The last 2 nights we watched the slide show movies I made when the kids were babies. Then all night I dreamed that I'd decided on 1 more and we were having another kid. Quarantine really got me going nuts.

TGIF. It feels like Saturday to me for some reason.

So we got the waiver approved for our *move* to proceed as planned, but DH is waiting for approval for himself (and technically us by extension) to move as planned. Yes, apparently they are two different things. 🙄 I do not relish paying for a hotel, etc for him for the month of June so maybe this will get wrapped up today.

I made it to the new bakery an hour earlier than Monday. I was able to get some muffins but no cinnamon rolls. I'm glad our community is supporting this new business but damn. I just want some cinnamon rolls!

Hi!!! Yesterday I took the day off from work but I was super busy. Today I’m going over a contract with boss L for a vendor we inherited from someone else during this time. It’s not a great contract imho but oh well.

2) we found this b/c C has a very lifelike stuffed rabbit with floppy ears (named Tan Rabbity, bc we are super original like that) and we wanted to find one like hers. Now she is saying things like, ‘when I get a real bunny...’ and planning a princess castle DH can build (!?) for it to live in 😳😳😳 I may have created a monster.

Trying to get Cadence to finish her seesaw assignment, then she'll have a zoom meeting with her class. Mh had to step in because she couldn't get her eyes in the picture she was drawing to look at her friend that she drew. 🙄
I'm also working on an opinion, but I was to go over the attorneys spreadsheet so he doesn't send it back to me to check again.
Really all I want to do is go back to bed and sleep.

I was able to procure care for Cadence starting June 1st, so looks like I'll be headed back to the office then.

I am just here...working from home. And crying in my wheaties...my jump drive appears to have been wiped. My computer won't recognize it. EVERYTHING for my work life if on there. I have a partial backup...but it's been a bit since I backed it up. I think just yesterday or the day before someone was saying their H was having some kind of issue similar. And the comment was made about why not just use google drive or something. My IT guy just told me the same thing

I missed yesterday, maybe more. Who knows what day it is. I’m feeling burnt out so I’m going to take a day off next week on a day Pete is home and just relax. I usually get to sit down for the night around 8, which is similar to before but I am just so mentally exhausted.

One of my work buds has the virus. He’s at home but miserable and is isolated from his wife and one yr old. He hasn’t even gone out since this whole thing started so his wife, who is air traffic control, must have brought it in. Sucks.

C refuses to do any required work today for school and I don’t have the fight in me so oh well. I’ve seen some stuff about some states continuing distance learning in the fall and the idea makes me want to crawl into a hole.

And I just got shot by a nerf gun. Sigh.

I have a feeling most of these districts are planning for worst case scenario (I’ve heard rumblings of the same thing here in VA) but I’m encouraged when I see other countries sending kids back to school, and that research is showing it seems kids are not big ‘transmitters’. Maybe I’m overly optimistic—and I’m sure the fall will look a bit different—but I think kids will be back. Our current situation just isn’t sustainable long-term.

Morning, well evening for us over here. The kids where complaining how incredibly bored they where the whole day. I told my mom and she told me to send them over to okay in their yard for an hour!!! We just had breakfast for dinner, sausages, American pancakes, eggs, bagels with cream cheese, fruit, the works. The kids loved it. We showed the kids some clips from our trips to cooperstown, Newport, Woodstock, fenway. It was fun to walk through memory lane. We also showed ds a clip op Xander Bogaerts speaking dutch, his eyes about popped out of his sockets 😂.

That was me. 😬 Sorry you cant get your work recovered. I suggested to Mh that he can “back it up” on google docs for the future if he can’t break the flash drive habit.

Yep. Just the few minutes B, especially, has gotten to see his friend in the last couple weeks have been amazing for him.

The camps I’m looking at have put registration on hold thru 5/6 and I’m really hoping by then (or shortly thereafter) they’ll get the go-ahead from officials to at least continue sign-ups.

I was looking up camps yesterday and I’m not seeing much at all other than half day stuff. The one all day camp I was planning on doesn’t even have the info up anymore. It was through a church, so I don’t know. I’ll keep checking, but for now I have two half day sports camps in mind for it I feel comfortable sending him. One in June and one in July. I’ll keep my eye out for more.

His after school is doing all day camp, but he doesn’t care for that place and I was already looking to send him somewhere else for next year, so we will only use them if we absolutely have to.

Is the YMCA in your area? I know they have all-day camps both here and back home.

Yes! Her gymnastics coach will be holding camp, but very small groups per coach. She was already set up for a week in August, but as soon as he said they were starting the end of May, I jumped at the first week in June, since her other camp had cancelled.

Another day In the world of lfig babysitting woes...

S has been home with me for the last 6 weeks-ish. Since I’m returning to work Monday I messaged the babysitter to see if she could start keeping her again and she said she’s 7 weeks pregnant and struggling with morning sickness quite a bit so she’s backing off of babysitting for a couple of months. I’m happy for her....but...ugh!! I swear, babysitting issues plague us!

Luckily I had someone else willing to babysit when we started with this one back in Feb. so I called her and she is going to take her! We are going to meet with her today just so I can make sure that she doesn’t live in filth or anything crazy. And give her a chance to get to know S and fill her in on all of her needs.

Funny TMI FFFC: I like to keep “groomed”.... in the lady region. But razor burn and ingrown hairs get the best of me at times.I had read that if you use Veet for sensitive skin it should be fine....nope. It’s not fine. Burning sensation! Ouch. Do not recommend! I think I will stick with shaving...or maybe try waxing! 😂

Hi! Late checking in today. H is home today, he took the day off because they're slow and he's pissed because his boss is trying to transfer him to another department, for standing up to him about a previous issue.

I was able to go for a run this morning, then came home and mowed, so that is out of the way for the day.

Just doing some work, then probably driveway beers since we didn't last night.

H and E are playing Uno flip. At what age do our kids quit talking to us? Mine talks non-stop, like wakes up talking, falls asleep talking, doesn't stop all day. After being home with her so much, I can barely stand it. Like, just be quiet for 10 minutes. 5 even!

I got my h a tiny bronze duckling that reminded me of the Boston ducks, we have pics of the kids ‘riding’ them, so it’s a fond memory. Since it’s our anniversary and his birthday I got ordered him a cold brew coffee maker & a garden poster with a picture of fenway that I took when we where there. I’ll throw in some nice coffee & chocolate cake and call it a day.

Oh my... I didn’t even think about this. I’m already living with a full fledged 6yo zoologist. Once he starts reading himself it is going to get worse 😭.
