We’re on our way to nephews 1st bday and will get the kids back from ILs. I slept like crap last night, probably due to everything going on. Hopefully we’ll be home mid afternoon and will spend the rest of the day outside since it’s going to be gorgeous out.

Everyone's still in bed here. I'm trapped under a dog and cat.
Don't know what's on the agenda today. We had a lot of fun playing badminton with my friends last weekend and may repeat that.

Morning. We all slept in. Not sure what is on the agenda today. I need to do some cleaning, figure out dinner, and maybe take the boys to the park later.
I bought an outdoor rug on Amazon last week and it arrived yesterday. I got a shipment notification today that it shipped, so it looks like I will have two. I did need another rug, but I wanted a different one for under the boys picnic table. Knowing amazon, if I try to send it back they will refund me or just tell me keep it, so 🤷🏽♀️.

Morning! Today is my birthday, so I woke up to birthday songs and presents. My h got me birthposters of both kids, books and a massage bar from lush.
The zoo opened up a few weeks ago for members, so we booked a time slot and surprised the kids, ds was almost in tears when we told him we where going. He’s been asking about it almost daily, so it was nice to be able to surprise him. My back hurts after all the walking, but it is well worth it.
I had lots of people dropping if presents and have ordered cheesy pizza for tonight. All in all very good day!

Cadence's friend is having a birthday drive-by parade tomorrow afternoon. I've seen in others where they specifically say "no gifts", but this invite didn't and I bought a gift. Would it be weird to try and hand off a present out the window as we drive by? I wouldn't if they had specified not to, but since they didn't I went ahead and got a gift.

Hello hello, I did a Harris teeter pickup order, my new favorite. There was a surprise graduation parade down our street that was exciting. I am about done putting out the mulch I got last week and will need more, but this is a good start for now.
My college gf is having a girl in Nov and I am sending her pictures of my nicer winter baby clothes, hoping she wants some of my favorites so it's easier to get rid of them. Whatever she doesn't want I'm offering to his teacher. And then I have multiple bags for donations, whenever I can donate stuff.

Morning! We had family pics and it went really well. Of course getting everyone ready was a shit show as per usual. I got a round brush stuck in S’s hair so she started off the shoot crabby but quickly changed her mood. It’s a nice day outside so hopefully we can do something fun as a fam.

I baked a handful of cheesecakes last night and dropped them off to a few neighborhood friends with Josie this morning. It was nice to wave to her friends from their yards. Then Josie had zoom tap while MH ran Charlie ragged in the front yard.
Kids are playing with the water table now and I’m online shopping for linen pants.
No plans (like usual) today, so we’ll grill so chicken and make a salad for dinner.

I was very hungover this morning. I didn’t drink very much but it was a mix of too many things. MH’s friends called the restaurant and bought us champagne. I only had one glass but it was too much after my martini and glass of wine.
I’m finally feeling human again.

We just woke up ds to witness the rocket launch. We should’ve woken him up earlier, he was half asleep still during lift off, poor thing 😂😂😂.

Happy weekend!
I took yesterday off to mulch but we only got about half of it done. 2 of the beds - one of which I've been actively tending because otherwise it gets overrun with prickers - were FULL of poison ivy and poison oak. Today I spent another 6 hours or so clearing those out, so DH can mulch tomorrow. I'll probably help a bit but man, I feel beat up. I'm also sure I have some level of poison ivy but only time will tell how bad it is. At least it's cleared out so the boys won't get it!
Now I'm trying to balance relaxing with paying attention to the boys. I'm on call for work again but it's been radio silence. Hopefully that's a good sign and they don't raise the red flag once it's too late.
