Well, they assigned the scanning job to the receptionist. I really feel like they should have told him to shove it. For sure.

Got a call this afternoon to come back in for a 2nd mammogram. I went in and had it done on Thursday, but I guess they saw something questionable. So I go in tomorrow for a 2nd one and possible ultrasound as well. Joy. Shit, I’m sorry. I still haven’t gotten a call about scheduling mine. I should call them.

klong11 Wow. He has some nerve. I can’t believer they are making any of you do that. Hopefully it’s turns out to be nothing serious with the mammogram.

kim22 happy birthday! Evies pediatrician didnt want us to come to the office, so we did a video call. Still no idea what is going on, but shes referring us to a pediatric rheumatologist. Waiting for them to call, but I'm sure they wont want us in their office either.

And my blood work from this morning already came in. My cholesterol is high and my doctor wants me to start a low cholesterol, low fat diet. My gastro already told me to start a low carb, no sugar diet. Looks like I'll be able to eat......celery, nothing but celery. This day can be done now.

I’m a day late but Happy Birthday kim22! klong11 I hope the appointment today shows nothing. And I’m sorry about the diet. Would your insurance cover a nutritionist appointment? I had one ages ago when I was first diagnosed with diabetes and it was super helpful. I have since learned that like a therapist you need to have a connection with the nutritionist or you will be muttering about that “naturally skinny vegetable loving bitch” the whole appointment. Not that I’ve done that before 😇

wedding, that's a good idea. I'll look into my insurance and see if it is covered.

Sunday 6/21 I took a long nap so I wasn’t tired at my usual bedtime. I ended up staying up all night because of that and the excitement/anticipation of my indiction. I got the call around 6am with the go ahead to come in at 8. We dropped the girls off with my stepmom and off to the hospital we went. I got my first dose of cytotec at 9am. Contractions started around 30 minutes after I took the pill. I started my induction at 3cm and 50% effaced. It took a long time to get things moving. I got a second dose of cytotec at 1:20pm and things started feeling a little more intense. I finally got to 4cm after that. I did lots of walking and bouncing on the ball. I asked for and got my epidural at 2:30. The anesthesiologist was clearly in a hurry, he was talking a mile a minute and as soon as it was in he bounced. The epidural was great, I could still feel sensations in my bottom and move my toes but no pain with contractions. After that it was a pretty boring time of the nurse turning me over every hour or so. The OB originally planned to break my water at 5:30 but got held up with other deliveries and surgery so she actually finally came in around 7:15pm and there wasn’t a ton of fluid that came out. Things slowly started progressing and then my BP was running low. The nurse tried having me lay back, giving fluids and turning me but she did eventually end up having to give me meds to get it back up. Because I wasn’t dilating as fast as they wanted she started me on Pitocini around 8. After that things moved a lot quicker. Around midnight I was so close to complete. There was a lip of cervix on the right side that just wouldn’t go away. She thought it was gone so we tried pushing with really no luck. The had me lay on that side with the peanut ball between my knees and finally it went away and was time to push. I started pushing around 1ish, I think. I pushed for a few contractions with just the nurse and it was hard work. I remember it going a lot better with DD2. The doctor came in and was trying to help her come out but she was stuck with the top part of her head sticking out. I think I pushed for 3 or 4 contractions like that until she finally was born at 1:46am. Her cord was wrapped tightly around her neck so the OB got her cord clamped, DH cut it and then they rushed her over to the panda bed. The nicu team ran in and got her breathing and her color to improve. They had her in the warmer for at least 10-15 minutes. In the meantime the OB got my placenta out and gave me 1 stitch for a tiny tear. Eventually I got to hold my sweet girl. She started nursing at some point and then proceeded to pop off and on for like 2 hours. The nurse gave her a sponge bath and washed her hair in our room before we got moved up to postpartum.
