Guys we are getting snow Saturday morning! WTF is going on with this world! Incurable viruses, murder hornets, mixed up seasons! What could possibly be next?! Wow. We really are doing our best jumanji outtake in 2020. When I saw high 60s for us Saturday I was annoyed, but I would be downright MAD about snow.

I made Tollhouse cookies this afternoon, then we had pizza and watched Babe tonight. Love that movie.
DH got his waiver approved today--they decided he is "mission essential" -- so we are outta here this month! Will not be sorry to see this house and state in my rear view mirror.
We have some family friends whose child married into some major family money. This couple is my age, so mid-30s, and just built a house at the beach in my hometown. I have been dying to know how it turned out. I randomly came across something on Instagram tonight, put 2 and 2 together, and did a deep dive. I feel like a stalker but oh my word, it is impeccable. In my next life I'm coming back with a trust fund.

Anyone have experience with a deep cut inside lip/mouth. The boys were playing outside back yard and M2 started crying and came running in with blood gushing down his mouth. I didn’t see what happened and from what I could get from M, he fell in the yard. Looks like he hit the ground pretty hard because his chin is visibly bruised and it looks like his teeth sliced into the inside of his bottom lip. It looks kinda deep from what he let me see, but everything I’m reading on Dr. Google says mouth wounds heal themselves. Just wondering if there is such a thing as a steri strip/wound glue for the mouth and if we should seek medical attention in the AM?

We don't have snow, thankfully, but jeans and sweaters in May is just not ok. I'm so over this spring, lol.

lahdeedah Yikes! Poor kid. Mouth stuff is so painful but yeah, I've always heard mouth injuries heal really quickly. I don't know what they would do if it needed attention, though. Hopefully it'll look better in the morning!

Ouch! Poor kid lahdeedah. I hope he heals quickly. Sorry, no advice. If the bleeding has stopped I'd probably just see what it looks like on the morning.

Wow re: the NW weather. Conversely it's going to be hot here (80). That's way hotter than usual for this time of year.

lahdeedah I don't think you do anything unless it goes all the way through the lip, but I'm not positive. Hopefully it heals quickly! You might have him rinse his mouth out after he eats for the next couple of days just to keep the area clean.

I’d probably check it in the morning lahdeedah and if it doesn’t look good call the Dr and see if you can send a pic or something.

lahdeedah I took my oldest to the ER for a cut like you described when he was just about 3. They gave him an ice pop and sent us home, saying there was nothing they could do, they do not stitch inside the mouth unless it’s very severe. It all worked out because it ended a pacifier addiction. Hope he feels better soon.

He would whine every once in a while, so I called my SIL. She put me in contact with her FIL- retired family medicine and texted her BFF who is a dentist. They both say same as you all. Some type of antiseptic to keep bacteria low and ice/popsicles to keep swelling down. Care for it the next few days to try to keep it from getting infected. He won’t be going to daycare tomorrow.

Really late to this, but a couple years ago my tooth went through my skin below my bottom lip. I went to the doctor and they basically did nothing. He said if the wound was gaping then he would have put in a stitch but since it was closed it should heal on it’s own. It actually healed really fast, I was very surprised. Mouth wounds bleed a lot but generally are ok after that.

I would also keep an eye on his teeth to make sure he didn’t injure the root. I was told to look for that also.
