Morning. I will dropping off Logan’s school work and picking up the last set today. Then I’m going into work. There is a protest at city hall today which is just down the street from work so everyone is suppose to be cautious today coming in. They are nervous because some of the other protests in the area became violent and involved looting.

Morning. Today is a public holiday, so there’s a Sunday vibe in the household. Lots of hanging around the house today. Dd is still tired from yesterday and the house is messy, but neither of use is feeling inclined to do something about it, oh well. After two sort of busy days that involves seeing more people than we’ve seen in the last three months Dh and I both feel overstimulated and tired 😂😂😂. We grilled some extra thing on the bbq last night, so it’s left overs for dinner.

I unfriended and blocked several people on my FB over the past few years due to being Trumpers. Smell ya later racist aunt. There's one person left who I keep on there purely because I want to see the dumbshit stuff he posts and hope it implodes in his face. I have resisted the urge to comment many times. It's our dumbass TKD instructor and he posts a lot of political and social commentary despite the fact that like a moron he friended everyone at the dojang and we're in a liberal area.

He never once posted about George Floyd's death but was deeply upset about the vandalism and posted about that several times as well as some pro-police babble. 🙄 The latest was a was inflammatory dickhead post in which he said if you support the protesters then you can unfriend him right now. One of the comments was someone from the TKD community who simply replied "alright, peace" with the ✌ emoji. I hope the stupid crap he puts out there gets thrown back in his face.

I'm still annoyed MH spent so much at the dojang last fall on stupid shit like weapons but I've decided as much as it saddens me I'm done come November because we've already paid through then. It makes me sad that the girls have been there so much of their lives and will be so close to being black belts but this instructor is such a dick. It's not the same place it was. It used to be a great way for me to have fun with the family, get out stress, and exercise but that's not the case anymore. He plays favorites and often yells at the girls. He can eff off if he thinks he's getting more of my money.

Smokey's H passed away in April, not from Covid, but from pneumonia. He had been sick for awhile. There was no funeral...or obituary. Smokey came back to work the very next day. She now brings her dog, whom she yells at anytime it barks. She has a glass door to her office that looks out over the parking lot, which many people walk through throughout the day. I've never heard someone reprimand their dog so much.

She asked me if I needed work to do. Uh, no. I'm having to clear out the entire offsite storage, my hands are pretty full right now!

She said today was going to be a bad day(she has access to information). I'm not looking forward to these meetings this afternoon.

I'm at the office full time beginning today. M's camp opened up and H had already been going to daycare. Daycare was supposed to go back to regular hours this month but they sent me an email late Friday that due to low attendance, they'd still only be open 9-4. Fuck. So MH has to check with his boss if he can go in late and I need to find out if I can leave early. I'm pissed they waited until the last minute to tell us this. The director didn't even say anything to me about it when I picked up H Friday. WTF?

MH and I think we were left off an email that went out earlier because the one I received Friday was only sent to me and cc'd MH. He said something to the director when he dropped of H this morning and she mentioned an earlier email and then said she'd call him later about it.

Pretty sure I'd remember receiving an email like that. I checked my spam folder, too.

inthekitty I'm always surprised by people who have a public persona, who freely post their political beliefs. I had to have a talk with my mom awhile back about some of her posts. she sells real estate in a small town. Keep your personal shit to yourself if you want to continue to have business. No one needs to know those kind of things.

I had a dentist appointment this morning, so E is at MILs. I'm doing some work, then going to try to get out for a run before it gets hot. I got really sunburned yesterday, so I need to put some sunblock on before I go out, at least my arms.

We pressure washed the whole house yesterday so I'm washing windows inside and cleaning out the window wells so I can put the screens back in after I spray them.

A friend of mine reached out because her sons baseball league needed a few more kids in order to have a season. So I signed both boys up. The practice schedule is insane but the boys are excited and I'm grateful for an activity to burn energy.

Cadence didn't even say bye to me this morning. I took her into the gym and she put her stuff in her cubby and took off towards the trampoline. Bye!

Yes, they are at the same church.  It's just different sides of the church.  For the record, it is all nonprofit.

What kills me is M's side only takes online payments but H's side will only do checks.  Do you know how many points I'd have if they took credit card payments?  Lol.

Morning. It’s going to be 90 here today so we’re heading to swim in the lake at my sisters cabin. I love having the kids swim there because even H can touch at the end of the dock, but he still prefers a life jacket. But I’m just much less nervous there than other lakes. We will probably be there a lot this summer since our city pool is officially closed for the year.

Hi! We got the word that both day care and camp will be opening in July. I have not decided what to do with the boys yet. I feel crippled by this decision. On the one hand - they need structure, etc. and I am tired of this full time parenting crap lol. On the other hand, I am terrified.

I have changed my mind approximately 892 times since they announced it last week.

(FYI, I am still "working" from home, although that consists of about 2-3 hours of actual work and 2 video meetings per week. I could absolutely get that done with both boys here, I just am not sure I want to.)

This is awful.  I get that it's a difficult decision, but if you are going to announce layoffs, just get it over with.

I can't remember if I told y'all that we decided to get rid of the paci Saturday night. MH put H to bed Saturday night but he stayed in the room with him until he fell asleep. He slept through the night just fine without it. Yesterday I tried to put him down for a nap and he wasn't having it. MH went in there and stayed with him till he fell asleep. It was a short nap though because he had to poop. Last night I put him to bed but the kid would not go to sleep. I walked out after being in there for 45 minutes and H walked out a few minutes later. MH went in there twice and then finally stayed in there until he fell asleep.

He woke up at 5:30 this morning. I put him back to bed and he fell asleep within 5 min. I got in the shower and I heard him come in our room. He never went back to sleep. I know it will take a few days for him to adjust but I also don't want to get in the habit of staying in his room until he's asleep.
