I woke up at 330 this morning and ran 2.3 miles and I’m about to “clock in” to work. L’s caterpillar is in its chrysalis and E’s is still eating away. Otherwise SSDD over here.

Wow chrisy01! You're doing great at getting up early and running. I can't get up early to run. Motivation is my biggest thing and mine is lacking! I'm super annoyed with work right now and doing everything I can to not send an email letting everyone know. I did email my boss about it, so she is aware. I'm hoping for an easy quiet day, so I can mow the yard since it's supposed to rain tomorrow and my nephews wedding is Saturday. MIL is having surgery tomorrow, so I have to leave the house at 5am with Evie to go pick her up and get her to the hospital by 6. I just have to drop her at the entrance, no one can come in with her. She's having surgery for a stomach ulcer, so it's nothing life threatening, but they're keeping her overnight and I can tell she's nervous about it.

mwhip I’ve been waking up early for some unknown reason and since I’ve put on some weight and my real work clothes are uncomfortable to wear I decided to try and do something about it. I’m hoping to do a Zumba thing with L this afternoon to get a little bit more in. The hard part for me is finding places to run/jog. I was heading to the police training area like I did Monday but there was some scary looking dude screaming at himself on the way there so I turned around and did laps around my townhome complex. It’s hard to find well lit and safe places right now without driving somewhere.

I started the ease into a 5k app this week. Let's just say running in 85 degree weather is not delightful. Once M's camp starts in June I'll either need to wake up early or go after the kids are in bed.

Morning. My back is still killing me. It got so bad last night, I got nauseous from the pain. I went to work this morning, but called it quits around noon. I called my midwife on the after hours line, I can start taking painkillers (ones you can take during pregnancy) every 4 hours in stead of every six and can call a PT tomorrow. I really really hope this is one of my stress induced backaches that I have a few times a year and last a few days, and not the onset of pregnancy related back problems already. Sorry for the rant.

It’s hard to find well lit and safe places right now without driving somewhere. Finding a safe, not boring route, is so important to keeping the motivation. I run laps around my neighborhood. It's a .6 mile loop. It's boring. But I'm on a sidewalk (unless someone else is walking) and there isn't that much traffic in my neighborhood. I have ran to a little development not far from us, but I have to get on a pretty busy road to get there for maybe 1/4 mile, so it's not something I do often. Definitely wouldn't want some dude screaming at himself on my route! tgrimes no way to running in 85 degrees. It was 60 yesterday when I ran and I was in a tank top and capris, I was so hot!

Morning! Beautiful day today so we will be outside as much as possible. I'm going to do BBM day for in a bit to get it out of the way. Then I'll make my favorite breakfast...a slice of toast with strawberry jam, egg whites (with lots of pepper) and a thin sliced if swiss. Yum. Yum. Yum.

I’m sorry about the back pain nam2013, I hope it gets better soon. PT really helped me during my pregnancy with B, if you get that far. I’m impressed with the early morning runs! Running has always been a means to an end for me, I just can’t do it without a coach requiring it for conditioning, etc. I really want to get back into tennis this summer or fall, I feel like 35 hit and my rear end started falling 😫

Morning!
SSDD here. More cleaning and online school. DH is currently scrubbing the grill and doing some yard work so thankfully B is outside with him...if only I could prod C into joining them.
Unrelated, I fell down the kitchen table rabbit hole (which of course will require new chairs, sorry H) and then started looking at counter/bar stools. Naturally I seem to zero in on expensive ones...I need to come up with some dupes or it’s Goodbye, monies.

I live in suburbia so there are plenty of decent routes to run in my neighborhood. But I'm not like Forrest Gump so I rarely just feel like running. Our trail that leads to the sound is beautiful though and about 4.5 miles round trip.
Dammit, now I might have to run for exercise today...or maybe tomorrow. I'll probably stick with HIT exercises while watching Lost.

wineallthetime that sounds so good. Like a baby Monte Cristo. Swiss is the only cheese I don't like though so I'd swap it out for gouda or havarti.

chrisy01 caterpillars questions--do you need much more than the cup they come in? I was going to get a small plastic animal carrier to set them up in because as soon as they become butterflies I plan to let them go. I've seen kits with just a plastic cup and others with a big mesh case. What do you have?

inthekitty We just got the cups from the museum and the instructions say to get a shoe box so they can have a few days to strengthen before releasing. We bought the mesh thing so L and E can see them before we release them. L wants to release them at the same time too. But the museum said a shoebox would be fine.
I think this maybe a yearly thing for us so that’s why we got the mesh thing. If we didn’t think we would do this again a shoebox would work. I can take a photo of the instructions they gave us.

Awesome. I'll order the mesh thing then. I also found a kit to order tadpoles. So tempting. I adore frogs and we have a pond full of them in our neighborhood to eventually release them. 🐸

Not only was she hot, but she was sweaty. Then her face itched. Her finger hurt. I was going too fast. I was going too slow.

Ok. You guys inspired/shamed me into a run. I did 3.5 miles. Our neighborhood is such a nice place for it.
Came home and M was watching The Twilight Zone.
