I have 2 extra kids today and it seriously amazes me how having more makes it easier. They play so much better! And less fighting. M has a virtual field trip right now. Its actually pretty neat but I sure wish we could have gone.

I got my yard mowed. Being able to work from home and do things like that during the day are great. Otherwise, I'd have been stressing about getting it done before the rain.
Evie's picking the lock on her toy cash register with a hair pin. This is considered school in my house...important life lesson. Don't lose your keys!

Hey. I’ve been cleaning the kitchen while the girls have been fighting off and on all morning. I invited some friends to come over to play this afternoon so I want my house to look presentable. It rained this morning and has been overcast and humid all day. I just want sun!
I need to do a little venting for a second. DH’s parents asked us if we could store their 1/2 pig and some portion of a cow in our deep freeze. They have 2 deep freezes themselves, so why the heck did they buy so much meat if they don’t have to room. My guess is they have some very old, freezer burnt stuff they need to get rid of. We have the room so it’s fine but I just don’t get it.

trtlcrzy that stuff doesn't last forever. I went through our deep freeze and our garage fridge/freezer before I bought a bunch last weekend and got rid of all the old. No way we could go thorugh 2 1/2 deep freezers in a year. We an barely go through half a cow in a year. Is your storage fee to be able to eat it until they get it out of they way?

Eye-roll at your ILs trtlcrzy. It'll be interesting to see when they claim the portion you're storing. Prepare to hang onto it for...a long time. Mine always bring us crap for our freezer...frozen soup and whatnot. I am really not a freezer person; like, I don't really do make-ahead casseroles, I don't want to defrost soup, etc. So anything they bring ends up going to waste. |

Hi all, the kids have an obstacle course for the stuffed puppies around the house and j has his aftercare zoom jeopardy game shortly.
I'm impressed by all this running, I haven't run in years and not sure I trust my pelvic floor right now.. it used to be so normal since I used to run a half marathons regularly..now a mile seems ambitious.

I had an early work day and finally off. We’re about to FaceTime M’s buddy, then he is going for a haircut and I’m going to an appointment to discuss my kitchen makeover.
I’m so glad the end of the week is near. I do have to work Saturday, but then two glorious days off!

Hi! I had to read on web view again. Super annoying.
We finished up school quickly this am and have been outside all day. I put out one of last summer’s dresses for Josie this morning and it looks like a cheerleading uniform on her— so short. She’s totally in between sizes. She needs the length of something a tiny bit shorter than a 7/8, the waist of 5/6.
I placed 4 orders today in the hopes of something sticking (old navy, lands end, Amazon’s spotted zebra and h&m)

I'm so annoyed. I got a ton of work done today despite constant interruptions from my family. I was about done and ready to enjoy the long weekend when I got an email regarding my security clearance application. I have to respond in 7 days, of course it's a holiday weekend so people won't be in office, and what I needed to do was very vague and unclear but apparently there about 40 items I need to respond to. Grr. So I won't have a full break tomorrow.

Hiiiii. Work has been insane between our launch and a huge implementation everyone is helping out with. It's going really well but I swear it's a blur from about 7:30 in the morning until 5:30/6 in the evening. I cut myself off at that point, I need to spend time with the boys.
But all this talk of running makes me so happy!! Haha. I'm in the burbs, maybe more rural? This time of year is great because it's light by 5am and the roads are quiet (no sidewalks). But it's dark and creepy as hell most of the year, especially since the area is heavily wooded.
On a not fun note, my Dad ended up in the hospital this past weekend. Congestive heart failure, likely from the chemo though apparently tumors near the heart can also factor in. No more cancer treatment, he's just too unstable. I need to have my brother talk to the doctor to get an honest take on what his prognosis is. My Mom thinks he has at most a couple months, but she has the tendency to diagnose, so I don't know what to think. I haven't said much to the kids but if this is it, I need to start explaining it to them.
