his then-blossoming relationship with Meghan. The pair began their relationship after a blind date in July 2016 and the book claims Mr Inskip told the new couple to live together before “doing anything more serious”. Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand write that although Mr Inskip’s advice “came from a good place”, the Duke “didn’t totally see it that way”. A source close to the Sussexes said in the book, which will be published on Tuesday: “It really hurt him that someone he was so close to would not trust his judgment.” It has previously been reported that Mr Inskip and Lara Hughes-Young, his wife, were excluded from the Sussexes’ evening wedding party at Frogmore House in May 2018, thought to be as a result of the falling-out. Mr Inskip, dubbed the Duke's "party wingman", was one of the friends at the infamous Las Vegas night in 2012, where the royal was caught playing naked billiards with women in a hotel suite. He was also with the Prince when he was seen inhaling laughing gas at another party, reports The Sunday Telegraph. www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/prince-harrys-childhood-friend-frozen-22491995

I’m sure I’m going to get yelled at for this, but are we really at a level of WK that we can’t say Meghan redesigned her ring? Who is saying that?

The story at the time of the engagement was how nice it was that Harry designed the ring for her. And then it was redesigned a year later? I'm sure she had to gush over it at the engagement, but if she felt it needed to be blingy-er, why not redesign for the wedding when there was going to be a ring added anyway? And she got the eternity band, so why the need to bling out the engagement ring too? It's not like she has a job that requires low-profile jewelry. I know from experience that a simple gold band is relatively easy to fix if it has been damaged or cut off. Redesigning the band would not have been necessary if it had been cut off. Because she wanted to? Geez.

willow sorry about losing an original stone to your great grandmothers ring! 😢 I received one of my grandmother’s rings that after 13 years I still haven’t done anything with. It has a large gold band and about 1 carat marquise diamond. The ring is ugly to me but I remember my gram wearing it all the time hence the indecision to redesign it.

I’m sure I’m going to get yelled at for this, but are we really at a level of WK that we can’t say Meghan redesigned her ring? I said she redesigned the band. I don’t think she did it because she is some diva that wanted a flashier ring. My sister picked out her own ring and band I don’t think it’s unheard of and if It was cut off and they had the opportunity to add a band she likes 🤷♀️ I would say the same thing for Kate and anyone else

Everyone is acting as though she took Diana’s diamonds and the one he picked out for her and threw them away to get a better ring. The diamonds are what he spent time picking out

He spent time on the whole ring design - in the interview, he said that he chose yellow gold because it was her favorite (and she did/does wear more delicate y/g pieces). I actually thought the original suited her more, classic, elegant, and timeless. I preferred it to Kate's. The Lorraine Schwartz design looks like something you can get at Jared tbh. Like I said, based on my professional experience working with literally hundreds of couples who got engaged, the relatively quick redesign was always an awkward situation. One that I headed off by picking my own ring and band.
I'm comfortable sitting alone on this bench.

I have a probably genuine UO that if you're going to get offended by someone redesigning a ring you got them, then you should've asked them for their opinion in the first place.
That said, we never did an engagement ring, I picked out my own band, lost it, and haven't worn any ring for 4 years now. And DH and I got engaged after 9 years by being like, "I guess we could get married..." So factor all that in, lol.

We were poor college kids when we got engaged so my e ring is an upcycled old coin that he bought off Etsy. And we each bought our own wedding bands. So maybe my ring perspective is atypical.

I preferred the original because I don’t like bling bands. But I don’t have an engagement ring or a wedding ring so my opinion is purely based on visual preference alone.

I designed my own rings and he did with his own too. That shit is to expensive to be making guesses. IMO.

My xh and I picked out my e-ring together because we both wanted me to like it. It wasn't crazy expensive or anything but I loved that ring. Also on iced teas bench that I wouldn't have noticed if not pointed out. It's the band not the setting. But I'm documented as very who caresssssss about the shit people nitpick about mm If SO and I ever decide to get married I'll give him ideas. I'm the one who has to wear it.

I liked Meghan’s ring 1000x more before, but who cares. She’s the one wearing it.
I have a very eclectic mix of a mall purchased white gold band, a 70s yellow gold snake and diamond engagement ring, a diamond and yellow gold band and a trio band of yellow, white and rose gold. I prefer mixed metals of matchy matchy.

My H insisted we go look at rings together because he wanted to know exactly what I wanted. It was fine with me. DNW to get an engagement ring didn’t like. It’s so much pressure on the guy to pick the perfect ring. I still love my ring, but I would probably pick something different if I had it to do over.

I feel like "redesign" is an exaggeration even if it's technically true. All she did was change the band. I was expecting to click the link and find a totally different ring lol Me too. I can barely tell the difference but for the super thin band vs the normal thickness. Beautiful either way.

The worst were the people who were pushing for rings way, way, way outside of the budget, with one woman screaming at her soon to be fiancé "JUST GET AN EQUITY LINE OF CREDIT" In her experience of over 30 years doing this there was only one occasion that stood out where the quick redesign wasn't awkward/ridiculous.
