I donβt think I checked in today. I just finished up reading the Thursday thread, thinking it was Saturday the whole time. Josieβs school has stopped assigning work on Fridays, so we were able to just play a couple of the apps for an hour or so and then continue with our rainy day here. New York canceled school for the rest of the academic year, and I know Connecticut will be right around the corner. Thereβs definitely a sadness in that for me. Charlie will not get a full preschool experience, and I love the program and his teachers so much. Iβm sad they wonβt be able to be together next year.

Josie reads and it still doesnβt stop her bc then she has to tell you everything she read in great detail with extra questions, concerns, reactions, etc. Does anyone want to know about the micro raptor bc I know lots. Oh my... I didnβt even think about this. Iβm already living with a full fledged 6yo zoologist. Once he starts reading himself it is going to get worse π. Get ready! More details than you ever needed to know.

More details than you ever needed to know. Iβm already informed about the mating rituals of okapis, the fact that there are three different kinds of mammals that lay eggs and the natural habitat of tapirs... His new thing is making list of animals in an excel sheet (he dictates, we write), categorised by diet, continent, etc. We currently have over 300 animals on this list. This is all prep for a big zoo, that also includes a baseball field, a playground and a concert hall that heβll start building in Norway (because holland has no space) the day he turns 18 π.

1) if you want something ridiculously cute to look at, check out #hollandlop on Insta. 2) we found this b/c C has a very lifelike stuffed rabbit with floppy ears (named Tan Rabbity, bc we are super original like that) and we wanted to find one like hers. Now she is saying things like, βwhen I get a real bunny...β and planning a princess castle DH can build (!?) for it to live in π³π³π³ I may have created a monster. They arenβt for everyone, as much as I love animals I could do without a rabbit (more of an absence than a presence, really), BUT the kids adore Pipsqueak and seeing how much they enjoy him is well worth it. With the exception of whatever the hell was going on when he got sick a few months ago, theyβre a pretty low maintenance pet. He just roams the house, does his business in his box. Takes me only five minutes a day, tops, to care for his area.

mwhip never ever... I apologised to my parents the other day for thisπ. They told me it got better once i started reading, I loved reading, so that must have helped π€π». Josie reads and it still doesnβt stop her bc then she has to tell you everything she read in great detail with extra questions, concerns, reactions, etc. Does anyone want to know about the micro raptor bc I know lots. This is Dude with geography questions and various metaphysical things. Good Lord, child. I love him, but man does it get to be over the top sometimes. π

Hi. Donβt think I checked in yet. We were so busy at work compared to the last two months. We are definitely not βeasingββinto doing more, more like BAM full schedule.
Not sure whatβs on the agenda for this weekend. Right now I just want to zone out to TV because I didnβt sleep good last night and Iβm mentally tapped out after a busy work day.

The bathroom looked like a bloodbath as we were trying to help Cass get her front tooth out. She fired us and we went over to our next door neighbor who's a dentist and he pulled it in about 4 seconds. She's so happy now. I think our neighbor misses the work.

I submitted my last paper for my last class this afternoon! Two students I havenβt heard from in weeks finally got back to me today and they are okay and itβs going to be a beautiful weekend. We have ordered take out and we will head to the (closed) beach tomorrow for a change of scenery. Itβs a good day.

tgrimes did you get any updates on your mom? I talked to her earlier today and got some more details. When I asked her why she didn't call us she responded with, "I really don't need this right now." I sent her a text 10 min ago asking if she was released yet and she said she's home. Thanks for telling us....

klong11 Did you do that free hulu trial to watch coraline? If so, Beethoven is on there. I bought the dvd online at walmart today for $3. I remember going to the theater in the 6th grade to watch that movie.

guster - Did you get the CT school reopening survey? I was rating responses and there were some bsc ones in the mix, though the highest rated ones were all quite reasonable and well thought out. We are definitely closing, no doubt.

Got a sarcastic sounding email from one of my bosses asking what he could do to help me with the backlog of files in my office. 1. Stay the eff out of my office 2. It's not a backlog, it's all ready to go, labeled and shit waiting for the runner to take it all off-site, a runner that we haven't had because the entire world has been closed other than his martyr ass who continues going into the office. Which is what I replied, but in a way that wouldn't get me fired. It put me on a foul mood, add that to the fact that neither my child nor h are listening to me when I speak and I'm just ready for the day to be done. Looking forward to going into the office for a few silent hours tomorrow. You know, to handle the "backlog". π

DH is preparing for his FAA check tomorrow (whoop whoop!) so I'm watching a new Netflix series called Into The Night. Basically a guy hijacks a plane to head west b/c the sunlight has begun killing everyone around the globe (so the plane is trying to outrun the sun). Super realistic, obviously, but I'm hooked.

Hi friends, Iβm exhausted. We played outside all morning and it was so windy. Then after lunch we ran a couple of errands and then came home where I laid down for a bit. It got to 85 degrees today which is nuts. We have all the windows open and fans running to cool off the house for bedtime. I ordered Pizza Hut for supper and got cinni minis with it because they sounded good. The girls are staying up late because DH told them we could rent trolls world tour at their bedtime. I am laying in my bed with a heating pad on my SI joint. Tomorrow will be busy too so hopefully I can just chill on Sunday.
Big nope to ever getting a pet rabbit. The ones in my yard have soured the species to me.

Hi! Late checking in today. H is home today, he took the day off because they're slow and he's pissed because his boss is trying to transfer him to another department, for standing up to him about a previous issue. I was able to go for a run this morning, then came home and mowed, so that is out of the way for the day. Just doing some work, then probably driveway beers since we didn't last night. H and E are playing Uno flip. At what age do our kids quit talking to us? Mine talks non-stop, like wakes up talking, falls asleep talking, doesn't stop all day. After being home with her so much, I can barely stand it. Like, just be quiet for 10 minutes. 5 even! This is why you have 2, so they talk to each other. ππ 2 kids tho.... Until the middle child talks so much the big one flat out ignores him and the middle child cries "HE WON'T ANSWER ME!!!" ask me how I know........
