I slept like crap. I hope I can squeeze in a nap today.
I'm on the last season of The Office. It definitely should have ended at least the season prior. Still good for some laughs though.

Morning!
B had speech so DH took him and they brought home chocolate croissants. Perfect excuse for a 2nd cup of coffee.
The dog is already driving me nuts and it's only 9:39. In/out. In/out. Pick one, mutt.
We'll do some schoolwork this morning and B's class has their weekly (optional) Zoom meeting with the guidance counselor. She usually reads a book and just kind of checks in with everyone. Weather is perfect here today so we'll def. get outside for most of the afternoon.

Stop, we make plenty of memories without being on top of each other 24/7. Yes. Accompanied by friends and family and on vacation, at museums, zoos, National parks, at the beach etc preferably. |

Just finished up a small-group meeting for Josie’s class. Just her and another boy. It was cute- they read poems to close out national poetry month.
Not much else here. It should be warm enough to be outside but the forecast says cloudy, so not as enjoyable.
I just a not article about when states should be sort of be ready to ease social distancing. It’s a lot to take in.

flamingo glad my dog isn't the only one behaving like an asshole. My dogs usually go from 6:30 until 4:30/5 with being inside, alone, all day. But since I'm here, they are in and out so much. Like 5 times in the first hour we are up. I'm wondering if I will have to get the kennel back out for my youngest, when I return to the office. It's gloomy and windy here this morning, but Evie is at my moms for a few hours, so I'm going to run outside. I hate the elliptical. It makes my feet hurt so bad, I much prefer running outside.

My dog gives me the look all the time. Her side eye is strong. Like she's wondering if I'm ever going to take her on a walk even if I've already walked her twice. She usually only gets 1 short walk on non-pandemic workdays, but now 2 is not enough attention.

My TKD instructor is an idiot. He mentioned on FB his idea was to build 6x6 plexiglass booths in order to do training. A white belt adult student from the school told him screw the governor I want to you to open up again. 😒😒😒

cagoldi I hope it isn't months before salons open again! I had a very bad experience coloring my own hair years back and refuse to do it again. One of my best friends, who help me fix it at the time, still gives me shit for turning my hair orange. She loves to tell the story. I can't go through the trauma again! I have offered my hair stylist to come to my house and do my hair, although I know it's against state boards and she could lose her license, so she says no. But I'm putting it out there for her since she has no income. And my FB friend who was posting the statuses about numbers and how we should just open everything back up, was back at it yesterday, commenting on another friends post about how she won't wear a mask because it's taking away her rights (????) and she doesn't like how it makes her feel. I really wanted to comment that she should tell doctors, nurses, people who are in the hospital or who have lost loved ones that is her reason to not wear one. But realized she isn't worth my time or energy, because her ignorance will not be swayed.

Good lord. I got an email about upcoming tryouts for Army eSports. They are looking for new talent to have a edge in their competitive teams. I knew the Army had sports teams, but I read further and missed the "e" part. It's for video game teams--multiple. There's actually different teams for various gaming platforms for shit like Call of Duty and Rainbow 6 Siege. Tax dollars at work yo. Unfortunately they don't have a Mario Kart or old school Zelda team so I'm out.

Last night we got a request for a showing today, so I responded that the house had been rented. Today I got another request.
Emailed the PM to inquire and they're like, 'yes, the property has been re-listed." Thanks, guys, would have been nice to get a heads up. DH was *ticked*. So we gave them 3 days a week, with a 2-hour time block on those days, to show the house. If that doesn't work for them, oh well.
20 days til the packers arrive...

This morning is off to a great start. Cadence's school task is an opinion piece on what she thinks is the best animal in the garden. She has chosen the bee. One of the former martial artists from my dojang, who is an amazingly talented 4th degree black belt, is off at college now. He's in ROTC and when he came back for the summer I tried to guide him a little bit about military career choices. I encouraged him to look into the TKD team because he'd be treated like a prince and have a much nicer start to his career. Unfortunately he's at that young and not-yet-jaded on life phase and does not want to be defined by TKD and instead wants to join the infantry. He will regret that decision in a few years I'm sure. |
