How old is/was your oldest when you started letting her walk on the treadmill? We don’t do a lot of sports teams or other things that I did growing up, so I worry about whether my kids are active enough. We go on a lot of family bike rides and walks, but both kids hate being outside when it is too hot and gets really irritable. She'll be 5 in November, so she's young. I'd say it's been like this past year maybe at most? The longest she's ever stayed on is like ten minutes and she holds the rails the whole time with me standing right next to it. Aww. That’s so cute! I’m jealous of everyone with treadmills. I have no place for one in my Brooklyn apartment, but I bet DD (almost 5) would love walking on one. She loves running and I take her to the track with me sometimes.

Chest and back today and a 30 minute ride with Sam. I’ve never taken one of his classes before and really enjoyed him. Food is terrible today, I just gave up and had homemade pizza and a White Claw. I love Sam. He just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy like I want to hug him. He's adorable.

I tried a thing today and did a 30 minute slow flow with Ross out on my deck at lunch today. Pros: it was nice to be on the mat on a hard surface instead of the rug inside, it was nice to feel a breeze outside and the sun on my face. Cons: it was hot as balls under the midday sun, our deck is next to a high-traffic path so I felt a little self-conscious.
After work I did Tunde's live pop ride and there was an unexpected four minute arms section near the end, so I think I got a pretty well-rounded workout today.

Could you fit a fold up style one anywhere? I'd be so lost without my treadmill. Twice now we've gone an extended period of time with it not functional for some reason or another and it was sad, sad, sadness for me.

Easy 5k and foam rolling today B- Dave's bagel w/cc, coffee L- homemade chicken, veggie, rice soup D- steak with grilled potatoes and green beans S- banana, apple, cashews CurlieWhirlie you've inspired me to try yoga on my deck. It faces our street and is raised above the sidewalk so not much privacy, but that just sounds really nice.

What do people recommend for putting some sort of protein in my coffee? I drink it now with half a cup of whole milk, so I'm looking to keep it about the same calories and creaminess but hoping to up the protein. Any suggestions? Fairlife chocolate milk or one of their brand protein drink in vanilla/chocolate. I know a lot of people use Premier Protein shakes in their coffee for a protein boost.

This week was going well. I've been tracking and hitting my macros plus being active with the kids every day. Then I needed some alone time tonight so I stayed up late watching Netflix and ate cookie dough. Tomorrow is another day.

MH installed a fan on the wall above the peloton. There is a remote and I’m just so excited about such a small thing.

I got up way too early today, but I’ve meditated and done a pretty decent job foam rolling. Haven’t done physical therapy yet.

I broke my streak yesterday and I am sad. My knee/leg is hurting again; was aching so bad this morning. Going to the beach for 4 days starting tomorrow; think I am going to take a break, let my leg rest and come back strong next week.
Food is up in the air today. I need to start tracking again because I am not eating enough and am def not eating the right foods.
Work has been tough and i am in a funk all around between work and working out. I am looking forward to a few days of just turning everything off.

My Fitbit died mid-run this morning. It started fine. I felt it pause and restart at a stop light. Didn’t check it for the rest of my run and went to hit done at the end and the screen was blank. Plugged it into the charger and nothing. Womp. Womp. That was my last Fitbit. I’m going to upgrade to an Apple Watch.

I was an avid fitbit user, and I LOVE my Apple Watch so so much after being unsure about it.

20 minutes of yoga today - weird schedule with taking kids to the doctor (annual check ups, everyone is fine!) but I should be able to walk later, too.

Taking a break is a great thing RunsforWineandCarbs, but I know it's hard to break a streak. I hope your leg/knee feels better soon.

Happy Friday! I am checking in while I take a break from painting. I got the itch to redo DS's room and I am painting mountains and pine trees on his walls and changing decor over to a camping theme. He's super excited and I can't wait to see it all pulled together. It is a good arm workout too because these mountains are large and across and entire wall!
Anyway, today was upper body day, my favorite. I did some great foam rolling too and plan on getting a walk in later. Have a great weekend everyone!

I’m trying to decide if I do a live ride for my 200th tonight or have pizza with the fam. I can’t do both and I’m torn.

RunsforWineandCarbs enjoy your beach break and leg rest. I did workout 4 today of the 100 MM. wasn’t my favorite but I was dripping sweat off my chin during the mat work portion so I guess it was good for me even if it wasn’t that enjoyable. Glad it’s over. I’m sore from the week and am concerned about flare up so I think I will take one weekend day off for rest and do a semi gentle yoga on the other day then pick up the MM again on Monday. See how I feel. What are people’s water goals? I’ve been doing no less than 64 oz and feels ok but wasn’t sure if I should increase now that I’m back to actively working out a bit vs just having that amount in a regular day. Hope that makes sense. Had my protein shake but I think I want yogurt now instead of waiting. Sometimes I find water helps fill me up but other times it feels weird sitting in my stomach and makes me need food in there with it. Idk.

For some reason I decided it would be a good idea to stay up until 330am. It was not. My oldest had school packet pick up/meet the teacher this morning so we went by Dunkin afterwards. I'm considering it a major win that I turned down a donut and went for an egg and cheese wake up wrap instead. I'm so drained from being home with 3 kids by this point in the week but I really need to move my body at some point today.

Last night's walk/run was terrible. I had fallen asleep on the couch watching Muppets with my girls and was super discombobulated when I woke up. I still went out with the dumb dog and we did 2 miles; but it sucked. I think today will be an active recovery day - maybe one mile with the dog tonight and a short yoga video.
B: Coffee w coconut milk, roasted potatoes, fried egg AM snack: cowtail candies again (gotta stop buying these - but I'm addicted!) L: Big ass salad with grilled chicken patty D: slow cooker pineapple teriyaki chicken - if I can get it to shred, I might make it into a wrap using a crepini egg wrap

No, I signed up to do covid swabbing from 7-12 tomorrow and then MH has a haircut at 1. I have regrets. I think I'll do a bootcamp and barre at lunch and play the rest by ear.

Might need more if you’re thirsty or it’s hot where you live. Don’t fill up on water when you’re hungry. Eat something that will satisfy you. Protein shakes are not required when working out. Personally, they’re not filling for me at all and I don’t love the taste (if you like it, I love that journey for you). If you’re hungry, try actual food afterwards instead!

Enjoy your beach break RunsforWineandCarbs. Hopefully it'll help you shake your funk. canteverremember my daily minimum for water is 80oz. Some days I have to work to hit it, other days I easily crush 100oz. I find when I keep good track of my intake (I log mine through Garmin connect) I do a lot better staying on top of it.

DD2 had OT this morning and H is "working from home" so we had a long morning. I just did Becs' 20 minute pelothon run and two 5 minute stretches while he did lunch with the girls. I'm going to power through until Tuesday then I seriously have to admit defeat and tap out of running. Physically, fitness wise, I feel like I'm barely doing anything, I'm still plenty fit enough. But damn if the 35lbs watermelon sinking into my pelvis doesn't make my legs feel beat to hell after only 2 miles. It's frustrating, but it is what it is.
