We went to the HS football field this morning. C wants a highlight reel of him running plays with dh for his YouTube channel so I had to film. It was fun and C and I had a blast running around and daring each other to do silly things.
Right after I went grocery shopping and almost passed out because my blood sugar was so low. I’ve never actually passed out but it was 29 so I easily could have. Normal is 90-120 for reference and the lowest I have ever been was 23. I’m not always feeling them lately, which isn’t good. I always keep fruit snacks on me so I ate those and made it through but now I am so drained. I hate that my body is such crap sometimes. 😖

Hi. Heading to my parents for Sunday dinner. I just ran errands alone. It was my first time feeling like I didn’t have to rush in and out of target. I took my sweet time, but it was crazy to see how few people are wearing masks now, when a couple of weeks ago, 75% were, now about that many aren’t.
Dh suggested a little patio makeover so that’s going to be our anniversary present to ourselves. I ordered a rug for under the table and we’re going to put up a sunshade and string lights. Can’t wait!

I ran this morning and then we took the kids to walk around the water hole. When we got back M started screaming outside. That’s when I saw the snake. Y’all know I’m terrified of them, but I killed it. To be clear, it wasn’t very big. But when I tell this story later I’ll leave that part out.  |

It’s been so nice to have a nice, chill day at home as a family. It seems like we always have something going on, and the other weekends have been so gloomy. The girls have been playing nicely together, which always helps. We didn’t end up going to fleet farm today so I may go there tomorrow morning after my doctor appt. it’s supposed to get to the 90s the next couple of days so if I want to do anything it has to be in the morning.

Tomorrow I go back to the office and Cadence goes to gymnastics camp. We are both very excited to get out of the house. My office door will remain closed and I'll wear a mask when/if I venture out of my space, but still.

One of my vendors just let me know their store//warehouse was looted last night. It’s a woman/minority owned business. I feel horrible the owner sounded devastated. She said she hopes to be back up in a few weeks but if things continue they may not survive

Welp our firepit works great. Madison just couldn't contain herself. She started breaking boards for the kindling and then got the lighter. I told her not to attempt it until it was time and next thing I know the fire is roaring. Just enough time to roast marshmallows then it died out. She knew without me saying she was in trouble. 👩🚒🔥

Hi from lockdown life still. I feel like we are in different countries! We did take the kids out for the first time in months and we did a picnic and hike at a park close by, N really enjoyed being in the car, ha.
As usual, I'm paying too much attention to the news and prob should start limiting it a bit. It is just too much going on.. I expected a trump presidency would be bad, but didn't really think we'd actually be in a depression during a pandemic with widespread rioting going on... speaking of which I need to do research for my primary ballot. I need to find some time to read some of the books that are being recommended and pick up some more for the kids.
ETA: I recognize that I am the definition of privileged. I am fully onboard for change, it is shameful that this is 2020. I'm glad to see brands and more people speaking up with suggestions on how to educate ourselves and help rather than staying silent.

I decided to get Dunkin’ Donuts for the kids and I. I have started the chicken and gnocchi in the slow cooker and the kids are watching scooby doo. Once scooby is over we will go deliver cupcakes to some of our family for E’s party next week. Recipe please? It’s pretty good. Not quite olive gardens but good. |

tallb same that I had about as low of expectations as could be with a Trump presidency, but holy hell it's way worse than I ever imagined. It really shows the difference a good leader can make. He's a disgrace and I sincerely hope people vote in NOV. May be the one good thing to come out of 2020.

MH killed a snake Friday morning that was legit, not the little ones I found in the landscaping. He said he almost thought M was trying to play a trick on him when he realized it was real. It was smaller, so there’s a mom out there somewhere. 😫😫😫 I sprinkled the snake repellent when I got home. |

I think I got it at Home Depot or Lowe’s by the pest control stuff. There were two or three products. The one I got was a jug with some tiny pellets. I think it’s called Snake Away. |

There was a peaceful protest this afternoon/evening in my city that went very well. Then another group of protesters showed up, marched to the mall and started trying to loot. Police were there quickly to help break up the protestors. Sounds like they have went to different areas and are breaking windows in businesses and looting if they can. The mayor declared a state of emergency with a 10pm curfew. It also sounds like the majority of the current protestors are young, teenagers to young adults. wineallthetime it sucks that your sister and BIL can’t go out without worrying about him getting arrested. I hope they made it home safe. |
