Morning. I’m exhausted. We drove to TN yesterday and bought a boat. Then today I’m driving to St. Louis for 2 dr appts for me. I usually stay at my parents house but not this trip. So they are going to meet me for lunch in a parking lot somewhere 😂. We haven’t got to visit in person since Jan or Feb. can’t remember. They will be disappointed not to see the kiddo though. But she’s staying home with MH.

Ugh, pregnancy back pain is the worst, @nam! Yes and it starts so freakin early! And I know it’ll only get worse...luckily with both kids it was gone almost straight after giving birth 🤞🏻. |

Morning ladies! Since Evie stayed with MIL last night, I got up and ran this morning. So that's done. We have someone coming to stain our deck today. And I have to go into the office to help my boss this afternoon.
Other than that, nothing exciting here.

Today’s big adventure: C has a haircut appt. I talked to her about wearing a mask and she’s game so hopefully this will work, it’ll be her first outing since March 12.
Otherwise I have some phone calls to make but that’s about it. It’s gloomy and super windy here, today would be a perfect day to take the kids to a movie.

We have a funeral at 1 today. A's uncle died Friday. They are having an outdoor social distancing service. My mom is keeping the kids and there's no meal after. His widow didn't want anything as she's just distraught. Of course A's grandma (who is the widows mom, not the deceased) is having something but A wants to respect his aunts wishes so we're not going.
Idk what we'll do the rest of the day.

flamingo Evie loves wearing a mask. I have to talk to her regularly about not taking it off and on, but since she sees me do it, she's all about it! And I'm so jealous of her hair appointment. I had an appointment scheduled for 4/3, which got cancelled. My stylist was able to go back to the salon Monday. She sent me a text Sunday asking if I just wanted to leave my appointment for 6/6. Well, yeah, i guess. But I have a family wedding Saturday that I'm sure we will do some family pictures. So she's going to try to squeeze me in tomorrow. I have everything crossed because I don't know that I've ever gone this long between touch ups.

I just saw my grandparents for the first time in 4 months. We didn’t go inside, just waved and chatted a little in the hallway/stairwell of their apparent building. My grandma had put out a little picknick for the kids (with of course two bags of sweets in stead of one per kid). She sang with the kids, is wasn’t long, but I missed her. I’m just crying my eyes out in the car, stupid hormones.

I usually get it done every 6-8 weeks, depending on what color I have it. In winter, I go darker. But I know the last time I went, I had a lot of highlights put in, which makes the growth look that much worse. If I had a root drag or Balayage last time, it wouldn't bother me as bad. My boss just keeps reminding me to be thankful I'm not full of grays. |

Good morning from the doctors office. My appt was at 9:45...and it’s now 10:09 and I’m still waiting. I’m going to be real annoyed if this is how it’s going to be from here on out. I dropped my kids off with my dad and step mom. They were super excited to go but for some reason H got very upset and didn’t want me to leave. She’s fine and I’m sure having lots of fun now.

trtlcrzy I was just reading something about kids being more clingy since all :this: started--psychological/biological reasons, something about stress yada yada; I have definitely noticed it in B (more so than C.) Of course at this very moment he is not being clingy, just annoying and stubborn. We are truly going to be limping over the school finish line...might have some combat wounds or scars 🤪

flamingo the cling factor is real in this house. And she just lost her shit when I told her after next week she would be done with kindergarten. "NOT FAIR!!!" Don't I know it kid. I did get her a cute kindergarten graduate t-shirt off of Etsy though, it should be here in the next couple of days.

I want to get in on the caterpillar bandwagon so I'm trying to see if I can get them from some place local. I think it would be fun.
It's drizzly and dreary out. I already walked doggo so I kind of welcome this weather as an excuse to bunker down.

lfig enjoy the boat. We were thinking about getting one this summer but I think we are putting it off until next year just to be sure DH’s job stays safe with this mess. Also, we know nothing about boats so lots to learn. I kinda want a one person jet ski for just me to go out on the bay. My college boyfriend had a few and they were so much fun.
