I'm glad to see masks are starting to be required in more states. It's crazy that the simple fact can cut down transmission so we can get through this.. other countries are capable of containing this (by listening to American scientists' guidance!) and we are being obtuse. I have two friends that have lost grandparents so far and I cannot imagine the rage of dealing with knowing with proper leadership, this didn't need to be this bad.
My pediatrician and I chatted yesterday and discussed going back to daycare and various activities..and then I asked what she's doing. She's not joining her pool, she is holding off on dentist visits unless an issue, but does her own grocery shopping and visiting her parents outdoors with masks. My state is doing okay now, but the states with spikes are not far away, so we shall continue to stay home.

Tonight on the local news the dumbass sheriff from the next county over dislikes our governor's recently announced mandate to wear masks (it was always recommended, now you can be fined without one). The idiot was using his platform and position of authority to encourage people not to be "sheep" and to "question " things. Asshole. The time to question was 4 months ago dumbass. This is not new information. Experts in the field have already answered so many questions about it anyone who actually cares to learn has had their share of opportunities.
The reporter was really good and when the sheriff said he wouldn't fine anyone the reporter inquired about someone speeding and if he would fine them. The dumbass sheriff said that's "apples to oranges" because he isn't endangering anyone by not wearing a mask.
🤨😠😤🤬

chrisy01 how do you feel about the delayed opening of DL? Will that impact you in any way?

We never even actually locked down. It does sound like our cases are going down but I’m sure it’s the quiet before the storm, so to speak.

Thanks for thinking of me inthekitty
I found out a minute before the press as I was walking out from a 12 hour shift so I’m not sure yet. I was told via text no more OT.
I know that I will most likely keep working but we don’t know if people who were just unfurloughed what’s happening with them. But even that’s not for certain. It’s all just unreal. We were already going to be the last Disney Park to open now we don’t know when we will. It’s all just crazy.
This means I will have time for here again. I’m going to try and keep up starting this weekend. Today and tomorrow I will be figuring out the new norm again.

Like our Costco and target say masks required. I think as we start venturing out, we will only go places that require them. I just picked up some from target bc mh wanted non-homemade ones and he got some plain black/Navy ones. I got j the kid version and it fits but he doesn't like that it is just plain blue..N still has zero interest in discussing or trying on.

Got a ride for DD and joined the wine tasting. People were asking the best way to store wine when you don’t finish it. I was confused.... They must be talking about opening multiple bottles, right?? 😂

You can just iron it on.

Yes, the only stores I know of that require them here are Costco and Menards. I got a pack of the kids mask from target too and they’re a little big for H but we have homemade kids ones that fit both her and S so that’s ok. Old navy has some cute patterns.

We wore them at the zoo yesterday in 85 degree temps and they weren’t awful. I don’t make the kids wear them while we were there, but they have worn them and do ok. I got some ones from Etsy and they are very thick. I won’t be wearing them until it gets cooler in the fall.

The only store around me that require it is Costco. I go there a lot. Fresh market has a sign that says please don’t enter without a face covering and people give no shits. They don’t require it so people don’t. I don’t see the harm in wearing a mask for 15 minutes while you’re in the store.

I'm pretty sure every store in Jersey requires them. Although in truth I have only been inside Dunkin Donuts and the grocery store.
B can officially start DC as early as next week and I still haven't made my decision. This is so hard!!!

Are they not limiting the number of people that can go in? That has definitely helped in all this while I walk in circles hoping the arrow for the aisle I need is in my favor.

I don’t know if they limit. It was packed but not overwhelmingly so, so maybe? I’m honestly not sure
