I look forward to the time we can enjoy movies as a family (ones that aren’t kid movies). Nothing Hill... About time... Harry Potter of course (I’m a purist, books first, so we’ll have to wait a few more years). I made them listen to me read the first HP before I let them watch the movie. They've liked pretty much every non-kids movies we've watched together. I like animated movies, but it's nice to watch soemthing else now and then too. Yes I think that what we’ll do too, but they need to be able to read subtitles too. Some movies are dubbed, but I cannot watch famous actors speak Dutch, it’s just too weird 😂.

Sunny41 I’m sorry about the family drama... You were right not to want to fly to Europe at that point, hope that you can one day fix things with your brother.

I've got Indian Matchmaking on while I'm working and I absolutely love it. My ex BFF, that ghosted me , is Indian and I loved their whole family so, so much. It is making me miss her so much. She even had an arranged marriage so I am not even scandalized by any of this, I feel like I am reliving her match. Ok. So many questions. Is this show on Netflix/Hulu? Why did she ghost you???? I also have Indian friends who had an arranged marriage and they're the cutest ever. So crazy to hear about the beginning of their marriage. She'd been living in India and he was in the US and I guess the first few months she just stayed in the guest bedroom all day/night terrified. Now they're the most amazing couple. The show is on Netflix, just new this week. Oh it's an amazingly long story about her, it feels like a complete part of my life that just all of a sudden disappeared, FTR I know that she is still in the same house in the city etc but just not in my life. We met at work and we were either together or on the phone, I was with her and her family through so much with her marriage, kids divorce etc, at one point I was at a bank inquiring about a business loan so we could purchase a franchise together. She was my person and she is one of the few people that I would forgive for acting so shitty cause I miss her so much.

vino that's sad...I'm sorry. I have a friend who did similar. Although there is bad blood between us now because in my mind, I know why she ghosted me. I have FB stalked her and I sent her a friend request a few years back, which she didn't accept. I haven't done that in awhile. But I do still think about her a lot.

I'm sorry mwhip, it's so hard when someone just isnt there anymore. My college roommate did this to me. It sucks so bad. I would even send her cards, just thinking of you type things and she at first would text me for a day of two and then wouldn't respond for months. I threw her baby shower, helped her through college, single motherhood, custody battles, and just gone.

That sucks, vino. I'm sorry. I've been the ghoster before (not my finest moment). My college boyfriend was a manipulative ass and didn't like my best friend (or....any of my friends) and I cut her out. WTF was wrong with me!? One of my biggest regrets in life is staying with him and letting him tell me what to do. Anyways, thankfully we are friends again and all is well. Obviously totally different situation but I hope one day she realizes she's missing out on a friendship with an amazing person and reaches out.
