For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. What would you title this chapter in your breastfeeding journey? 4. What is your LO's name for nursing? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: What job would you be terrible at?

SN change: Hi, valie here Yay! Thanks lady! 1. How old is your LO? 16mos and nearly 3 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3x 3. What would you title this chapter in your breastfeeding journey? They're only babies a short while. 4. What is your LO's name for nursing? DD says "mumma moaw" or something like that. DS asks for breastmilk or mommy's milk. Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? We're good. I'm having anxiety about a work trip I'm going on because I am eligible to claim DS's airfare because he's breastfeeding but I'm wondering what pushback there might be because of his age... Non-BFing question of the week: What job would you be terrible at? Politician. I can't follow politics without getting annoyed. Can't we all agree that we want what's best? Maybe we think different things are best but there is going to be one over-all approach taken so let's do our best to figure out what it should be and go for it. Get your act together, people! See what I mean?

1. How old is your LO? Almost 17 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? Work days: 4 or 5, maybe a little more on non work days. 3. What would you title this chapter in your breastfeeding journey? I'm loving it. 4. What is your LO's name for nursing? She grabs my shirt. Ha. I call it milkies and she just lights up when she hears the word. She has done the sign for milk in the past but not lately.
Non-BFing question of the week: What job would you be terrible at? Not sure i would be terrible at it but i would not like a job that required a lot of travel.
I'm kind of sad the check-in moved. Nothing political (not even sure that's the word) i'm just bad with change and i feel bad for the other board (which makes no sense, i know). I'm not trying to start a discussion on the whole move here because lawd knows it's been discussed enough. just saying my feelings. but, i'm happy to be here with you guys! I enjoy the check-in. Have a nice holiday weekend (for US folks).

I'm so excited to be on a check-in with you again! *happy dance* I'm so insanely excited that I made it this far. It was a scary/bumpy road with some of my psych meds, and I'm honestly not sure how much longer I can make it without my RA and pain meds, but I'm *really* hoping to at least make it through this winter. But sooner is always really rough for me pain-wise, so we'll see if I last that long. Lol

Non-BFing question of the week: What job would you be terrible at? Nursing- I am too impatient and not a people-person.
@kelltothekell, +1 i am also not remotely personally invested in the drama leading to the move- but if there's nobody left over there i dunno what else we can do. :/

Non-BFing question of the week: What job would you be terrible at? Anything requiring creative design. I need structure and rules. My sister is a jewelry designer and I just couldn't do what she does, ever.

I didn't go here when it was on TCF but I'm trying to expand my horizons! @kelltothekell mentioned the BF'ing checkin on our BMB so I thought I'd check it out. 1. How old is your LO? almost 16 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3-4 depending on the day. She sticks her hand down my shirt when she wants to nurse. 3. What would you title this chapter in your breastfeeding journey? I'll be the lone voice of dissent here and say I'm kinda over it... Just when DD seems to be way more into it. So, I'm going with it for now. 4. What is your LO's name for nursing? When prompted, she will sign and say "milk" but it sounds more like "nook" Non-BFing question of the week: What job would you be terrible at? Definitely a politician like a couple of others have mentioned. No way I could do that. Like Ever.

Francesco is 2 Nurses 2-3 times a day "Are you sure you're not hungry" Milkies
I would be terrible at being a dietician.
I'm at a point where i think I would be ok if he weaned. I feel like he is doing more dry comfort nursing than anything else and it's just uncomfortable for me.

lolacachia Yes. I'm letting her decide when she's done. She really only nurses in bed now (so night time and early morning) and sometimes once in the afternoons on weekends but only if we're at home and she's tired. She tells me she is still getting lots of milk...but I never had a lot to start with (low supply) so I'm not sure how much she actually gets. I figure she'll be done with it soon enough so I don't feel any need to rush her. She'll give it up when she's ready.

And the way his little voice looks up at me and asks for milkies, I could never say no lol. I always had an ok supply, I just don't see him getting much milk at this point.

lolacachia To be honest, even if she wasn't getting much I don't think she'd tell me. But she's also not used to getting much anyways. I tried to hand express about a month ago in the shower out of curiosity because I thought there was no way she could be getting much and was actually surprised at how quickly and easily the milk came out so maybe they're getting more than we think? In my imaginary dream world my supply has increased over the past 3 years rather than decreased:)
