I have no creativity.  Everyday is the same.

At least I think it's Thursday...

I'm pretty positive it's Thursday. Evie has a video call with her teacher and all the girls in her class this afternoon. Immediately after that, I need to head to work to help my boss print checks and swap out some paperwork. It's kind of the highlight of my week. I put on make up and jeans.

MIL is coming around 11 to take Evie to get lunch, then will have her back for her call. I actually asked her if she would be here around 2:15 to take her after her call, so I wouldn't have to take her into the office, but she suggested lunch. Okay. I told H last night, I think she's losing her mind or something. That was the 2nd thing she did yesterday that annoyed me.

FIL is having open heart surgery today to repair a stent and clear 6 blockages. SMIL could be with him pre-op, then when he's in recovery, but once they take him to ICU, she has to leave and won't see him until she picks him up in a week or so. I feel awful for her. I usually sit with her when he's in the hospital, to make sure she understands what's going on, but I can't.

Oh, and my favorite little boutique reopened yesterday. I think when MIL picks E up, I'm going to go shop a little. I want something pretty and want to support this small business owner who hasn't been open for almost 2 months. She posted things she is doing to keep her store and customers safe and I will wear a mask.

I have almost a physical craving to shop. I’ve ordered a few things online but it’s been mostly stuff the kids needed (replacement swimsuits, etc). Wandering around Dillard’s or Home Goods and just browsing sounds amazing right now.

Hi, from the office. I'm stalking our elementary school website today for their after school care packets. We're supposed to submit them electronically beginning today but they're having issues loading the documents. FX I can get it in soon enough so we have a spot for the fall.

Carters took forever. I placed a second order and wised up and paid for express shipping. Otherwise the stuff I’ve ordered has been ok—maybe a couple days longer than normal—except for something for my mom from Talbots. MIL’s gift came on time but my mother’s is trapped in their warehouse in Mass. and apparently cannot be shipped. So hopefully she’ll get it in time for next summer 😂

Yes I have a Gap order that has yet to ship. It hasn’t been a month just yet, but still. So annoying.

I think my Costco runs have been filling that void. I will sometimes browse there because it’s not crowded and it’s easy to keep away from people. I do go to Target sometimes, but I don’t browse there like usual.

At work all day doing screening. It’s not too busy. Its supposed to rain this afternoon. Hopefully it stops before it gets dark so the kids can have some outside time.

Speaking of shopping, Sephora sent me a 20% off code so I’ve been filling a cart. It’s good timing because I have been looking at more skincare topics/bloggers and I need a few products. I’m glad I didn’t get anything for the sale now because 20 percent is better than 10.

I also scheduled my hair appt for first week of June. Can’t wait.

If the girls finish their work at a reasonable time we're going to return to the nursery we went to earlier in the week. Maddie thinks she left a stuffy there.

Hi guys. I was super crabby/ in a mood yesterday. I did not do top notch parenting. We just stayed home all day and the kids watched a lot of tv. Feeling much better today. It’s supposed to be 70 today so we will get outside and enjoy the fresh air this afternoon. Baby feels really low today so I will be sitting in a lawn chair.

The day started out fun, Dd had preschool today. So I set up a mini date with ds, Dh and me. I got croissant and apple cider with a straw and ds said it felt just like a restaurant. I had to work today, is DH’s day off, but it is very busy and he was crabby that I was working. He just came to apologise, so all is well now, but we’ve had cozier days .

At the girls' school they have weekly packets printed out you can pick up on Mondays (you can do everything online but it's much easier for them to have their own worksheets, less for me to help them with everything on the computer, they get writing practice, and we only have 1 laptop for them to share). The 2nd grade team is on it. The packets are great. They are organized by day and easy for Maddie to see what she needs to do on her own. The K packets are a mess. Worksheets are totally random so you have to figure out which ones for which day. And for some stupid reason this week's packet included just the optional specials stuff. All the required worksheets are online. What a waste of paper because we typically skip the extras.

One more month, one more month...

First update on FIL is good, they expect to be in surgery until 2:30, but she said she will get more calls with updates.

I just found out I return to work 6/1 and we will start 4 - 10 hour shift.

Today for school Cadence did her online graph assignment and now she is writing a letter to Grandma and a letter to her girl scout penpal. Then I'll have her do her sight word flash cards. Basically I'm phoning it in from bed cause I'm not in the mood.

Today is our cat Sunshine's gotcha day. We got her 4 years ago. She's not having the best time though because she has this weird wound on the back of her neck that I have no idea how she got. It's healing now with medication, but I feel bad for her.
