We're headed over to see our new nephew this morning. It will be a test for my ovaries! I'm also picking up some sushi for sil because that's what she missed the most while pregnant and I'm the bigger person. But I'm still going to be like:

judyblume14 a week with no hot water?! No thank you. I guess you could pretend you're camping? Stock up on alcohol.

Good morning, super tired today. R woke up early, but only because he went to bed early. I realized this morning when finding a new onesie for him that he is growing very fast and I mostly just have sleepers in his next size up. Fun fact, the kid has the sweatiest feet and hasn't worn pjs in about 4 months. I guess I need to go to target and maybe the thrift store soon to sort that out.

Lakes, I've been quietly lurking in the background but I need to get better about posting. Thanks for checking in! DD turned 6 months on the 5th. We've been introducing some purees and so far haven't found anything that she won't eat. Poor girl fell asleep waiting for her shots yesterday at her appointment so that was a bit of a rude awakening but she only cried until I could pick her up and then she was smiling at the nurses who poked her. In big kid news, this mama has had an emotional week. DS's (4yo) Pre-K school calendar was uploaded and his first day is Aug 21. I can't believe he's going to be in school It will be an interesting day for sure because we are now located in an area that will be between 90%-full solar eclipse that day and he'll be let out when the eclipse is passing over us. My brother is coming up to visit to see the eclipse though so he'll get to go with us to drop DS off which does makes my heart happy. Since our mom passed away, he has become such a doting uncle and, even though it was pure coincidence, I'm glad he'll be here for this milestone.

Boo to tapa for still not updating. It's cramping my style. I have both kids for the day because DH has guys working. This is starting to be the norm which I'm not sure I'm happy about. On the one hand, it's good for DHs business and occasionally the guys are working to improve our place, but on the other it's sad to only ever have Sunday's as family days. Yum sushi. I had some last night and it was delish Lakes!

Hey Lakes, thanks for the tag! I've hardly gotten a chance to lurk lately never mind post. I miss you guys and am not caught up at all. Hope everyone is well? Being back at work has been tough for so many reasons and changes to my department have made it an unhappy place to be so takes a lot of time and energy. If things don't improve I need to consider a move which is a little scary. H turned 6 months on 6/30. I can't believe how quickly time has gone. We missed his well check this week, swapped for a sick visit as the poor guy had a fever of 103.5 for 4 days. Vomiting, diahorrea, congestion and now an ear infection. He's on antibiotics and doing better. He's about 18lb and I don't know how long but LONG! 2 teeth came in a few weeks ago and while hes not officially crawling (firwards) the guy gets around. Everywhere. Still not STTN though, or even close. Aside from that he's such a happy chap though. If tapa works I'll try to post a pic later. DS1 continues to be a great big brother. He also got sick yesterday so we had our first day together on our own since before H was born. Even though he was sick, we had a lovely day. I miss that so need to try and do it more often. Just at the park before a shopping marathon whole DH does more renovations on our house. Never ending. Hope to try and post more often

All signs point to ovulation cramps. I'm displeased.
I guess they can increase/you notice more after pregnancy? I've never really had them before. But I had some last month and now. But I didn't have my usual awful day before period cramps with my first pp period so trade off?

It's been a busy day, I ran some errands this morning, it was hot and tiring. I sometimes wonder if how much H would be able to accomplish if I wasn't around. E was still napping H took a nap, left dishes and bottles in the sink, a full trash can.... I could go on but I won't. We went out to BJ's a wholesale store to stock up on some stuff. It was E's first trip shopping and being in a shopping cart. She did so well.
I had a dream last night I was very very pregnant.... I also had a dream about North Korea not sure if it was the same dream. We always seem to plan our outtings during the worst times and it conflicts with naps.

inomniaparatus I'm so jealous you're in the path of the eclipse! I can't even imagine my first born going to pre-k 😭 I'm sending you all of the internet tissues for that milestone. I'm sorry the kids have been sick and work sucks bazinga. peaseblossom55 I've had similiar thoughts! We do divide stuff up but I've still done mh's stuff. He's in charge of bathtime but I've given the kids baths when he's oot/working late/sick/whatever. I'm in charge of other grooming but mh has never attempted to cut their nails/clean their ears/trim hair between hair cuts etc. Pretty sure my kids would just end up with dragon claws 😂

My nephew is cute (as all babies are, duh.) and they asked us to be the godparents. Or fake godparent in my case since I'm not catholic. But I guess I can stand up as a witness or something during the baptism? Bil also had me show him how to swaddle which was adorable.
Sil's epidural didn't take well. It only worked on one side and she still had a lot of pain for the whole event. She said "Lakes said this was the best thing ever and I wouldn't feel a thing. She lied! So yeah Lakes, you were totally the villain for a while."
Ummmm. Sorry you had a crappy anesthesiologist? Mine was a god and I didn't feel a damn thing.

