Things suck more than usual today. I can’t keep going with this shit at the expense of my mental health. Big hugs. A friend of mine here is a counselor at a local private high school; mental health--for both children and adults, but esp. teens--has been her concern since the outset of all this and I've seen some really insightful articles, debate, etc. via her FB posts. I feel like we (society) need to be talking about this aspect of the shut-down more than we are, b/c it is just as critical as the economic piece in terms of reopening and resuming everyday life. |

So for the last week or so, B has been hiding C's toothbrush and toothpaste around the bathroom. Inevitably, DH or I discover it's missing, find it (usually in the bathtub or somewhere random), get on to B, rinse and repeat.
Just now C comes storming into the kitchen: "WHO PUT MY TOOTHPASTE UNDER THE BATHROOM RUG?" Very. serious. business. Dh and I are laughing, call B in, he sheepishly confesses. I'm not sure what's funnier, the righteous indignation from the 3 y.o. over her missing items, or the fact that B is attempting these little mind-games. This is one of those times I am probably not the best parent, b/c I just find the whole thing so amusing that I really can't muster enough motivation to do anything about it.
I guess I will just hide B's toothbrush.

cagoldi, sorry you are struggling. As others have said, this is hard under the best of circumstances. I, too, cant recall, is T back? I know you said he was super helpful before.

I went to the little boutique. I tried on a pretty dress, but told the owner that I was going to wait. I was thinking about it for my nephews wedding, but it depends on what the weather is like next weekend. In KS, it could snow, be hot AF, rain, tornado, it's really a toss up. I hate to spend money on a dress that I might not wear. Then I felt bad for not buying it and now she has to steam clean it.
I did get myself a new pair of earrings and grabbed a pair of flipflops my mom had commented that she wanted.

My day has been crazy. We have someone being released from prison in another state but resides here so he has to be quarantined for two weeks per the Governors executive orders. Long story short he has nowhere to quarantine and I had to find a hotel to take him. Huge pain in the butt. I think it’s all set now with just one thing the hotel needs to send me.
I did run out and get some stuff at BJs and Target. I am set for a long time with toilet paper and hand sanitizer now! It was also the first time I went shopping where I was able to get everything on my list.

R's girlfriend broke up with him. I'm bummed, I liked her. I'm waiting on the scoop.. A told me and of course he didn't ask questions so now I'm waiting on R to tell me so I can ask questions lol.

It’s not in line with the other two one bit and Dh hates it😂. ETA we are team green, so we need two first names and two middle names, that are pronounceable in Dutch/English/Norwegian and will not mean anything funny in all three languages... |

We always joke that a name should not create a giggle when introduced yourself as a bankmanager, but also work when you’re an artist of some kind. ETA not sure if that makes any sense 😂. |

Yesterday Cass had been digging through my hope chest and pulled out an old baby outfit I saved. She managed to squeeze herself partially into an 18m outfit. Lolz. She needed help getting free.

Love that it's a feminine name but she can use the Jo as a nickname. That was kind of our thought with L's name. Luella is feminine but we typically call her Lue (or LueLue). We briefly discussed just naming her Lou. |
