Well, after 10 calls I got a maybe that someone can come look at my ac today. The rest were all sometime next week. If I can’t get someone during the day then I’ll get someone who can come after hours because it’s going to be back up into the 90s this weekend and my 9 months pregnant self can’t handle that. vino hi! I’m glad things are going as well as can be expected. flamingo that’s so exciting! I hope this pregnancy goes very well for her. tgrimes I’m glad the surgery is so much less expensive that you were expecting. Definitely play the pregnancy card. |

tgrimes Yess to YH’s better insurance prices. Glad for some good news. Also LOL to typical men behavior. MH is always saying he can handle it, but I just need to be there for certain things and to get correct info!

+eleventy to husbands not getting and/or explaining full details. Not just for kid stuff, either... Good news trtlcrzy! Thanks, y’all, I’m excited! I missed out on my nephew’s baby days since we were so far away so I’m excited to be closer so I can snuggle this one a bit more. |

tgrimes, it was at 10 and it was awkward as f*ck. Zoom interviews sound better than they are. Sure I can wear comfy pants and just log in right before, but I just kept thinking how fat my face looked on screen and why do I look close up while everyone else is further back. My kid's Frozen castle is behind me and I just felt very........fake. I hate interviews. There were 3 people there, 1 chick left randomly to answer her door and then never came back. I may need to start a thread on the general board to determine is she was kidnapped or not.  They took turn asking questions and clearly didn't talk beforehand because they were basically the same questions, just worded differently. Which made me feel dumb because I felt like I was just repeating my answers for everything. All in all it went fine and they were nice, but I'm not sure it will be the right fit for me, or if I'm the right fit for them, really. First one in the bag, on to the next.

Hello. My night out last night was so nice. I ended up not getting home until midnight 😳 we decided to just ditch the bottle for L since he hasn’t had one in 3 months and he’s been practicing drinking water out of a sippy. So Dh tried putting milk in a sippy before bed and L lost his mind. He ended up going to sleep without it, but I told Dh to get a bottle if desperate. Dh claimed he couldn’t find the bottles. They are literally in the cupboard with all the other glasses and sippy cups... right there on the first shelf not hidden behind anything. Seriously?
We’re just hanging around the house today. I’m going to tackle a little porch refresh during Ls nap... paint the trim around the side lights and spray paint the gold hardware. I didn’t tell Dh my plan... let’s see how long it takes him notice.

flamingo congratulations! tgrimes glad that you got a better price. I’d do the surgery now while surgery is allowed just in case they shut things down again in the fall. vino glad you are doing well. Gymnastics just called and they plan to open July 6. They wanted to know if we would send DD. I said yes but her 2 good friend’s parents were leaning towards no. I really hope she gets to go back. Last night we had T’s best friend and his brother and parents over to play in the yard. He was so happy.

I dropped off the clothes and am waiting on my groceries. My friend was supposed to be induced today but just sent me a fresh baby picture! So I'm not sure what happened but yay for a healthy baby! Hoping I get more details in a bit once she's settled.

We ended up going to the lake to swim after lunch and just got home a little bit ago to a nice cool house  . The capacitor was blown so he replaced it and charged me 130, which I gladly paid. I’m so excited to sleep in my freezing cold room tonight when I get home from work. After being in the sun all afternoon I wish I could just go to sleep now. 1 week from today is my last shift before mat leave, I can do it! |

I had an eventful end to the workday. It got a little scary, but the patient pulled through. MH and the boys are at swim lessons, so I’m glad that I have the house to myself to cook and decompress for a bit.
We got new neighbors last weekend, but they are never outside so we never got to introduce ourselves. When I pulled up they were out in their garage. I walked to my mailbox even though I knew it would be empty just to “see” and when I glanced over the wife waved so I waved back and walked over. They seem really nice and I hope this is the start of a good relationship. They have small kids not far from the boys ages, too.

guster her EDD is 12/26. klong11 I'm with you, I don't like video/facetime type stuff b/c I do not like seeing myself on camera. They probably felt just as awkward. Sorry about camp. lahdeedah Sounds like the neighbors have potential!

We just got back from dinner at a taco place out at the beach; we stopped on the way home for ice cream and then saw several deer in my parents' neighbor's front yard--like, on the sidewalk by the front door eating out of their potted plants. The deer here are very brazen, lol. Highlight of the day for the kids.

Today the local Black Student Union, together with a few other groups, organized a protest march that started about 1/4 mile from my house and went right past my front door. I did not feel comfortable marching since social distancing would be so hard, but I had S make signs and we sat outside and watched. There were so many people and the cops and the mayor were a part of it and it was beautiful and heartbreaking. The boys just held up the signs and waved and everyone was waving to them and showing their signs back. I love my little town. I snapped this pic at the end of it after S had gone in.  |
