Hello  Hopefully some of you know me from the Politics board; I see everyone is coming over here, so here I am - reintroducing myself in case folks here don't know me and are all like "WHO IS THIS STRANGER?!". I had just joined SM when the world ended over there. So, I'm new to pretty much everyone here. Name is Lisa. Have a 1-year old daughter. Live in Northern VA. Passionate about mental health. AMA? lol. Or not. Since I've introduced myself in 3 places now  |

I'm a technical writer for a software company. I just have a personal passion for MH. I'm hoping to get trained by Postpartum Support International (PSI) and start a peer support group and also volunteer with the Virginia chapter in future (you have to be 18 months in recovery, which I'm not entirely sure how they define or if I'll qualify since I had issues before being pregnant and still do - just, not related to being a mom anymore...we'll see). |

Good luck with your training! Our office has a women's clinic that deals entirely with women TTC, pregnant and postpartum and I'm so happy we offer it, seeing what a hard time people in other areas have with getting treatment for these issues. |
