I have a question that is off topic and I apologize for that. Given this board’s knowledge and experience with physical..... enhancements, I thought it might be a good place to ask. I have very thin hair, though what I do have is healthy. I would like to try maybe some extensions to thicken it for times I’d like to try a fancy braid or cute boho styles. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best hair extension brand? And what’s better; clip in, tape, wefts, halo? I don’t really want to do anything that would require going to a hairdresser. Thanks! I have tape in extensions, and I have to have them moved up every 8-10 weeks by my stylist. I've heard taking them out is super easy, but I always just have her do it. It would be very hard to place them on yourself though. I have no experience with anything else, but just wanted to say the tape ins aren't low maintenance or good for temporary. So I hope that helps some 🤣

downwarddog I did have clip in extensions yearssss ago and I liked them. I cant remember the exact brand but I just bought them from Sally's. I would use them for weddings and stuff so that may actually be a good option for you

downwarddog I used to use clip-in extensions I got at Sally's and I absolutely loved them. I wore them all the time. I don't remember the brand, but they were real hair and cost about $90 for 8 pieces (7? 8?).

Thanks! I’ve done clip-ins, tape-ins, and beaded wefts. Tape-ins and wefts definitely require professional installation. Yes you can find YouTube videos of people DIYing but I wouldn’t do it. Clip-ins are your best option for occasional use. I still have the set I bought from Sally’s in 2007. I know the halo is more of an occasional use but I don’t have any personal experience with it.

I have already told you how this A list singer/bad actor and his significant other are treating their assistants during this quarantine. As it turns out though, even though with a team in place, it was still too much for them to not fly another nanny up to their location to help out even more

downwarddog I’ve done everything: hair by Chrissy, tape ins, great lengths, clip ins. Great Lengths are always my favorite. I go back to them again and again. I have them in my hair now. But they require a hair dresser. Clip-ins are what you’re looking for if you want to do them yourself. I could never get on board with them because I never felt like mine looked 100%. I never enjoyed putting them in.

I’m skeptical of paying more for the name brands, a friend of mine paid like $600 for hair and she said it’s crap and my amazon hair looked better. But it doesn’t last very long, I can get maybe three months out of the hair I’ve been buying. I’m willing to pay more if it lasts longer. One of my BFFs is a hair stylist and puts them in for me for next to nothing.

I’ve done everything and I always go back to it. It feels like my own hair, I can’t tell what’s my hair and what’s the extension. I’ve been using Great Lengths for 15 years and I don’t have a single complaint, except it’s pricey. But it’s literally the best. Also, it lasts minimum of 6 months for me. Usually 9-10 months. And I can go longer. But then I get over it and want a break from it.

I’ll have to check into it.

I'm laughing at the Timberbiel household. I imagine them putting on Trolls and it either isn't working or their kid wants it a million times.

Thank you all!! This was super helpful and I’m glad I asked here. I may be willing to get something requiring a hairdresser if they lasted more than a few months! I will def check out some of these.

The higher in line of succession royal straight up threw shade at his younger relative. The higher one said he would love to serve and do more for the country, but can't because of all the extra work he has to do on other things since the younger one is no longer helping out the country.

You have to buy it through a rep.

In case anyone was wondering, the third guy is her gardener. Martha Stewart is quarantined with her GARDENER.

Martha makes them dinner and drinks every night. Not a bad place to be quarantined.

I forgot to send our friends with the cancelled wedding something. The wedding would have been this weekend. I remembered I used Goldbelly to send things to friends in the past. It’s a really cool concept, they ship known items from famous places across the country: banana bread from HI, cakes from Cake Boss, cheesesteaks from Geno’s, etc. So I sent them bagels, lox and cream cheese from a spot we used to go to in the city. I had to pay $20 to get it there by Saturday, but it’s fine, my bad on forgetting. I sent my mom and MIL flowers but I figured I should send them something. So I sent them both pie samplers from a pie place in the city. Again $30 shipping, but I get it’s in 2 days. I think I’m going to send my grandmothers some shit because they’re sad and lonely. Just a tip if anyone needs to send last minute gifts for this weekend. And I think I can send you a sign up bonus thing. Let me look. Either way, it’s a cool idea for gifts for people. Everyone loves food. And if they don’t, I don’t understand. I’ve heard of them and they pop up on my FB adds because I’ve looked them up. The restraint I’ve had to have to not ship myself baked good is very high. I’ve been looking at the Carlos bakery ones but there is a small shop at the mall in the next stare(15minutes away) and a small one at the casino we go to that I also get cupcakes and cookies at when we go.
