I just left my septic engineer's office and i could really, REALLY use a screamnasium right now. Between the drive there (trump flags, signs, etc everyfuckingwhere) and the timeline I received for when I'll actually be able to get the damn system installed, I'm feeling ragey. I cracked open a big can of wine instead. I'm going to own this house for eternity. Maybe the house will have a new septic system when my grandchildren are born. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201013/ae571c40f5f01d14d6b6ec4926d2ba6b.gif)

Also our donkey farrier came out today for the last time and he choked up when leaving and it made me all sad. I am a basketcase of emotions.

Some dude was flying a giant trump flag off the back of his giant truck at the gymnastics place yesterday. I had some FEELINGS about that. But it was just the preschool class that I do with S while the older two are at the team practice. There are some moms in the lobby with younger kids sometimes that threated to beat their butt or otherwise just yell at them or threated crap and don't ever really actually engage with them that it makes me sad. Often. But we love the team coaches and program. And D learned to yell out "last one there is a rotten egg" from gymnastics, so clearly my homeschooled kids need the socialization the team provides. But man. If we get covid, it'll be from the gym.

As my departure nears closer, I'm getting so sad about leaving my dogs. I'm gonna miss these ears 😭😭
They'll be fine, right??

Someone drove by our yard (which has two Biden/Harris signs) last night while we were eating dinner and yelled TRUMP! ![:|](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/plain.png) Our area is very mixed politically, but there are scattered Trump signs and the large Biden sign on the main road has been vandalized multiple times. And there are a few Trump flags around. Up until 2016 we were considered a bellweather swing county, we always matched whatever the national result was so we got lots of press during elections. We went Blue in 2016 by 0.6% margin, although technically we were still with the popular vote.

Anyone else people watch while waiting at airline gates and scope out fellow passengers? I'm flying solo, so I need to make sure I don't sit near any sketchy people
... Like mullet dude, or that lady that has cleared her throat a bunch, or people who don't know what 6ft looks like

I live in the town I grew up in and a group of students is trying to change the mascot. Unfortunately its not a clear issue of using a native figure like some of them are....and well alumni have their panties in a bunch. But also people are just so effing stupid. The alumni crowd circulated a counter petition, despite the school committee saying they needed direct emails and would not consider the petitions themselves if just collected on change dot org. Tonight is the meeting and people are all "why did you reject our petition?" woe is me, my poor white male athlete self.
ETA: Its still offensive and should be changed, some people just cant figure out the line between change and erasing history. Oh my, did I just channel Pip.

Like mullet dude, or that lady that has cleared her throat a bunch, or people who don't know what 6ft looks like I like to fly Southwest because you can scope out people to avoid before you get on the plane. B group is ideal because you're guaranteed an aisle or window, but can choose your row-mate when you sit down. It's been so long since I flew on a plane without children (or flew on a plan in general), I miss it.

This older woman next to me couldn’t figure out how to use the in flight tv or earbuds so I helped her and she bought me a bunch of the little wines. I felt so free traveling alone 😅😅

I was on one flight for work long ago. The plane was filled to the max and I was in the last row, one guy was a seat over and we were waiting for the inevitable 3rd middle person.
We just about high fivesd when they closed the door and we were the only row that had an open seat.
Yeah it sucked being the last row, but we were the only row and had a little extra space.

Last time I flew was when F was 6 months old and we flew to Florida and back for Christmas. Next potential time will be next summer. If everything is looking good, we'll be driving out west with my folks and then flying home from either Calgary or Vancouver. The only thing is that depending on hubby and his vacation time, I might be flying home with the 2 kids by myself, with a potential of 2 layovers. Yikes.

You guys. on Saturday P jumped off the cedar chest backwards in socks, slipped, and essentially came down forehead to edge of chest. Obviously we were not watching so this is M's account. It immediately blew up into an egg on her forehead- we iced, no concussion symptoms, once it stopped hurting she's been fine. I'm so glad she still has eye balls.
Well you know how bruises change and spread. Now she still has a lump, in addition to two black eyes and lots of random purple. My baby looks like a hockey player.
I'm happy her school knows me well or I'd be worried the police will be showing up.

Apparently Nugget's dance teacher played One Song Glory from Rent in class and she keeps asking Alexa to play it so she can dance and the theater nerd in me is so proud.

M is always asking for Popular from Wicked, which does the same for me. I need to try Wicked for her again! I tried like a year ago because I thought she might recognize Idina's voice and she was not impressed. She also loves Hamilton despite having only sat through part of it (although anytime someone says the word Hamilton she declares "I love Hamilton!").

Oh no stringy! Poor P! That is sadly the way with face bruises. They sort of slide down the face. I’m so glad it wasn’t worse!

It’s noon. My kids have accomplished maybe one page of school work each. And I have done one item of work work.
It’s all so impossible.

My good friend has had a horrible school experience this year in hybrid - and seeing as it'll only go more remote, she can't take it. Her son is unhappy, bored, and she works from home but isn't able to help him because of the nature of her work. So he's also alone (only child).
She's touring what appears to be a super wonderful private school this afternoon (called off the wait list) and I hope they get in/like it for her sake and her son's. But man I'll be jealous. And while its $$. its not any more than I'm paying for child care...

This morning when I went to let the animals out of the barn my donkey met me at the front barn door and startled the crap out of me. MH left her pen door open last night (he has a bad habit of doing that but thankfully she only ever wanders around the barn and there is nothing she can really get into). So while trying to persuade her to go back through her pen to outside the goats tried to sneak out so at one point I was literally on my kneees wrestling a goat. Meanwhile Leonard was having a fit because he wanted his breakfast, and the donkey was trying to ram over her metal garbage bin of feed so it was just total chaos in there for like 10 minutes and I was very "what is my life" and laughing but also sad because my goat wrestling days are nearing an end. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201021/b5591dac8a93714f7f08e8ffc3266f0c.gif)

Today has been such a shit show. We’ve been having a reoccurring issue with our neighbour and it has come to a head over the last few days. I was outside having a heated discussion with her in the driveway with our landlord when someone tried to parallel park and hit my van that was parked on the street. Then I spent an hour on the phone with insurance. So fun!