Congrats on a sweet baby and "godparent" status! Fwiw with dd my epidural only took on the left side and with R it didn't take at all. If I have another baby I am going to seriously look into the nitrous gas they are starting to offer.

She said they upped it during the middle part of her labor and she couldn't feel anything, just the beginning and end. I have no idea how they work but I'm fascinated by this one side thing. I thought maybe they didn't place hers well?

Lakes, yay for being asked to be a godparent! H is normally pretty good at getting stuff done, so I feel bad even saying anything but it annoyed me today. H did bring me home a big black and white cookie when he went to go get dinner. :-)

Must be the time for sushi because we just got home from FIL's birthday dinner at a sushi place. Afterward, we were hanging around chatting outside and DS1 tells me he needs to go to the bathroom. H is usually the one to take him when we're out together so I told him to ask his dad. He did and H said I needed to take him so I told DS1 to wait because I was busy. Next thing we know, he went back inside the restaurant, grabbed our favorite waitress, and had her help him until we realized what had happened. Bless her. So, I find him in the women's restroom and tell him that he shouldn't have come inside without us. He told me he didn't need me and that I could leave because the lady was helping him. I explained that she couldn't wipe his butt and he should've come and gotten us instead to which he replied, "I DID. (Touche, kid) She's helping me. She gets my food, my drink, and my ice cream. She helps me."
Sigh.
We also had a convo this morning that went as such: DS1: *pokes my boob* What are those? Boobs? Me: Yep. DS1: Why do you have them? Me: God gave them to me. DS1: *looks down and pokes his nipple* God gave me tiny ones.

We hit up Wegmans early this morning. It's my happy place.
Now I'm being impulsive and getting a haircut. Nothing crazy, just my usual shortening and getting my bangs back but the urge struck me out of no where.
BBQ at a friend's house this afternoon.

Whyyyyyy do they have the music blasting and the tv on?! This is suppose to be relaxing me time. Instead I'm overstimulated and angry.

Since I just did a walk-in haircut I didn't see any of the stylists I've had before. That never bugs me since I don't get anything complicated. I sit down in the chair and the stylist says "Last night while my bf and I were playing Pokémon at like 2am, a car hit the spca and cause a fire. It didn't smell like they got all the animals out." 😱😱😱 Why on earth would you say that to a stranger you just met and will be stuck with for 30 minutes? I mean, my hair cut is amazing but I'm still weirded out.
FTR, it is in the news and most of the animals were rescued. A couple of cats perished though.

Its been one of those days. E was up at 6am which is early for her, H got up with her & let me sleep in another 2 hours. God bless the man. So far she has only napped half an hour today. She is fussy and refuses to nap.

Thanks for the tag Lakes. I've been meaning to check in. I haven't been on daily (hourly?) like I used to and wasn't able to login to post for a while either. DD2 is doing great, she will be 6 months on the 19th. She just sat up by herself today! DD1 is loving her. I can't believe our babies are 6 months. I've been enjoying the summer and trying to carve out some time for myself. I'm going to yoga with friends tomorrow.

I've been rubbish at getting online and the forum shift didn't help. F is wonderful, happy and giggly all the time. 6 month on the 19th and He's HUGE though and I feel that holds him back in moving. He was 20lb last weight in a month ago and is wearing 9-12 month clothing. He doesn't roll and doesn't sit up very well or seem interested in solids right now.
I'm doing okay but do feel I need to go back on to anti depressants so seeing my doctor soon. And my partner is now talking about setting a wedding date for next year and I'm not sure how I feel about that. He put me through so much when he was depressed and while it might all be hazy to him I remember it all.
