I'm going to run in a bit. Pray for me.
Afterwards, H will finally get his hair cut.

Morning!
DH took my car to be weighed so he is driving around a bit to burn off some gas and will bring back donuts.
Today we are cleaning, packing my car, etc. The sitter is coming back for a couple hours to swim with the kids.
Monday we are headed to the beach so that will be my reward for today and the drive home tmrw 😄

Morning! We started the morning with blueberry muffins and Chase has been sure to remind everyone that he made them with me. Now I'm drinking coffee while Colin watches marbles on TV and Chase brings me "snacks". It's supposed to rain today so lots of indoor play and just relaxing. Which is good because I overdid the running this morning and had a pretty bad dizzy spell.
DH may drive down to finally drop off the boys' ski rentals, now that the store has reopened. Apparently they usually have a big party at return time but clearly not this year. That's definitely the stuff that gets to me the most - all the normal, fun, social things the kids are missing out on.

Hi.
I’m at work waiting to hear if I am doing any patients. I have 1 ordered, but she is refusing, so I wait. I’m out at 10am otherwise. I have the next two days off and I’m so looking forward to sleeping in.
It looks like it may want to rain, so not sure what’s on the agenda today.

Morning. I think it’s going to be warm and sunny today finally 🙌🏻. Friends of ours got a bounce house for the weekend so we are planning to go over there at some point today.

Weigh your car empty (and low on gas) then weigh it full (with a full tank) and you get paid by the poundage what you moved.

Might go on a short hike today. I want to explore a bit. I'm worried that since it's a holiday weekend a lot of places might be crowded so I'm not sure how far we'll go from home.

joelies it's the random little events like you mentioned we're missing the most too. Little festivals and whatnot. In which we inevitably see someone we know and chat a bit.

I’m alive. It was much nicer to run earlier in the morning. It was still hot but the sun was not blaring yet.

Normally this season is filled with school festivities. Next week is Pentecost, traditionally the oldest boy and girls would be bride and groom, there would be dancing around the Maypole and then in a few weeks Midsummer with the flower crowns... it weird not being there. ETA Ds is the oldest boy, my friends daughter is the oldest girl. My friend and I were bride and groom too at our teachers wedding almost 30 years ago, so we where looking forward to a repeat of history .

So you are compensated for mileage and car weight (what you transport yourself) for military moves, since they won’t move your cars within in the continental US. So you have to weigh it empty before you leave, then weigh it packed with a full tank 😉 at your destination. ETA: yes, what inthekitty said

flamingo always with a full tank. If I remember correctly we managed to move 1000 pounds in my little Nissan Sentra years ago.

Good morning. I just caught up from Thursday. My work ended at 1 yesterday and I was busy playing with C all afternoon. I forgot one of my favorite summer past times-spraying my kid with the hose! I also cleaned our deck furniture and hope to power wash the deck tomorrow. I slept in until 10:30 today and woke to find out my cousin had her baby. I’m so happy for them since she is AMA and they struggled with miscarriages. It’s going to be off and on rain today so I’m not sure what we will do. jewels I wanted to commiserate with your stress/guilt about opening the circle. My next door neighbors are letting their girls play with C some and I feel like I want to have them sign a waiver since Dh still works. They are fine with it and understand the risks but it feels weird. We are still at a max gathering of 5 people here but the plan is to expand that to 15 on June 1st and I just can’t even imagine that yet.

wedding, our governor said that we could have outside gatherings of up to 25 people. But stay social distancing. so i don't really get that. But regardless, we decided to open it up to that family and we are heading over there tomorrow (assuming the rain lets up). I think it's the right move for all our mental health. Hopefully I won't regret it.

@jeweld starting June 1st that’ll be our rule too, outside groups are allowed, but you still need to keep 5ft (in our case) apart.

I think the last couple we’ve done about 800 in my Volvo but I’m bringing the rooftop carrier this time so we can bulk up lol. And everyone stays in the car during the weighing!

Came to the office to get some stuff done. Starting rearranging since I have so much open space. Decided to move my printer. Hey guys, make sure you check if the bottom paper tray of your printer is attached, or is it just what the main printer base is sitting on. Picked it up, too heavy, not attached, it came crashing down, on my thigh. There is an attorney and his wife upstairs cleaning up his office, so I couldn't scream profanities, instead I just yelled, "seriously?" and kept on going. My thigh is pretty scraped up now and it will likely be a giant bruise, but it isn't actively bleeding, so I'll live. But damn does it hurt. And I still had to move the printer!
I had a friend text to see if Cadence could play. We're still hardcore social distancing, so I had to awkwardly explain that. I shouldn't feel weird about having to tell them no, but I do. Like I don't know who all is taking this seriously or not. According to my nextdoor app there are a lot of people in my neighborhood who feel this is all a conspiracy and wearing masks is a constitutional violation. It really make me want to move, but at the same time I now know why I see so many groups of kids hanging out together. We even saw people on the school playground the other day and Cadence flipped her shit. "That isn't allowed! We aren't allowed on playground equipment right now, we're supposed to be quarantined!!"

On M’s class Zoom, a lot of the kids said they were going to the beach this weekend and a few weren’t there because they were already at the beach. The nurse I was supposed to work with today is in Gulf Shores this weekend, too. I’m glad I am not at the beach this weekend. Seems like a lot of people are going since it’s a long holiday weekend.

I went to Target to get M2 a couple swim diapers for swim lessons. They have swimwear BOGO free so I paid $10 for 2! Score! I didn’t know this before I came here, so I am very pleased. Wanted to share in case anyone else needed to get swim diapers.
ETA: the reusable ones.

Hello. It was supposed to rain all day but after a storm this morning, it cleared up. My crazy children were in the freezing ocean all day yesterday. We got an outdoor griddle today so we are having Hibachi night tonight.

Afternoon, we are having a lazy day here. Mh let me nap after he slept in, which was amazing. And now the big kids are outside playing with the new water table. We may break out the fire pit later, but I suspect that will wait until tomorrow. I think after dinner we will steer into a movie. And I may catch up on some work to knock out something that I just need to finish since it's lingering over me.

Well, Bradley’s bff came over on bikes with his mom to say goodbye and it was the saddest thing I’ve seen in awhile Tears were shed by moms and kids. I’m so glad this is the last move for hopefully a long time. It would be really tough doing this every 2-3 years as the kids grow up.

We are looking at fire pits but the selection is so overwhelming I’m not sure where to start.

We had our first of ?? firedrills this afternoon so I worked over Chase's nap instead of napping myself. Boo. At least it's been a pretty low-key day thanks to the weather.
I feel better than this morning but I have been a bit "off" all day.

We have a solo stove too, a housewarming gift. I think I'm going to be in charge of setting it next time bc my husband can't seem to figure it out, but the YouTube video makes it seem pretty easy.

I keep thinking that it would be nice to stay here for a long while- like 10 years or so. I’m sure I would like a different city eventually, but I’m content with where we are right now and it would be great if we could stay for a while. As they get older I could see moving being really hard for the boys.
