Morning girls. The weather is lovely so the kids are outside playing, my back feels a lot a lot better, I have an ob appointment in an hour and a half in the hope that she can ease my worries a bit (I think the main part of the stress that played havoc on my back) came from being worried it would go wrong again. Hopefully once I feel movement I can really start to enjoy it a bit more instead of just being overwhelmed with fear the whole time. And then PT this afternoon.
Hope you all have a good day!

We are headed to my parents backyard to sit six feet away from each other and have a cookout. There will be 7 of us which is over the regulated 5 and one of them is my gram. I’m not thrilled about it and had a long discussion with my parents about the risk they are taking doing this but they insist. We will see how it goes.
Somehow dh and I slept until almost noon. I went downstairs and C had eaten two bags of mini muffins, two single serve bags of chips, goldfish, and ice cream sandwich, and sugar free wafers. Most of these items are stored away as treats and he shouldn’t be getting them without permission so he’s in a little trouble. Then again it’s the price you pay for sleeping in.

wedding, I have so many thoughts. First, noon!? I don't think I've ever slept til noon haha. Second, he occupied himself in that time and didn't wake you up? Do not understand. Can he teach my kids? They can eat whatever they want if they leave me alone until 8 😂

wedding that beats Cadence's daily screams for waffles. I've shown her how to put the eggos in the toaster and nope, every morning she yells for one of us to get up to make them for her.

Last night, C got a fever. We were up all night. He just wanted me to hold him. This morning I was able to get a tele doc appointment with our pediatrician. He was saying his ear hurt so she told me to meet her at the office. She said they had no other patients and it would just be her and one nurse. She did not find anything wrong with him besides the fever. She does not think he needs Covid testing as we haven’t been around many other people. She said to call if there are any issues with his eyes or swelling in his tongue, hands and feet or any type of rash. We are just watch and wait for now.
So weird how first week of March we went to a routine pulmonologist appointment in the hospital where I let him play in the playroom and didn’t give it a second thought. A few days later we find out that same hospital admitted the first N.J. covid patient that same day we were there. Today was me and C in masks and the doctor looking like she’s cleaning up a nuclear spill, the office area wrapped in plastic, the chairs turned upside down so you can’t sit in them. So crazy.

Happy Memorial Day. We are having a chill morning and then going to friends’ house for a grill out. It’s been raining all morning so we will probably be inside. I think I finally got picture outfits figured out for next weekend.

Hi! Not much happening here. I went out for a grocery run this morning and the boys are playing on the water slide again. I have some things to do around the house, but other than that just relaxing.
I’m loving Chuck Fil A’s curbside. I nope out of the drive thru a lot because it’s wrapped around the building, but when I realized they put the numbered spaces for mobile order pickup, it’s so easy to do that and pull up in a space. There is still a long drive thru line and only 3-4 of the curbside spaces taken. They must keep this service.

They can eat whatever they want if they leave me alone until 8 😂 I know! Since this started we have been so exhausted. The latest I could sleep before was about 9:45 but there have been a couple of times now that I sleep later. Dh could sleep all day. He is pretty independent and stopped waking us a long while ago. He knows how to work the tv and get his breakfast. Sometimes we come down to toys everywhere but it’s worth it. I’m sure if we had younger siblings this would never happen.

I guess semi-confession that I rarely make the girls breakfast. We're more mid-morning eaters and no one wants to eat first thing. Sometimes we do a big brunch, but normally I encourage them to get some cereal or fruit if they're hungry and wait until lunch to fix them something. I rarely sleep in after Maddie (lazy bones slept till 10:30 today) but in quarantine times Cass often wakes first and eats/watches tv until everyone else wakes up.

inthekitty cadence didn't eat breakfast during the school year. Sometimes she would eat dry cereal in the car, but very rarely. Plus, they eat lunch at like 11 at school, with a snack before then. She was fine to wait. Now since we're home she wants to eat, but won't do crap for herself.

Hi hi - got a workout in and then picked up my drive up order of mulch at home depot. Good Lord it was packed, no way would I have wanted to go in there. I wish they did plants curbside though, that would be extremely helpful.
Then we played outside for a while and mh ran out of matches getting the fire started and now is in a horrible mood bc he doesn't have have this life skill down 🙄.
Oh last night I tried ordering some more curtains for PBkids and 4 different styles showed in stock and then disappeared once I tried to pay. I am still grouchy about it bc I wasted so much time debating which ones to get.

My girls get up way earlier than I do, sometimes dh hasn’t left for work yet so he will help them. H knows how to run the tv and they both know how to get themselves breakfast food. Of course sometimes they do things they shouldn’t do but for the most part they behave. S usually comes in and wakes me up to help her open a gogurt, but I don’t necessarily go out to the living room at that time. I am really lazy/unmotivated right now so I’m glad this is working. Of course in 5ish weeks when I have a new baby all of it will stop for like the next 2ish years.

That way I could still sleep since I tossed and turned all night. Once Mallory was born we laid out some rules. They can't wake me or Mallory unless absolutely necessary, m is usually up at 6:45, j at 7:30. MJ wakes anytime between 7-9 depending on how the night went. They watch their tablets, play, m usually crafts. Sometimes they feed themselves. It's glorious. But we cosleep and MJ sleeps great most of the time.

Oh yeah, I’m not worried about the girls, the new baby is who is going to prevent me from sleeping in. She will be in our room but not in our bed. I’m too paranoid to cosleep with a tiny baby.

Typically L will wake up between 0530 and 630. He won’t get C or I until 630 when Mella has turned green. He will either just lay in bed or play quietly until then.
E is the wild card. Sometimes she’s up at 530 other days We are waking her up by 630/700.
Pre-pandemic I was up at 430 to get ready for work at 600. Now on running days I’m up at 330 and the other days 530ish. Or at least that’s what my alarms are set for.

I’m super late to yesterday’s discussion thread. My kids have never gone downstairs on their own, ever. Josie just got out of the habit of calling for us before she even left her room. Since quarantine started they’ve been having sleepovers so they wake up and entertain each other before mh or I go in to get them. The kids wake up between 7 and 8 most mornings now that we pushed bedtime time back a little bit. I am to wake up a little after six. I like that time in the morning to get the day ready, drink my coffee in peace and do a quick seven minute workout.

guster same here. They’ve never been downstairs alone in the morning. The kids wake between 06.45-07.30, most of the time around 7. Before they where in their big rooms, they’d call if they could come into our room and we’d all snuggle a bit before getting up. Now that they are one floor above us, I put up a baby gate on top of the stairs again because I’m terrified they’ll wake up and drowsily fall down the stairs. So now they’ll wake, call us and one of us will go get them, if there’s time we’ll snuggle. ETA I wake up around 06.30 and usually read the news, stop around here, check my messages, email etc.
