I'm so annoyed with Cass' teacher. For the 3rd week in a row her social Zoom meeting failed. She was really looking forward to seeing her classmates. We commented on the meet invite that the password wasn't working but never got a response. I have no clue if it's just us or if she actually meets with anyone.

I spent the morning cleaning, putting away laundry and refereeing the kids. I am ready to sell them to the highest bidder. I can’t ask them to do a simple task, like clean up after themselves, without all the whining and complaining. No, not in the mood. They’re having quiet time right now and then I think we are going to the Starbucks drive thru to get me coffee.

So my last nights social hour on zoom the owner of the meeting had to be signed in before I could sign in.

We tried over an over again. Including until about 10 minutes after the meeting was supposed to start. So if it was going we should have been able to get in. :/

Hi. It’s rainy today. I had a Google Meet with my students to review area of irregular figures at the same time DH, DD, and T had meetings. DD’s was a scavenger hunt so she was running all over. T’s video wasn’t working so he was crying. C blew up his diaper and was wrestling T’s broken computer from him. One of my student’s mother is also a teacher (and mother of 11!) so I was hearing her teach her class and her husband helping their other kids. It was a very long hour.

There is a lot of talk around here of sending only k-5 back to school in the fall. They would use the middle and high school buildings to spread out the elementary kids and keep 6-12 on distance learning. No word on staffing but I’m thinking I will be pushed down to elementary because I am certified. Elementary kids aren’t bussed here so that wouldn’t be a problem like it would be for middle or high school. I’m sure there will be complaints no matter what but a plan like this would allow adults to return to work for the most part. Should be interesting to see what happens.

I don’t like that, although i would get more done with work if my kids were at school. But i really want to go back to work! I miss my colleagues.

TGIF...I took the day off and it wasn't all that much different than a work day, but I did enjoy just watching a British baking show in the middle of the day and then we made a carrot cake from scratch. I also just picked up some paint supplies to prime the bathroom tonight after bedtime and some paint chips to pick which color to order tomorrow.

I should have done like a lot of you did this week and took today off. The one day I have to be somewhere is the one day the power goes out in the hospital. It really wasn’t bad because we were just done with our last patient, but I had to try to figure out how to finish the images and data and the scanner flipped out once we got power back. I had to leave without finishing it and now I’m uneasy about it. I hate leaving stuff undone. If this was any other Friday I would have waited around longer, but we needed to get on the road.

My kids look like they're having a yard sale. They have been laying on blankets in the front yard, their suitcases full of clothes out there (pretending like they're going to Disneyland), Kindles, and about a million stuffies. One is only wearing a bathing suit. I don't even care because they are keeping themselves entertained.

Nope. I’m the closer on Friday’s. They all leave at 11 and it’s just me and 1 nurse until 2pm. The weekend tech will have to finish it. I hate that I had to leave “work” for her.

I think it actually mattrts if you shred the carrots yourself. It adds a much needed moisture. I also don’t always add the nuts in and it’s fine.

My kids are such northwesterners. It's roasting here--all the way up to the mid-70s so poor Maddie got too much heat and threw up after being outside all afternoon. She's fine and currently cooling down on the couch watching The Simpsons. But yeah, mid-70s do my kids in.

MH is picking up a curbside order from Michael's (buying my own Mother's Day craft for the kids to make me) and then dinner from the German Diner. Yum.

We made it. We went through a bit of rain, but wasn’t too bad.

flamingo it was pretty good, but apparently I'm the only fan in my family, ha. I left mh in charge of taking it out of the oven and I think it's a touch dry. I just did the first recipe I found that I had all the ingredients for, which was Betty crocker (I was shocked she didn't call for a mix)

I make one from hummingbird bakery. I think it’s funny that you sometimes see carrot cake being called ‘Dutch carrot cake’. There’s nothing Dutch about a carrot cake 😂.
