I’m currently waiting to clock in for work in a couple of minutes. In an hour I leave to do some work on property for the rest of the day. It’s going to be another hot day today. I just hope I can stay inside the buildings for most of the day.

Cold and rainy here. Sigh.

The summer camp I was planning for B posted today that they aren’t going to be offering day camp, just smaller (and more expensive!) specialized camps (robotics, dance, etc). The ones B is eligible for age-wise that still have availability don’t really seem like stuff he’d enjoy all day for a week. Our new neighborhood has summer camp but we won’t be eligible to sign up til we close on the house mid-June. So I’m turning over stones this morning looking for alternates.

Meanwhile DH is going in to work for a bit.

Yesterday was a bad day. Hoping today is better. Mallory is pretty much walking and I'm just 😭😭😭

I started the Mindy Kahling show and really like it.

I think Working Moms is ok. It has some funny moments. Some of the characters really annoy me and make bad choices. It's definitely better than most shows.

I need to force myself to finish the last 10 episodes or so I have of The Office.

flamingo Bummer! I was looking at camps again yesterday hoping something new had popped up, but nada. The specialty camps are more expensive and the ones here are only half day. Hope you find something he will like.

Hi. I’m sitting at the car dealership waiting on MH to pick me up. Oil change and recall fixes being done on my car. Today I’ll just be cleaning around the house.

What are y’all getting your moms for Mother’s Day? I need ideas. My usual GC game is hindered by everything being closed. My mom doesn’t care to shop online for her shoes and clothes and whatnot. I thought about an indoor plant for her to bring to her office from the boys, but can’t seem to think of anything else.

I was just thinking that I should have just decided to wait here all day. It’s lovely. They have three separate very nice waiting rooms and I’m the only one here. I don’t want to go home. 😂

We had a crazy day yesterday, my aunt was hospitalised with a fever, extreme pain in her stomach and constant vomiting, turns out it she had gall stones & an infected gallbladder. She was tested for corona too, negative fortunately. She had surgery last night, she’s doing well and was discharged this morning.

We took the kids to the forest, it was nice to walk in the woods. Quiet day else wise.

@lahdeehdah we’re having a box of fresh scones delivered. If your comfortable with deliveries maybe a nice breakfast or something like that? We’ll take both my parents out for Mother’s Day/father’s day when possible again.

I ordered both moms new tops from Talbots (they both shop there); my MIL's was less expensive so I added an insulated wine tumbler. 

My MIL has sent me e-gift cards to me from stores I like in the past via email. They could print out and use in an actual store. So if you get desperate...! 

A potted orchid would be nice. 

I gave my mom some of the l'Occitane almond-scented shower oil at Valentine's Day and she loved it, so I gave my MIL a gift set for her birthday and that was a hit, too. Not something they'd buy for themselves. I think they have free shipping and Nordstrom carries it, too.

nam2013 Yikes! Your poor aunt...wishing her a smooth recovery. I know a couple people who have had that surgery recently and both seemed to recover fairly easily.

These are so handy. I’m not a big perfume girl, so I often only use 1/4 of the bottle before it expires. They are perfect for travel too! Pivoine is their peonies line, but they have them in other scents too.

B had his weekly class Zoom meeting; it’s teacher appreciation week so the room mom asked that everyone make ‘thank you’ signs for the teachers to hold up at the end of the meeting. Cue the tears...both teachers started crying, I started crying...lol. All those little voices were so sweet.

It got slow in a couple of the middle episodes but it definitely pulled it around. I think if you like pop music it would certainly hold your attention.

So. My doctor was running an hour late so I was there forever. I told her I had been having BH and cramping so she checked my cervix and I’m 1cm dilated. The nurse gave me a steroid shot and I have to go for a second one tomorrow. I was instructed to chill out, lol.
