Speaking of the dentist, both the kids had appointments yesterday. Although only M was actually seen because they don't allow you to accompany them into the office. They come to the car and take them back on their own. H lasted long enough to get weighed and then they brought him back out to me. Like, I get the precautionary measures, but does that mean H won't get his teeth checked out until a vaccine becomes available next year? I'm sure with all of the crying/screaming he did, you could have taken a look in there...

tgrimes, I really feel like they should have made an exception. Kids under 5 should be allowed to be with a parent. Or maybe even older than that. Is it a pediatric dentist?

mwhip ds has a sealant one one of his molars because it looked prone to cavities, normally they to it on adult molars only, it literally took 1 minute for the dentist to do it. I have it on my molars and never had a cavity ever, so maybe worth the money! @tgrinea that’s ridiculous, not being allowed to go in... you’d think they’d make exceptions for children that young! peachsmama I can’t believe she’s one already! She’s adorable 🥰.

I was officially half baked yesterday and I thought you were supposed to regain some energy back in second trimester, generally speaking I’ve been really good, but I feel so tired all the time. I have an US and a midwives appointment tomorrow, maybe I should let them check my iron levels since one of the side effects of the medication I’m on is low iron... any of you girls had this?

We had TBall practice last night. Neither MH or I are super athletic and I realized we have dropped the ball (pun intended) with the boys. With S out of school and sports and not seeing his friends, the majority of his exercise was riding his bike or just playing outside. It was painfully obvious at practice last night and he commented that he was not as good as the other kids. So I told him we would start practicing every day. I took him to out to practice throwing and catching (kid can't catch to save his life) and it is about 4296% humidity today. We just got home and I had to completely change my clothes. I mostly just stood there throwing the ball, barely moving. MH and I are also not sports people. When C was 4 we signed him up for basketball. We get there and realize we never even told him what basketball was and he had no clue 😂

Haha. I was pretty tired the whole time I was pregnant with A. Maybe the energy would have come back in the last 9 weeks if he'd stayed in longer?

Dh is of for the next 5.5 weeks, so naps can be taken. But today an hour nap turned in to Dh waking me up for diner 2.5 hours later and I normally never ever nap!!!

My iron was low with all of my pregnancies. Taking iron supplements definitely helped my energy levels.

I doubt he'd sit still enough for x-rays so just take a look, scrape a few spots and be done with it.

mwhip my older kids have sealants and the dentist said they will do T’s at his next appointment in the fall because his molars weren’t grown in all the way but my insurance paid 100% for them. I got them as a kid too and only had 1 cavity when I was pregnant with C. Knock on wood, none of my kids have had any. tgrimes that’s crazy they wouldn’t let you take H in. DS1’s orthodontist let me in and he’s almost 13, I didn’t need to be there. peachsmama Happy Birthday to M! DD went back to gymnastics Monday. Only 4 of 13 team girls returned. She said she’s so sore. She goes back again tonight and I have a dinner reservation with 2 friends that was supposed to be on March 25th!

That sucks about the dentist tgrimes. I can't believe they wouldn't let you go in at all. I walked Evie in and checked her in, we both had our temps taken (wearing masks) and then I went and waited in my car. They called me when she was done and I went in and got her, signed papers and we left. At least they weren't giving out cookies at the end of the visit. She is kind of prone to cavities, she has 1 filling, the one the cap fell off of and now the next one they want to cap as well. I'm thinking yesterdays visit made her realize she needs to take better care of her teeth.

My boys have dental appointments in two weeks. We have to wait in the car until they call us, but I’m not sure if that means I can go in or not. It shouldn’t be a problem for us either way. M2 is oddly breezy when it comes to medical appointments.

Our dentist is requiring the kids walk in alone too. I assume it is for older kids. It's not reasonable for a younger kid. tgrimes

mwhip, i think we get the sealant every time? I know they paint something on her teeth and say not to eat or drink anything for 30 minutes-1 hour. Maybe that's not sealant though...idk. I think that’s a fluoride treatment, we get that too.

My head boss just came into my office and said, "This is going to be exaclty like the academy awards." Then he gave me my certificate for being here 15 years and walked out. It's not even framed.

I had my 2 week pp check up. She said everything sounds like it’s going well and I can start with light exercise. Which is good because I’m feeling pretty much back to normal, except that annoying pain in my mid back where the epidural was. I don’t have to go back for a 6 week check so next time I need to be seen is in a year for my annual. V has an appt in half hour so I’ll be leaving with her shortly. DH is home from work to hang with the big girls since they can’t come to appts. When my girls had dentist appts I was allowed to sit in the waiting room while they were back at their check ups. Both girls do really well at the dentist for the most part so I don’t go back with them. I’m sure if I needed to they would have let me. I wish I would have gotten sealants as a kid, I am so cavity prone and H seems to be too. I have my dental visit in 2 weeks and I guarantee they will tell me I have at least 1 cavity. Happy first birthday to Mallory peachsmama!

I just spent an hour and a half fighting L to take a nap and lost. During that time, he learned to sit himself up and then pull himself up to standing. It’s like my baby disappeared in that short time 😭 except now he’s super cranky and tired but refuses to lay down ever again.
Plus side, though, is that I made H have quiet time and he fell asleep for 1.5 hours 🙌

Back home from V’s appt. She’s still not back up to birth weight but the pedi didn’t seem very concerned. Other than that he said everything is good. Her head has definitely gotten bigger. DH’s break line, that he just got fixed 3 weeks ago is leaking again so he has to get his vehicle towed to the shop so they can fix it again. They better not charge us for the tow or the repair since clearly they didn’t do it right in the first place.

Went on a short bike ride with the kids and L fell asleep at the end and transferred to his crib. Thank goodness!

Luckily he was happy playing in his crib with L for an hour while I got laundry put away. Today he learned how to open the fridge and to climb into the stairs from the side to bypass the gate.
