Hi everyone, With my first of I was induced and never got any pre-labor signs. Friday I was at the doctor and was to I was 1cm dilated and 70 percent effaced. I am pretty sure (here is the tmi) I lost my mucus plug and had bloody show tonight. Is this because of the exam Friday or should I be worried about preterm labor. I am almost 37 weeks.
Thanks!

Hi! The mucous plug can regenerate so hopefully it is only from the exam! I would definitely pay attention to any cramping/contractions if they occur, but you are probably fine. Good luck!

I was told by the nurse at my birthing class that you could lose your mucus plug and still not go into labor for weeks. Just pay attention to contractions, that'll be more of an indicator.

Yep, my friend lost her mucus plug 3 weeks before her daughter was born.
