PSA: Kudos Pinot Gris is a new favorite of mine. Thanks. Will keep an eye out. DH brought home a PG the other day, I think it was a Biltmore?, and I wasn't a huge fan. Too acidic or something (and normally I like pinot grigio). He also brought Chloe Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, which I did like. I don't know how he makes his picks in the grocery store, lol. I tend to be a creature of habit and buy Starborough, Matua, Seaglass and Kim Crawford SauvBlancs. |

I also miss TRU. We had one pretty close to us. It was great to see things in person, take the kiddo and get ideas. While I love Amazon, sometimes I just need to see and touch things.
The building it was in is still empty. They could easily move back in!

Hey. We did pics yesterday afternoon and it went really well. The big girls were very cooperative and the photographer had some very cute poses for V. I do think we were out there a little too long and V might have gotten a little overheated. She’s ok though. We were all exhausted after because of being in the heat and humidity for so long.
DH took the big girls over to my sister’s house and then took my nephew to the driving range. So V and I had the morning together by ourselves. Nothing planned for the rest of the day.

flamingo Yes, the Toys R Us! It’s really stepped up its game; cleaner, more shopable store with really knowledgeable associates, stock filled etc I’m really impressed with it and find shopping there delightful. They’ve stayed open during covid shutdown and were great with orders ready for pick up within hours.

Not that I shopped there every week, but I miss having it as an option.I will say, the Target near me here has stepped up their game and the toy section got a makeover. It's much larger and more extensive. But still...I liked TRU. I do miss it when I’m stumped on what to buy and I could just go there and see stuff in person and have endless options. |

Day 2 of off-site this week. No help again today, but I'm finally DONE sorting all the shit!!! Hallelujah! 🙌🙌
Now, I have to clean the office's basement out so the boxes we are keeping have somewhere to go, coordinate with the attorneys who have truck for a box retrieval day, and hire some junkers to clear out all the rest of the shit. And I get to try and do it all while staying at 20 hours a week. That's right, I'm part time (not by choice) starting today. I need to get my unemployment lined up for the reduced hours.
I'm exhausted (I know, I've said that a lot lately)

The meeting was Monday and it was basically just them repeating what they had already said. Part time started today and we're all hoping for more work. That's about it. Oh and they've hired someone to come and measure the house we office in so they know the exact sq footage. They will either sell it or rent out parts of it. If they sell it, idk what happens. The firm dissolves and I'm out on my ass or the firm becomes smaller and they rent a smaller space. Who knows. I kind of just take it a day at a time and do my work. I don't have the energy to stress about it and I don't want Cadence to feel any stress about it. I'm trying to keep her home life as normal as possible. |

We finally decided on a solution for our patio and ordered a nice pergola kit on Sunday and it should be here tomorrow. I searched high and low for a promo code before i ordered but couldn’t find anything so bit the bullet and paid full price. Dh just got an email that they are 30% now. Ugh! But I called and they promptly put in a request to refund the 30%. Yay! We’re going to be at my sisters cabin for the weekend and so next week we will power wash the patio and get it all put together. I can’t wait!

I had an acquaintance FB message me today to let me know her daughter is looking for babysitting jobs. She’s 16 and helped teach N’s Sunday school class. The family is very sweet and I’m excited to have another babysitter!
N and her friend are having so much fun. They have been playing and singing for 2 hours. I also overheard a conversation about how their dads and brothers toot, but not their moms 😂💁🏻♀️

We went over to check on my parents’ house/yard so I let the kids swim while we were there (we still need to go get our club IDs done to use our pools here 🤦🏻♀️)
Anywho! I struck up a conversation with a woman and mentioned the shutters and after getting her take, made my decision. DH concurred so I called and put down a deposit to start our order before I could change my mind 😂

Well, the governor closed a bunch of things down today in the county my work is in. I’m sure they will provide an update on Monday. Part of our business was suppose to open next week so hopefully it opens just with less things. But who knows.

Dh chose to go to softball tonight so it’s my first bath and bedtime with all 3. The big girls have done nothing but fought and cried because they want daddy. I’m trapped on the couch feeding the baby so there’s nothing I can do but yell at them from here. I’m getting very frustrated. H is being mean to S mostly.
